7. CONGREGATIONAL HYMNS
I BH133: ALL HAIL THE POWER OF JESUS’ NAME
1. All hail the power of Jesus’ name! 3. Let every kindred, every tribe,
Let angels prostrate fall; On this terrestrial ball
Bring forth the royal diadem, To Him all majesty ascribe,
And crown Him, crown Him, crown Him, And crown Him, crown Him, crown Him,
Crown Him Lord of all. Crown Him Lord of all.
2. Ye chosen seed of Israel’s race 4. O that with yonder sacred throng
Ye ransomed from the fall, We at His feet may fall!
Hail Him who saves you by His grace. We’ll join the everlasting song.
And crown Him, crown Him, crown Him, And crown Him, crown Him, crown Him,
Crown Him Lord of all. Crown Him Lord of all. Amen
II BH 43: IMMORTAL, INVISIBLE III BH 283: THE SOLID ROCK
1. Immortal, invisible God only wise, 1. My hope is built on nothing less
In light inaccessible hid from our eyes, Than Jesus’s blood and righteousness
Most blessed, most glorious, the Ancient of Days, I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
Almighty, victorious, Thy great name we praise. But wholly lean on Jesus’ name.
2. Unresting, unhasting, and silent as light, Refrain:
Nor wanting, nor wasting Thou rulest in might; On Christ the solid Rock, I stand;
Thy justice like mountains high soaring above, All other ground is sinking sand;
Thy clouds which are fountains of goodness and love. All other ground is sinking sand
3. To all, life Thou givest to both great and small; 2. When darkness seems to hide His face,
In all life Thou livest, the true life of all; I rest on His unchanging grace;
We blossom and flourish as leaves on the tree. In every high and stormy gale,
And wither and perish but naught changeth Thee. My anchor holds within the veil,
4. Great Father of glory, pure Father of light, 3. His oath, His convenant, His blood,
Thine angels adore Thee, all veiling their sight; Support me in the whelming flood;
All praise we would render; O help us to see When all around my soul gives way,
‘Tis only the splendor of light hideth Thee! Amen. He then is all my hope and stay.
4. When He shall come with trumpet sound,
Oh, may I then in Him be found;
Dressed in His righteousness alone,
Faultless to stand before the throne.

MY PARTNER OF 63 YEARS
What can I write about my life partner of 63 years?
Before we got married on the 10th March 1960 I had known her father's family for over 14 Years. My father
had only two friends; Pa Joseph Ogunlade (Teacher) and Pa John Adaramola (my wife's father). The
friendship of my dad and Pa Adaramola was close and tight. I was usually sent to Pa Adaramola at least
once a fortnight. This was how I meet Omolade (my wife)
Since we got married in my last year at University College Ibadan, UCI, when she was teaching at Aipate
Baptist School Iwo. We have been living a symbiotic life. When she was at B.T.T.C Idi Aba l visited her and
helped her with text books needed for passing her Grade II Exams. I always wrote her to encourage her in
her studies.
Since we got married and started having children and by the nature of my work (a Surveyor) she kept the
Fort when I was away for months. She supported me tooth and thick.
We prayed together and God was/ is merciful to us in unimaginable ways to the extent that I, a boy who
carried all he had in his mother's portmanteau to Lagos on the 12th December 1953, came back to Igede in
2007 with a wife, 4 children and 12 grandchildren. Also 3 10tons trailers and 2 cars brought our loads. To
