first look option

The first look between a bride and her groom is such a special moment. It’s a moment I love capturing! That
said, I have a great appreciation for the traditional first look that takes place during the wedding ceremony.
There is no right or wrong answer - it’s all personal preference. Planning a first look does allow for many of the
formal portraits to take place in advance of the ceremony. Some couples prefer this, as it reduces the amount of
time they spend away from their guests following the ceremony.

family photos

Cheering for every bride and groom is their very excited, very proud, families. Family photos are an important
part of wedding photography - and each wedding has it’s own unique flow for family photos. I encourage family
photos to be scheduled immediately following the ceremony. This creates an opportunity for your officiant
to announce that family photos will follow the ceremony - a perfect time since everyone is still together! I
recommend allowing approximately 30 minutes for family photos. Designating a key individual to round up
family members is a fantastic way to keep this process moving quickly.

second photographer (option)

There are endless opportunities to capture special moments throughout the wedding day, and not just between
the bride and groom. It is not uncommon for a wedding to have more than one photographer capture certain
aspects of the wedding day. For couples that prefer to maximize their wedding photography coverage, I do
have second photographers available to assist me when requested. Consistency in the story my photography
portrays is very important to me, therefore I put a lot of consideration into the photographers who assist me at
any wedding. All second photographers are quoted on an individual basis.

sneak peek photos & online mini gallery

Anticipation and excitement - you want to see your photos! I release a small gallery of 5-10 edited “sneak
peek” wedding photos within 48 hours of your wedding. This is often helpful for Thank You cards, Wedding
Announcements, etc. following your wedding.

payment

A $250 non-refundable retainer fee is required to secure your date. The retainer fee is typically paid at our first
meeting. The remainder of your wedding photography package price must be paid in full 7 days in advance of
your wedding date. I do accept installments or payment plans leading up to your wedding, with a final payment

(total balance paid in full) 7 days in advance of your wedding date.

custom wedding packages

There is no “one size fits all” wedding photography package. Every couple has their own unique
vision for their wedding day. Need help choosing what’s best for you? I can gladly assist you in building

a custompackage that will provide you with the best coverage for your wedding.

why a courtesy engagement session?

An engagement session is included in each of my wedding photography packages because I firmly
believe that they are a VITAL part of the entire process. During your engagement session, you’ll have the
chance to get to know me, experience how I shoot, and how I handle posing and lighting. This session
will make a HUGE impact on how the wedding day flows. I’ll arrive on your wedding day already knowing
how you two interact, what your best poses are and how to photograph you in a genuine way! What I
learn about you during your engagement session is invaluable. You will feel like such a pro on your big
day because of the practice you had during your engagement session... and that’s how it should be!
*brides who opt to decline the engagement session will not receive a reduction or change
in the price of their respective wedding photography package

“ timeless images deserve to be showcased ”

With a firm belief that beautiful images deserve to be cherished for generations, I provide full service photography
to each of my brides and grooms, partnering with a Professional Imaging Lab located in Toronto.
Promising to deliver the highest quality prints, acrylic mounts, cavases and stunning albums,
allowing you to relive every unique moment of your special day.

We live in a digital revolution! It is estimated that in 10 years, this ‘most photographed’ generation will
have no pictures. That makes my heart so sad! In 25 years we will have drawers filled with CDs,
cell phones that no longer work and USBs that are no longer viable, containing the photos
that tell the stories of our life.

I plan to change that! Your timeless, beautiful moments deserve to be showcased and cherished for generations.
I am pleased to offer in-home custom art consultations showcasing samples of beautiful prints, canvases and acrylics.

questionsfrequently asked

how many photographers will be at our wedding?

Each of my packages include one photographer - myself! It is not uncommon for a couple to request to have an additional
photographer cover a portion of their day; typically the groom and groomsmen getting ready, ceremony and cocktail hour. This

does provide very thorough coverage, resulting in the delivery of additional photos, more moments captured, etc.

will i receive every picture you take at our wedding?

You will receive full resolution, edited digital images that I have selected through a culling process.
The images that are presented to my couples are chosen with much consideration and deliberation. I typically capture a burst

of up to 10 images of the same pose or moment. Of these photos, there may be multiple images with eyes that are closed,
expressions that are not desirable, or even people who are looking away from the camera. I cull out these images that are not

ideal, and select the images that tell your story in the most beautiful way possible.

do you have preferred vendors you recommend?

Absolutely! A wonderful aspect of working in the wedding industry is building relationships with some pretty amazing vendors.
The vendors I recommend are credible, highly skilled at what they do, and are simply wonderful people to be around.

what is your photography style?

I strive to produce artistic images that are timeless; showcasing emotion, creativity, all while telling a story.
My images are rich in colour, and captured in beautiful light. I love natural light, it is magical. That said, natural light isn’t always
the best light. I will combine natural light with flash/studio lights to create ideal (even magical) portrait lighting in situations
where there is not adequate light. I do set up lighting for all of my receptions, producing dynamic, romantic images with that

magic touch of creative lighting.

do you have liability insurance?

Yes! I invest in a thorough insurance policy for my small business that protects both my equipment if it should be damaged, and
protects myself with liability insurance. If you or your venue requires to see a copy of my policy, please submit a written request

in advance of your wedding date.

when will i receive my wedding photographs?

You will receive your wedding photos within 8 weeks of your wedding. Having been a bride once myself, I understand how
anxious you are to receive your images. With that in mind, I work my hardest to deliver high quality photos in a pleasing timeline.

where should i get my photos printed?

Printing photos at mass consumer printers is essentially a game of russian roulette. There is no guarantee that your photos are
going to be cropped properly (heads, hands, or feet may be cut off), or the colour may be incorrect with a greenish or orange
hue/colour cast. I partner with a professional lab to provide the highest quality, colour-correct prints, canvases, albums and wall art to

all my clients.

meet yopur hotographer

Hello friend :) let’s connect

Until we have a chance to meet in person, here are some 519.820.4983
basics about me! I am a lover of Jesus, coffee, naps, cows, hollymcfarlane@live.ca
baking, pyrography, bible journaling and art, and the farm www.hollymcfarlane.ca
life. My husband, Rob, and I were married in June 2013 and /hollymcfarlanephotography
became parents for the first time in July 2014. We have two hollymcfarlanephotography
children, Benson and Victoria. We live on Rob’s childhood
farm in the rural Guelph area. It’s not uncommon for me to tag
along behind my family, camera in-hand, capturing all of the
fun childhood moments on the farm. I love frequent trips to
Michael’s and Homsense - Rae Dunn, need I say more?
Above all, I want to be more than a vendor on your wedding
day - I’d love to be a friend. I promise to be my regular ‘ol
goofy self throughout our adventures together!

Photography has always been my passion. I completed
a Professional Photography program, and an Intensive
Course in Wedding Photography. An active learner, I
continue to enroll in a variety of courses and workshops to
further acquire and develop my skill. 2014 saw me commit
to my business full time, leaving the corporate world
behind and embracing entreprenureship.
Now that I’ve told you my story, let me tell yours.

Through my photography,I want to capture the relationships
that define you: relationships with your pets, your places,
and your people. My favourite images are always candids.
Typically, I’ll take a few posed portraits at the beginning of
a session as a warm-up, but then we’ll quickly move on to
the fun stuff, and the raw stuff. I’ll give you cues, sometimes
serious and sometimes absolutely ridiculous, so you have
a bit of direction, but my goal is always to capture real
reactions.

I look forward to meeting you, getting to know you, and
capturing your story.

Warmest regards,
Holly
