CLUB PRESIDENT
BRAD KAHLEY

I would like to start this letter to all of you, with a heartfelt thank you for allowing me to be a
part of the Town & Country leadership team.
I am humbled and honored to have been able to work with our Board and our Management
team to continue building the strategic process that will allow us to continually improve our
member experience at T&C.
This year we have focused on building a process that will allow us to make wise and prudent
improvements to our campus. It began with executing strong financial controls that
allowed us to significantly strengthen the business financials.  We will end this year
completing the final building block of the process by engaging a design firm to help us draft
a path to constructive building improvements.  The process will culminate in a master plan
for our entire campus.
As we begin another year, rest assured we will be communicating the progress and asking
for your input.  Throughout this year, many of you have graciously donated your time and
expertise serving on the Club’s committees.  Please accept my sincere thank you for your
efforts. There is still work to be done and room for more volunteers!

From my family to yours, I hope you have enjoyed Town & Country as much as we have this
year and we wish you a Happy and Safe Holiday Season!

See you at the Club!

Brad

GREEN COMMITTEE

NANSESILIFD,ABVROISC, KMNATETLSWOINN,KPEELT,EMRIKAETDHOMLAANNN,EBRIL,LAHNIDCKMEAYR, MKOSENXICTAON

Dear Members,

The end to the golf season is always abrupt and painful, but the Green Committee would like to take the time to
acknowledge the wonderful year we had on the Golf Course.

This past spring saw tough golf course conditions for many clubs here in the Twin Cities, but thanks to
Superintendent Bill Larson, and his talented and hardworking team, the Golf Course opened on time and with 18
permanent greens.  Other clubs were not so lucky, either opening late, with temporary greens, or later shutting
down altogether to regrass entire courses and remove trees impacting turf quality.  Once open, we experienced
one of the wettest golf seasons on record.  Despite these harsh weather conditions, the 2019 golf season saw
20,797 rounds of golf—believed to be the most in the history of the Golf Course.  Yet, as I think most of you will
agree, the Golf Course was in great shape all season.  All of this is a testament to the knowledge and experience
of Bill and his team.

Many exciting improvements were completed around the Golf Course this past season, including:

reshaping behind the 11th green;
opening of the expanded 9th green and reshaped greenside bunker;
restoration of the historic “horseshoe” bunker at the 3rd green; and
reconstruction of the tee complex on the 4th hole.
These improvements were all completed in-house by Bill and his team. The Golf Course also hosted a full slate of
outside events and the overwhelmingly successful Minnesota Women’s State Amateur Championship.  Despite
the record-breaking number of rounds and outside events, the Golf Course never closed for regular play. Kudos to
Bill and his team for this success, and a sincere thank you to the Members for their patience while improvements
were being undertaken.

As we look to 2020, we are excited to build upon such a positive year. We will continue to strive towards delivering
you, the Members, a truly unique and exceptional golf experience.

The Green Committee would again like to thank Bill Larson and his team for the wonderful year they had in 2019.
The consistently positive comments made by Members and their Guests throughout the year confirm that the
golf experience at our club is excellent.

Sincerely,

Neil Davis, Matt Winkel, Mike Dolan, Bill Hickey, Monica Nassif, Brock Nelson, Pete Rathmanner, and Mark Sexton
