Line Up! Girls Side!

Hello Southwoods! Lauren Hohman
It’s that Pme again… CAMP TIME! The best Pme of year for those of us geing to make the move up
to Southwoods soon. Time to find my crazy hats, tutus, neon socks, unicorn onesie and get packing. In Girls
order to help you gear up for camp and make the most of SPECIAL EVENTS, TRIBAL, and ELECTIVES Head Counselor
this summer, I have provided the following “Top 5” list:

Top 5 Ways to Make the Most of the Southwoods Program
1. Start thinking about what acPviPes you want to try for the first Pme. We have all kinds of fun

elecPves at camp! You can choose from woodworking, videography, soccer, theater, lego building,
golf, waterfront… the list goes on and on!
2. Begin warming up your voice for Tribal War. To do this, I recommend running around the house
yelling, “1, 2, 3, 4… WE WANT TRIBAL WAR!” as loudly as you can.
3. PracPce your sweet dance moves. There’s no tellin’ when a Southwoods Dance Party will break
out! Wait unPl you see Johnny’s newest move - he’s been working on it all winter.
4. Be prepared for anything - we LOVE surprises. You never know what exciPng events will make up
our Special Event Days this year… or how Tribal will break! Ah - the suspense is killing me!
5. Great ready to experience the BEST 4 weeks of your life! Come to camp ready to try new things
and have a ridiculous amount of fun.

Summer cannot get here soon enough! See ya soon, Southwoods!

Line up! Boys Side!

Johnny Reinke Here in New York, the sun is shining bright and the birds have begun their yearly chorus
rouPne! Which can only mean one thing; CAMP is right around the corner! We are geing ready
Boys to pack up the winter office and head north to begin final preparaPons for
Head Counselor what will be the best summer of our lives!

As School and extracurricular acPviPes are beginning to wind down, I would like to share
some advice that was given to me by my eighth grade track coach that sPll resonates with me
today -- Finish Strong! Life is a race and you must remember the importance of each leg of the
relay. The Anchor may be the one who crosses the finish line, but it takes the whole team to
complete the race.

How will you Finish Strong this school year? Take an extra thirty minutes to review the
words for your vocabulary quiz. Stay ader class to ask your teacher about something you may not
have understood that will be on the final. Work on your throwing and catching with your baseball
coach ader pracPce. Work hard these next few weeks to conPnue to put yourself in a posiPon to
Finish strong! All of us at Southwoods know how hard you have worked this past year on every
one of your individual endeavors and cannot wait to hear all of your accomplishments, no maker
big or small. In Order to bask in the glory of everything you have worked so hard to accomplish
always remember to “Finish Strong.” We get to run every leg of every race in every moment of
our lives. Do your best, give it your all, and stand tall when you cross the finish line! Un0l Next
Time, Keep Dreaming Big!
