Snapshot Autobiography
By: Edwin Figueroa
Losing someone you love
Losing someone can really hurt.
And I experienced it when I least
expected it. It felt like it happened
so quickly. My dad got a phone call
and was told that my uncle was
dead. It felt like I blinked and I
instantly went to the funeral.
People were crying and I realized
what happened. The reason why
this shapes the person that I am
today Is because It showed me how
letting go can really hurt. It has also
made me not want to let people go
sometimes.
Losing a Pet
Losing pets can really hurt. I lost my
dog at the age of 5. At the age of 9 I
got a new one. I couldn’t forget him
for a while. It shaped my brother,
dad, and me. I guess we can say that I
learned not to love someone
completely because you will lose
something you love and you know you
won’t ever see it again.
Seeing your mom go through pain
Seeing your parents get hurt really hurts.
Seeing how you just stand there while
there in the hospital bed really hurts and
makes you regret. At the age of 6 I saw
my mom in the hospital bed. She has
surgery and doctors said that her heart
pulse stopped. My dad stayed by her side
for 9 hours. My mom's heart beat
continued. Years later I asked my mom
what she saw when she was asleep and
she said she saw her dead dad. Her dad
was feeding the animals. My mom then
said she woke up. The reason why this
shaped the person that I am today would
be because It shows how dangerous life
can be and how complicated and how
many close calls there could be
Seeing others get hurt
I am pretty sure that we’ve all seen someone
getting bullied or hurt but you can’t do
anything because standing up for the kid that
is getting bullied can have its plot twist. For
example you try to step in and the kid that
was being bullied might see you as a bully
and run and ask for help. The reason why this
has shaped the person that I am today would
be because you know that you can help them
and not just look. It gets you to realize that
you can always try and get the best out of it.
