Trekking in Nepal



Nepal is considered as the paradise for Trekkers. As Nepal has the potential to make the travelers lost in its
st
natural beauty which still seems unexplored in tis 21 century, due to the geographical difference, flora
and fauna, lifestyle of People, Great Himalayas and the hospitality of the local people.

Who doesn’t want to see land ploughed by ox, People living with their cultural dresses on, Working in the

field with sickle and Hoe on the lap of Great Mountains, Meeting people with happy faces throughout the
trail saying greetings (Namaste) with two palms joined together. A traveler never remain as a tourist for

Beside the locals on the trail you will find difference in vegetation in every average altitude change of

500m. Nepal rises from as low as 59 m (194 ft) elevation in the tropical Terai, beyond the perpetual snow

line to some 90 peaks over 7,000 m (22,966 ft) including Earth's highest 8,848 m (29,029 ft) Mt.

Everest or Sagarmatha.
In Nepal Trekking is categorized into two [Camping and Tea House]. Tea house Trekking provides you with

the facilities of hotel, lodges and menus for meals etc. Tea house Trekking is more easier and comfortable

as we don’t need to worry much about the cook and kitchen stuff. Beside that, Camping in Nepal is also
equally famous. In camping Trek our destination will be almost fix at certain place where we will camp and

set up our things for convenient, We will have meals at Camp at spent night in the Tent. Camping Trekking

requires more number of staff and it is comparatively more expensive than Tea house Trek

Everest Region Trekking



Everest Region is the most popular Destination for travelers across the globe. Everest Region provides

stunning view of Himalayas including Mt. Everest 8848m, Lhotse, Amadalam and many more. This region

is also know as home place of Sherpa People and surely one of the tranquil and breathtaking location. This
region and can provide you luxury trek with quality accommodation and quality foods. You will experience

adventurous domestic flight to Lukla along with Mountain flights, Helicopter ride depending upon clients

choice.
Tea House Trekking is more famous in this region as there are availability of many Hotels in every camp

where we stay. In the lower Everest Region you will not find much proper hotels for accommodation so

Camping Trek is recommended.

In the lower forested zone, birch, juniper, blue pines, firs, bamboo and rhododendron grow. Above this
zone all vegetation are found to be dwarf or shrubs. As the altitude increases, plant life is restricted to

lichens and mosses. Plants cease to grow at about 5,750 m (18,690 ft), because this is the permanent

snow line in the Himalayas.
Some of the endangered animals that are found in this park are musk deer, wild yak, red panda, snow

leopard and Himalayan black bear. Besides, many other animals such as Himalayan thars, deer, langur

monkeys, hares, mountain foxes, martens, and Himalayan wolves are found in the park. However, their

numbers are not very large so you need to be that lucky traveler to spot on the way.

Annapurna Region Trekking



Annapurna Region is known as one of the most interesting trail and gives one of the longest trekking trail

of the world (Annapurna Circuit Trek). You will witness amazing view of Mt. Annapurna(I-IV),

Machhapuchre, Dhaulagiri and many more. This region reflects lifestyle of Nepali People. This Region can

be completed without taking any domestic flights. Due to facility of roadways your itinerary can be shorten
be taking a Drive as an optional route.

This Region also have good facilities of Hotels for accommodation so Tea House Trek will be the easy

decision. In this Region you will be introduced to mostly Gurung and Thakali People. A typical Nepali food
(Dhal Bath ) can be the best menu for food item .

Annapurna conservation has more than 101 species of mammal and 474 species of Birds. Some of the

most endangered animal residing here are Musk Deer, Red Panda and Snow Leopard. You might encounter

This Region provides perfect trail Trek to family groups which are shorter like as Ghorepani Poonhill Trek.

shorter, and near to the city- Pokhara. Mostly on your trek to this region your trail will start by drive to
Besisahar and ends at Pokhara. As you return you will have good time to explore Pokhara with Boating at

Mustang Region Trekking



Mustang is an ancient forbidden kingdom, bordered by the Tibetan Plateau and sheltered by some of

world's tallest peaks, including 8000-meter tall Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. Mustang Region lies to the

North of Pokhara. These Region lies behind the Big hills and Mountains which blocks all the upgoing winds

clouds and hence made this region as a Desert and Pokhara the most rain happening place in Nepal. Most
parts of Upper Mustang lies in the rain-shadow area, so you can trek to this place in monsoon season too.

And, you do not have to worry about rain and slippery trails.

Mustang Region is one of the restricted area of Nepal and known as desert of Nepal. This region will
provide amazing view of Desert with Himalaya on top. This region has preserved Tibetan culture,

tradition, art and architecture that dates back centuries. This region is mostly influenced by Tibetan

culture. Mustang Region can take more than 20 Days if you make a complete Trek without any vehicle, but

due to presence of transportation ways and services this region trek can be finished within 2-3 weeks.
You will be introduced to mostly Gurung People.

Some of the most famous places to visit are, Muktinath Temple -This temple is also called “Chumig

Gyatsa”. This place is a symbol of religious symbiosis between both Hindu and Buddhist. People believe
that who take bath in waterspouts and pond increase salvation. People travel all the way from Jomsom to

Muktinath for trekking as well as spiritual cleansing, Thubchen Gompa(Monastery), Chhairo Gompa, Lo

Langtang Region Trekking



Lagtang Region is one of the closest location giving breathtaking view of Great Himalaya. You will

experience narrow mountain valleys. This region offers wilderness experience ethnic villages, oldest

monasteries, small peaks and glaciers at very low altitude. This region gives sight to more flora and fauna.

The Major attraction destination in Langtang Region are Langtang, Gosaikunda Lake, Helambhu, Panch
Pokhari and Tamang Heritage. These Trek take from a week to 17 Days.

This region is also famous for sacred places of both Buddhist and Hindu People. he Langtang region is

covered with pine, spruce and juniper forests and the habitat for the red panda, different kinds of deer
and many species of birds. This region contains some of the oldest Monasteries such as Kyangin Gompa.

You can also enjoy natural hotspring at Shyapru Besi which is one of the Famous town of this region.

The trails in this Region are not very tough and are not of much high altitude so you will not have to worry

much about altitude sickness. Proper and new Hotels, quality foods are available for your daily
accommodation.

Langtang's expansive high meadows provide summer habitat for numerous ungulate species such as musk

deer and Himalayan tahr. The park is also well known for its populations of red panda, Himalayan black
bear, snow leopard, wild dog, ghoral, serow and more than 250 species of birds.

Manaslu Region Trekking



Manalsu is a name of the mountain, which are the eight highest mountains in the world with the height of

8,156m. This region provides authentic Nepali culture and hospitality. It is one of the region untouched by

modernization and commercialization. Manaslu region is another restricted region of Nepal. A typical

lifestyle influenced by Buddhism can be experienced.
The trekking trail follows an ancient salt-trading route along the Budhi Gandaki river. En route, 10 peaks

over 6,500 metres (21,300 ft) are visible, including a few over 7,000 metres (23,000 ft). The highest point

reached along the trek route is the Larkya La at an elevation of 5,235 metres (17,175 ft). he area is
bordered by River Budhi Gandaki and to the west River Marshyangdi. This area is marked by two cultural

highlights: Gorkha, which is the ancestral seat of the reigning Shah dynasty and the temple of

Manakamana. Since the treks in the Manaslu region originate at around 1000 meters and reach as high as

5200 meters, the trekker will see a wide range of flora typical of the middle hills and alpine regions of
Nepal. Plants to be seen around here are pine, rhododendron, wildlife include barking deer, pika and

Himalayan marmots. Birds to be sighted in the region are pheasant, raven and chough. People of Tibetan

origin inhabit several villages. Other groups found here are Gurung and Tamang. The best time to trek here
is between September and May. A few teahouses are seen in the Manaslu Conservation Area; however,

teahouse trekking is not a suggested option.

Dolpa Region Trekking



Dolpa Region is one of the less explored region of West Nepal. It is the largest district of Nepal, and yet

one of the most sparsely populated. This region has villages located at highest altitude on earth with are

almost above 3500m. This region offers you ancient villages, high passes, Beautiful Lakes and isolated

Buddhist Monasteries. It contains the deepest lake of Nepal, Lake Phoksundo, which also happens to be
the deepest lake of high altitude in the world. Dolpa is one of the few Nepali districts that is behind the

Himalayan mountains, due to which it gets very little rain. Hence, most of the hills are bare with little

vegetation. Harsh weather combined with high hills makes this area one of the most inhospitable in Nepal,
and yet the barren and majestic hills lend it a rare beauty that is absolutely mesmerizing.




Some of the attractions of this route are: Dho Tarap, a human settlement at the highest altitude in the

world, Shey Gumba, religiously the most important Gumba in Nepal, and lake Phoksundo, the deepest lake
of high altitude in the world. The months of March to September are good for embarking on this trek.

After September, it starts snowing heavily, and trekking is possible only with heavy duty equipment. From

November it is completely impassable. The best time is from March to May, as it may rain in June and July
This Region is also the home of Caterpilar Fungus (Yarsa Gumba). Proper Camping Trek is recommended to

Trek in this Region.

Climbing in Nepal



As we all know Nepal is the home of great Himalayas. Nepal has been the destination of every climber.

Nepal being the country of Young mountains it contains world highest mountain Mt. Everest-8848m and

including it, Nepal has got Eight highest mountain out of Ten in the world. Climbing in Nepal has been

normally divided into two categories. They are Trekking Peak Climbing and Expedition.



Expedition are referred to the climb which takes extreme climbing which have an elevation above <6500m

with more than a week climb after the climb from the base camp. You will required very skilled team,
advanced technology for communication and more camping necessities and climbing gears with more

time. Expedition are more expensive then any other activities in Nepal. Some of the famous expedition in

Nepal are: Mt. Everest-8848m, Cho Oyu-8201m, Makalu-8463m, Annapurna- I & II etc.



Trekking Peak Climbing is one of the most chosen activities by normal Climbers and many Trekkers too.

Peak Climbing is referred to climb which are normally below an elevation of 6500m. This Climbing will

have both Trekking and Climbing in short period. Advanced technology, High Climbing gears and Camping
necessities are not mandatory. You will not need very high climbing skills as you can normally climb with 1-

2 days of training if you are properly acclimatized to the altitude. Some of the famous Peak climbing in

Nepal are Island Peak-6160m, Mera Peak-6476m, Hiunchuli-6441m ad some other.
