Welcome

We made it. The 2021 season is here. Normal is still a way out, but we
have another football season to look forward to; with fans in stadiums,
the return of opt-out players, and a dynamic rookie class. There is so
much to look forward to – most especially the annual re-draft.
As a reminder, the 2020 season was run outside of our typical keeper
format and we will be using the 2019 rosters to block out who is
unavailable to be kept. I’ve included 2020 results, but they will not be
included in the historical records.
I am proud to announce that there are no new GMs for the third year in
a row. Stability continues to be a great resource that our league cannot
lose sight of. Take this time to enjoy the company of your fellow GM’s,
their loved ones, and our other guests as you are comfortable.
Since our inauguration in 2012, it has been the league’s mission to
provide a fun and safe atmosphere for our managers and other
honored guests. The managers who have been with us for the draft
experience will tell you that it is truly a "once-in-a-lifetime" opportunity.
We are committed to doing everything possible to make your trip to
Muscatine a wonderful experience for you, so please grab a name
plate, find a seat, crack a beverage, and get ready to experience the
dream once again.
Sincerely,

Seth C. Munier,
Ball So Hard Commissioner and President of Communications

Agenda Items for 2021

Voting Rules
To pass, all items must pass by majority vote plus one, meaning
at least 8 affirmative votes if all owners are in attendance. Those
who are acting as proxy for a regular league member will not get
a vote, but GM’s not present may signal their intent prior to the
vote and let their proxy vote on their behalf. All changes made
during the offseason will go into effect in this year’s season.

Offseason Voting
This offseason, the league reverted to rules established prior to
the COVID-19 pandemic. They are:

• Annual dues increased from $25 to $60
• Bench decreased from 7 to 6
• IR spots decreased from 4 to 1

Additionally, we have adjusted the following rules:

• Adding one regular season game and moving playoffs to
start week 15. Championship in week 17 and no one plays
week 18.

Items for voting:

1. Add a third WR starting spot.
2. Remove the K position and starting spot.

Open Forum
All requests and ideas will be heard by the league. Please limit
yourself to 3 minutes of proposal so we can have a few minutes
for questions. Any item presented during this time will need to
be voted on prior to implementation into next season.

2020 Team Recaps, In Reverse Order of Final
Standings from a Season that Didn’t Count

MORTON (5-8, .385) | 12th OVR, 9th REG

A week 1 trade with Isaiah, which shipped off Clyde Edwards-Helaire
and Terry McLaurin for Miles Sanders and Josh Jacobs looked like a win
out of the gate, this team wasn’t as competitive as it could’ve been.
Jacobs finished RB8, but Miles Sanders finished RB23 (a spot above
CEH), Chris Godwin finished as WR30 and there wasn’t enough depth
to ever make a push for the playoffs. At 1,498 total points, Kyle fell in
last place for total and average points scored per week (115) and 5
points behind the next closest team. With an average of 125 points
scored against each week, Kyle came in at 10th in point differential.
Luckily this poor season won’t go against his permanent record.

MUNIER (3-10, .231) | 11th OVR, 11th REG

This was Seth’s worst season since 2016, when he also went 3-10. On
paper, this team shouldn’t have been as bad as it was. Injuries to pretty
much all running backs selected by this team (Saquon Barkley, Le’Veon
Bell, Raheem Mostert, Devonta Freeman, Justin Jackson) left Goin’ Ham
on Ham struggling to find consistent touches at the RB position. In the
end it wasn’t COVID that wrecked this team in 2020, it was injuries.
Nothing to do now but look forward to next year.

PHILLIPS (4-9, .308) | 10th OVR, 10th REG

This was Isaiah’s first season under .500 since 2017. Another team that
looks good on paper but was hurt by a lack of WR production. Isaiah
finished the season with 1,736 points scored (134 avg) and racked up
1,697 points against (131 avg). The week 1 trade with Kyle turned out to
be a bust as McLaurin finished WR22 and CEH finished RB24.
Surprisingly, that turned out to be his only trade of the season.

12

SACKFIELD (3-10, .231) | 9th OVR, 12th REG

With a 3-10 regular season record, Jon finished under .500 for the
second consecutive year. Jon skid into the offseason with a 5-game
losing streak, but redeemed himself in the playoffs, winning the
Consolation bracket. With Michael Thomas getting hurt in week 1 and
Ekeler hurt for much of the season, Jon had to rely on finding some
hidden gems to get much needed wins. J.D. McKissic, Ekeler’s return,
and some lucky IDP scores turned out to be the key to that playoff run.
Unfortunately for Jon, he ended up with the 2nd worst points scored
total of 1,558 and the worst point differential overall (-17).

PRILL (8-5, .615) | 8th OVR, 6th REG

2020 was easily Eric’s strongest showing since joining the Ball So Hard
league. He raced into the Championship playoffs on a 4-game winning
streak, only to lose all three playoff weeks and settle for an 8th place
finish. Ezekiel Elliott finished as RB10 but Calvin Ridley was a nice
surprise, finishing as WR4. Prill finished the season ranked 8th with 1,782
total points scored (137 avg) and ended up in the middle of the pack in
terms of points against with 1,804 (139 avg).

WILSON (9-4, .692) | 7th OVR, 2th REG

The 2020 season was Brian’s best regular season result ever in Ball So
Hard and first time finishing above .500 since 2012. After starting the
season at 1-2, Brian won 8 of the last 10 weeks in the regular season.
Kittle was a disappointment last year, finishing as TE18 but DK Metcalf
was a great find in the middle of the draft, finishing as WR6. Brian
finished the season ranked 4th in points scored with 1,886 (145 avg) and
had to deal with the 3rd most points against (142 avg).

13

ROZINEK (8-5, .615) | 6st OVR, 3th REG

For the third year in a row, Tanner finished in the top 3 in the regular
season. Cook, Chubb, and Thielen all reached their expected totals for
the season but some of the depth left much to be desired. JuJu
finished as WR19, behind teammate Chase Claypool. After a streak in
the middle of the season losing 5 out of 6 consecutive weeks, Tanner
sprinted into the Championship playoff bracket winning his last 5
regular season games. However, three straight sub-par performances in
the playoffs kept him off the podium in 2020. Tanner finished the
season with 1,937 points scored (149 avg), which was good enough for
2nd place and 1,885 points against (145 avg) which was the 2nd most for
any team.

TOYNE (6-7 .462) | 5th OVR, 8th REG

For the second year in a row and third time in four years, Chad finished
the regular season under .500. His 1,808 points scored (139 avg) was
good enough for 7th best. The 1,820 points scored against him (140
avg) was 4th most in the league. Chad started off strong, winning 6 of
the first 7 weeks before his season unraveled, not winning again until
the second week of the playoffs. Surprisingly, even with terrible seasons
from Joe Mixon (RB49), and Julio Jones (WR52), Chad was able to grab
several gems late in the draft. Stefon Diggs well outperformed his 81st
overall selection, finishing as WR3. Justin Jefferson made Chad look
smart after the 129th selection finished as WR6.

ABBOTT (6-6-1, .500) | 4th OVR, 6th REG

Finishing 6th at the end of the regular season after a tie-breaker win in
week 2 against Tomfeld, Tony ended up dropping the week 15 playoff
game to the same team. To that point, the week 13 tie between Tony
and Zach was the first in BSH history. Towards the end of the season,
things were looking up for Tony. Going into week 10 at 6-4, there was
hope for a top 3 finish. Unfortunately, the only win that Tony would see
the rest of the year was week 14, the first week of the playoffs. Tony
finished with 1,879 points scored (145 avg) which was 5th best in the
league. However he saw 1,945 points scored against (150 avg) which
was the most out of any team in the league.

14

RAMSEY (8-5, .615) | 3rd OVR, 4th REG

Coming off his 1st place finish in 2019, Craig followed up with a better
regular season record, but didn’t match the playoff run. Craig finished
3rd in most points scored with 1,909 (147 avg) and saw 1,817 (140 avg)
scored against. Christian McCaffrey’s season was derailed by injuries
but luckily Aaron Rodgers produced one of his best seasons, finishing
the 2020 season as QB2. Craig’s week 8 trade with Tony might have
saved his season, as Hill and Dobbins finished strong and Williams and
Carson fell off.

TOMFELD (6-6-1, .500) | 2nd OVR, 7th REG

The other half of the first ever tie in BSH history, Zach was able to put on
a show in the playoffs and make a Cinderella-type run at the
Championship. Tomfeld finished the season with 1,835 points scored
(141 avg), 6th best in the league. He also had the 6th best points against
with 1,793 (138 avg). The pick of Derrick Henry looked good as the #7
pick as he finished the season as RB3. Henry, Brandin Cooks, and Myles
Gaskin all turned in fantastic playoff runs.

HOOPES (11-2, .846) | 1st OVR, 1st REG

It feels like almost every year I talk about Sam winning the
Championship. This is Sam’s fourth Championship in 10 years with BSH.
This was Sam’s second time posting 11 wins in a season, repeating the
feat he established in 2014. Sam posted the most points scored in the
league 2,039 (157 avg). He was also lucky enough to only have 1,673
points scored against (129 avg) which was 2nd lowest in the league. His
+28 point differential was highest in the league by far – with the second
best differential being only +7.
