Warm Up

1. Starting with two laps around the perimeter of the room,
to get the circulation of blood flow throughout the body.

Game 3: Shake the Bones

Instructions : Objective: Trap the other players

Instructions : Objective: Throw hula hoops into players

3. One player will stand on the other

opposite side and face their team on
the other side of the court.
4. Standing six feet from each other, the
hula hoops will be thrown to aim at
the other people adjacent to them.

Game 5: Rob the Haunted House

Instructions : Objective: Dribble the balls and steal from other
people’s “houses”
1. In the middle of the court, place around ten basketballs. Equipment: Basketballs and Hula Hoops
Key skills : Dribbling and Running
2. In each four corners of the court place a different colored hula Space: Whole court
hoop. Time Required : Unlimited

3. One member of the team will run to the center of the court and
retrieve the basketball and dribble back to their house (hula hoop).
Continue until all basketball are “captured” .

4. Once all balls have been removed from the center, “rob the
haunted house” and steal the other teams balls. When time is up, the
winner is declared by who has the most balls left.

Game 6: Spiderville

Instructions :

1. Choose two kids to be spiders (taggers) and mark out a small

area to to be the spider-hospital.

2. Kids attempt to avoid getting tagged (bit) by the spiders.

3. When bit, one hand will serve as a band-aid so the kids has to

cover their spot where they were tagged.

4. After you have been tagged twice and use both band-aids Objective: Not to get caught by the spiders
(your hands) they must go to the spider webb( coned off

section) and do a challenge to get out. Equipment: cones
5. Challenges consist of 10 exercises to be chosen by a coach,

for example, ten jumping jacks. Key skills : communication
6. After the challenge has been completed, they may return

back to the game

Game 7: Gap 20

Instructions : Objective: Pass the soccer ball through the cones without

Game 8: Spooky Says

Instructions : Objective: Listen closely to the leader and follow
instructions

“spooky” which is the leader of the game. Equipment: none

can only be executed if spooky says”spooky says Space: half court
(action).

Time Required : five minutes

Game 9: Rise Mummy Rise

Instructions : Objective: Do not get caught by the
mummy
1. Out of the class choose two players to be a Equipment: None
mummy. Key skills : decision making
Space: half court
2. The rest of the class will link up and stay linked Time Required : a few minutes
up throughout the whole game.

3. When the coach says, “Mummies rise” the two
mummies will stalk and attempt to catch the
other players before time is called. Whoever is
tagged by a mummy becomes a mummy.

Game 10: Tic Tac Toe

Instructions : Objective: make three in a row before the
other team
Place the hula hoops 3x3 in a box formation.

Divide the class into two teams. Each team will have one Equipment: bean bags and six hula hoops
color or bean bags. Key skills : team work and team building
Space: half court
Each team will run to the board and toss their bean bag Time Required : unlimited
into a hula hoop, with a goal to make it three in a row.

After each bean bag is thrown, the player runs back and
tags their teammate to repeat the process.

A winner is declared when a team makes three in a row.

Game 11: Drag the Bodies

Instructions : Objective:

Divide the class into two teams to pull the rope. Equipment: rope

Game 12: Chicken Toss

Instructions :

Place a bucket about 5 ft. from the player. After each time they throw the chicken and it lands into the bucket, the bucket is placed back
about two feet until the bucket reaches half court. The first person to half court wins. But of the chicken is missed, the player/ team has to
start over .

Objective: Throw the rubber chicken into the bucket

Equipment: Rubber chicken and a bucket
