Seven C Food Corporation started as a small business venture of spouses Alberto and Mary Grace Cruz in 2000. Producing only 250 kilos of Nata de Coco in 32 oz jars from their home kitchen, the owners started selling their products in a public market in Bulacan. The Sta. Maria Dairy (SMD) Farmers MPC was established in 1970 by dairy farmers from Sta. Maria, Bulacan and nearby towns. In 2009, majority of SMD's equipment were destroyed due to typhoon Ondoy, which affected its operations. Through the assistance of DTI, SMD received cold storage and packaging equipment.
