CLOSING
66 CLOSING National Space Policy Action Plan 2030: Malaysia Space Exploration 2030 (MSE2030) sets the direction for national space sector development until 2030 to ensure sustainable development of the country's space sector ecosystem is comprehensive across space segments, ground segments and user segments. In addition, MSE2030 is a revelation of the government's continued commitment to develop the capacity of the national space sector and make this sector as a strategic contributor to the sovereignty and sustainability of the national economy. The MSE2030 document outlines strategies and initiatives until the year 2030 as a guide for all parties including government, industry, academia and non-governmental organisations to work together to achieve the national space sector targets to contribute at least 1% or RM10 billion to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and create up to 5000 new knowledge workers and for Malaysia to be ranked top three in Southeast Asia in space technology research and development. The implementing agencies and industry players need to put in efforts and investments to drive the growth and progress of the national space sector and ensure that the benefits of space technology can be felt and accepted by all levels of people in this country. 66
Acknowledgement The Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) through Malaysian Space Agensy (MYSA) would like to express our deepest appreciation and gratitude to all parties who have contributed their inputs and showing their commitment in developing the National Space Policy Action Plan 2030: Malaysia Space Exploration 2030 (MSE2030). Hopefully this MSE2030 Action Plan will be used as main reference for developing the country's space sector ecosystem. 67
