Welcome
This week, twelve teams will pick their players to start the 2022 season.
One team is ultimately starting their adventure to being crowned
champion. Another team is having the best day of the season, before
winning the LTP Award.
For the first time in five seasons, we have a new GM. Josh Glasson is
replacing Zach Tomfeld and will pick fourth overall. Over his tenure with
Ball So Hard, Zach racked up an overall record of 27-38-1 (40.9%). His
best season was 2020, when he finished in second place, losing the Super
Bowl to Sam Hoopes. He was involved in the only tie game to have
occurred in Ball So Hard’s history; a 98.12 – 98.12 tie with Tony Abbott
in week 13 of the 2020 season. Please join me in bidding farewell to
Zach.
Please take this time to enjoy the company of your fellow GM’s, their
loved ones, and our other guests. It’s football time once again!
Since our inauguration in 2012, it has been the league’s mission to
provide a fun and safe atmosphere for our managers and other honored
guests. The managers who have been with us for the draft experience will
tell you that it is truly a "once-in-a-lifetime" opportunity. We are
committed to doing everything possible to make your trip to Muscatine a
wonderful experience for you, so please grab a name plate, find a seat,
crack a beverage, and get ready to experience the dream once again.
Sincerely,
Seth C. Munier,
Ball So Hard Commissioner and President of Communications

2021 Team Recaps, In Reverse Order of Final
Standings
PHILLIPS (2-12, .143) | 12th OVR, 12th REG
Keeper Speculation: Rashod Bateman (12th) ) ● Cam Akers (FA)
It was week 8 before Isaiah found the win column last year. Right away, that
should tell you that it wasn’t going to be his year. Isaiah finished below .500 for
the third time in five years and had easily has worst season since the inception of
the league. Prior to 2021, Isaiah had managed at least 4 wins every year, but
with no draft pick until the 4th round (41st overall), it’s easy to understand why he
struggled.
Isaiah’s team scored an average of 108 points per game, 12 points worse than
the 11th place team in that category. In some sort of cruel irony, Isaiah’s
opponents only scored 137 points per game, good for lowest average in 2021.
Quite the pity party. The good news is that Isaiah has all his draft picks this year
and should be able to rebound well.
Patrick Mahomes finished as the QB4 and Matthew Stafford surprised a little,
finishing as QB6.
HISTORIC NOTES:
WEEK 2 With a win, Isaiah can take the overall lead with Brian (9-9)
WEEK 3 With a win, Isaiah can tie up the series with Eric (3-4)
HOOPES (3-11, .214) | 11th OVR, 11th REG
Keeper Speculation: Brandin Cooks (8th) ● AJ Dillon (9th) ● Rhamondre Stevenson (15th)
2021 was Sam’s worst season in BSH, however it wasn’t immediately
obvious. Going into week 5, Sam was 2-2. But Saquon Barkley went
down, resulting in a string of 7 losses in a row that squashed all hopes for
a run into the playoffs. This was the first time in 3 years that he finished
under .500 and first year ever with less than five wins. Sam scored an
average of 121 points per game, good for 10th in that category.
Meanwhile, opponents were scoring over 146 points per game, the 5th
lowest in the league. Even with the poor showing in 2021, Sam holds the
second-best overall win% among active managers at just over 55% (65-
53-0).
Without a pick in round 1, there were still busts all along the way for Sam
as he finished with only 2 non-QB players inside the top 20 in their
11
positions; Brandin Cooks (WR14) and Dawson Knox (TE10). AJ Dillon did
outproduce his draft position, finishing RB22 after being drafted as RB38.
HISTORIC NOTES:
WEEK 2 With a win, Sam can tie up the series with Craig (6-7)
WEEK 3 With a loss, Seth can tie up the series with Sam (7-6)
WEEK 7 With a win, Sam can tie up the series with Kyle (10-11)
ABBOTT (6-8, .429) | 10th OVR, 9th REG
Keeper Speculation: Kadarius Toney (11th)
Another fantasy football season, another 6 wins for Tony. For the fifth
straight year, Tony finished the regular season with 6 wins. Consistency is
great, but not when it’s also mediocrity. Tony’s season started with a nail-
biting 1-point win over Tanner (141.32 - 140.36) but it took until week 7
to find the win column again. Tony might be happy that Zach has left the
league as he went 0-3 against him this season, including a loss in the
playoffs.
Tony averaged 132 points / game, 4th lowest in the league for the year.
He also averaged 137 points against, which was the 2nd lowest (best) in
the league.
Jaylen Waddle was a gem in Tony’s draft class, finishing the season as
WR14 after being drafted at WR41.
The good news for 2022 is that Tony has extra picks in each of the first
three rounds after the major trade with Eric Prill last season.
HISTORIC NOTES:
WEEK 1 With a win, Tony can take the series lead with Brian (6-6)
WEEK 2 With a loss, Chad can tie up the series with Tony (7-6)
WEEK 3 With a win, Tony can take the series lead with Tanner (4-5)
WEEK 7 With a win, Tony can tie up the series with Seth (6-5)
WEEK 8 With a win, Tony can take the series lead with Eric (2-2)
WEEK 10 With a loss, Jon can tie up the series with Tony (6-5)

TOMFELD > GLASSON (4-10, .286) | 9th OVR, 10th REG
Keeper Speculation: Christian Kirk (16th)
The first half of the season provided hope that Zach could defend his
league title. Going into week 7, Zach was 3-3 and in 6th place, but little
did he know that he would only get 1 more win in the regular season.
That 6-game losing streak in the second half of the season resulted in
Zach missing the Championship Playoff. However, he did end up winning
both playoff games and winning the Consolation Bracket.
Tomfeld finished the season scoring an average of 121 points / game,
the 2nd worst in the league. He benefited from favorable opponent
scoring with adversaries scoring an average 140 points against, good for
5th lowest in the league.
MORTON (7-7, .500) | 8th OVR, 7th REG
Keeper Speculation: Diontae Johnson (5th) ● Damien Harris (7th)
The 2021 season was a nice bounce-back for Kyle after winning the LTP
award in 2020. Kyle was one of three managers that finished the first
14-game season at 7-7. It was his first season finishing right at .500. Kyle
is now the only active manager (other than incoming GM Josh Glasson)
without a podium finish. The part that makes that even more impressive is
that Kyle is a founding member of BSH and has played every year since
2012. He currently sits 7th among active managers with a win-rate of
50.4% (59-58-0). Kyle scored an average of 141 points per game and
his opponents were averaging 148 points per game, both ranked 8th best
in the league.
Unfortunately, Kyle doesn’t have a lot to be happy about when looking
back at his draft. His first 5 picks all under performed with only Kyler
Murray finishing in the top 20 of their respective positions. There were
two bright spots: Diontae Johnson (WR8) and Damien Harris (RB18) both
outperformed projections.
HISTORIC NOTES:
WEEK 2 With a loss, Eric can tie up the series with Kyle (3-2)
WEEK 3 With a loss, Jon can tie up the series with Kyle (6-7)
WEEK 6 With a win, Kyle can take the series lead with Chad (5-5)
WEEK 7 With a loss, Sam can tie up the series with Kyle (11-10)
WEEK 10 With a win, Craig can take the series lead with Kyle (6-6)
13
SACKFIELD (8-6, .571) | 7th OVR, 5th REG
Keeper Speculation: Ja’Marr Chase (7th)
For the first time since the 2018 season, Jon finished above .500. With his
8-6 regular season record, Jon now sits in 9th place among active
managers with a 49-55-0 overall record (47.1%). Jon averaged 149
points per game, 7th best in the league. Opponents averaged 145 points
against, 4th best in the league.
Jon had a stronger second half, entering week 7 with a 2-4 record
before winning 6 of the next 7 weeks of the season. Jon’s should be
happy with his finish especially because he didn’t have a first-round draft
pick. He had a few shining stars in his draft, with both Joe Mixon (RB4)
and Ja’Marr Chase (WR5) far exceeding their drafted position.
HISTORIC NOTES:
WEEK 1 With a win, Jon can take the series lead with Chad (5-5)
WEEK 3 With a loss, Kyle can tie up the series with Jon (7-6)
WEEK 6 With a win, Jon can tie up the series with Eric (3-4)
WEEK 7 With a win, Jon can tie up the series with Tanner (3-4)
WEEK 10 With a win, Jon can tie up the series with Tony (5-6)
MUNIER (10-4, .714) | 6th OVR, 3rd REG
Keeper Speculation: Jalen Hurts (10th) ● Dallas Goedert (FA)
A disappointing playoff run put a bad taste on a strong, 10-win regular
season. Even with 3rd round pick, JK Dobbins, being unavailable all
season, there were other bright spots, with Seth having 8 offensive
players finishing in the top 20 of their respective positions.
Seth finished the season averaging 155 points per game, 6th best in the
league. Opponents averaged 148 points per game, 7th lowest in the
league.
Seth is currently tied for 2nd place in win% among active managers,
55.1% (65-53-0).
HISTORIC NOTES:
WEEK 3 With a win, Seth can tie up the series with Sam (6-7)
WEEK 4 With a loss, Chad can tie up the series with Seth (7-6)
WEEK 7 With a win, Seth can tie up the series with Tony (5-6)
WEEK 9 With a loss, Eric can tie up the series with Seth (4-3)
14
ROZINEK (7-7 .500) | 5th OVR, 8th REG
Keeper Speculation: Tee Higgins (4th) ● Mark Andrews (6th)
Over the last four years, Tanner has won one fewer game each season.
Hopefully he can adjust that trend this season and avoid falling under
.500. At 26-14-0, Tanner currently holds the best win% of any active
manager (65.0%).
Tanner averaged 163 points per game, 3rd best in the league. His
opponents averaged 150 points per game, 3rd highest in the league.
Tanner’s strength came in the middle of the season when teams were
looking to manage bye week issues. Starting in week 5, Tanner went on a
5-game win streak, setting himself up for a strong finish. That wouldn’t be
the case though as he followed it up with a 4-game losing streak.
Tanner had reasonable strength across his roster, with 7 offensive players
finishing in the top 20 of their positions.
HISTORIC NOTES:
WEEK 3 With a loss, Tony can tie up the series with Tanner (5-4)
WEEK 5 Eric will be searching for his first win against Tanner (0-4)
WEEK 7 With a loss, Jon can tie up the series with Tanner (4-3)
WEEK 8 With a loss, Brian can tie up the series with Tanner (4-3)
TOYNE (11-3, .786) | 4th OVR, 1st REG
Keeper Speculation: Deebo Samuel (4th) ● Kyle Pitts (6th) ● James Conner (8th)
Chad finished the regular season in first place but should be disappointed
that he failed to make the podium in the playoffs. It was the first time in
his career that Chad won more than 8 games and the first time being
over .500 since he won the Championship in 2018. Chad was able to
string together two separate 4-game win streaks during the course of the
season and avoided losing two games in a row until the playoffs.
Chad’s team scored an average of 156 points per game, good for 5th
best in the league. Opponents scored an average of 148 points against
him, good enough for 9th highest in the league. Chad finished the season
with 6 players in the top 20 of their position, including 3 in the top 10.
Chad sits in 8th place for win% among active managers at 47.9% (57-
62-0).
15
HISTORIC NOTES:
WEEK 1 With a win, Chad can take the series led with Jon (5-5)
WEEK 2 With a win, Chad can tie up the series with Tony (6-7)
WEEK 3 With a win, Chad can tie up the series with Brian (5-6)
WEEK 4 With a win, Chad can tie up the series with Seth (6-7)
WEEK 6 With a win, Chad can take the series led with Kyle (5-5)
WILSON (7-7, .500) | 3rd OVR, 6th REG
Keeper Speculation: Darnell Mooney (9th) ● Cordarrelle Patterson (FA)
So, the team with 5 first-round picks finishes at 7-7. A bit of a letdown but
the saving grace here is that Brian finished on the podium for the first time
since 2013, when he also got 3rd place. It was also only the 2nd time in 9
seasons that Brian finished with a record of .500 or better. Brian’s team
finished with 8 offensive players in the top 20 of their positions and 6 of
those in the top 10 positionally. He started the season strong with a
record of 5-1 by the start of week 7. Brian followed that up with 6 losses
in the next 7 weeks. The real gem of a story line is that Brian kept Chad
off the podium in the 3rd place game and ultimately won the bet with
Chad over who will need to chug beers before the draft.
Brian currently sits in 10th place for win% among active managers at
40.7% (48-70-0). This season, Brian averaged 168 points per game, the
2nd best in the league. However, opponents were always bringing their
“A-game” as they scored an average of 151 points against, the highest in
the league.
HISTORIC NOTES:
WEEK 1 With a win, Brian can take the series lead with Tony (6-6)
WEEK 2 With a win, Brian can take the series lead with Isaiah (9-9)
WEEK 3 With a loss, Chad can tie up the series with Brian (6-5)
WEEK 8 With a win, Brian can tie up the series with Tanner (3-4)
16
PRILL (9-5, .643) | 2nd OVR, 4th REG
Keeper Speculation: D’Andre Swift (4th) ● Michael Pittman Jr. (8th)
It’s now a streak! Prill has finished over .500 for the second consecutive
season and achieved a podium finish for the first time in his 4-year career
in the BSH league. He moved up to 11th place in win% (35.0%) among
active managers now that Zach left the league. However, he’s only in
front of Josh, who hasn’t played a game yet.
Prill’s team scored an average of 159 points per game, good enough for
4th best in the league. Unfortunately, opponents were scoring 151 points
against, good for 2nd highest in the league. Eric finished the season with 9
offensive players ranked in the top 20 of their positions.
HISTORIC NOTES:
WEEK 3 With a loss, Isaiah can tie up the series with Eric (4-3)
WEEK 5 Eric will be looking for his first win against Tanner (0-4)
WEEK 6 With a loss, Jon can tie up the series with Eric (4-3)
WEEK 8 With a win, Eric can take the lead in the series with Tony (2-2)
WEEK 9 With a win, Eric can tie up the series with Seth (3-4)
RAMSEY (10-4, .714) | 1st OVR, 2nd REG
Keeper Speculation: Joe Burrow (13th) ● Travis Etienne (FA) ● Elijah Mitchell (FA)
For the second time in 3 years, Craig comes out on top and wins the BSH
Championship. Craig becomes just the 3rd GM to win the Championship
multiple times, following Sam Hoopes (4) and Chad Toyne (2). Craig’s
overall win% of 54.3% (57-48-0) is good enough for 4th among active
managers.
Craig’s team scored the most points, averaging 176 per game.
Opponents averaged 146 points against, good enough for 6th lowest in
the league. Craig’s winning roster consisted of Jonathan Taylor (RB1),
Cooper Kupp (WR1), Justin Herbert (QB2), George Kittle (TE3), and 4
more in the top 20 of their positions.
HISTORIC NOTES:
WEEK 2 With a loss, Sam can tie up the series with Craig (7-6)
WEEK 10 With a win, Craig can take the lead in the series with Kyle (6-6)
