Seorang staf boleh diarah menanggung tugas jawatan lain apabila dikehendaki demi kepentingan perkhidmatan. Pemangkuan kurang dari enam (6) bulan adalah tidak dibenarkan kecuali bagi jawatan yang tidak boleh ditanggung kerja. Staf yang mendapat kelulusan memangku atau menanggung kerja layak dibayar elaun penanggungan kerja. Elaun penanggungan dibayar kepada staf yang dilantik menjalankan tugas dan tanggungjawab sesuatu jawatan yang sama, lebih tinggi atau lebih rendah tarafnya disamping menjalankan tugas-tugas sendiri. PEMANGKUAN DAN PENANGGUNGAN KERJA PEGAWAIYANG LAYAK MENANGGUNG KERJA Telah disahkan dalam perkhidmatan. Sekiranya tiada, pegawai yang telah berkhidmat sekurang-kurangnya satu (1) tahun boleh diperakukan. Keutamaan, staf yang layak dari segi pengalaman, kelayakan, kemahiran, kepakaran dan prestasi yang baik.
