Brecon Choir Holiday 2018

Brecon Choir Holiday 2018

St Peter’s Church Choir, Bexhill-on-Sea

Choir Holiday

13 to 19 August 2018

Brecon Cathedral
Eglwys Gadeiriol Aberhonddu

Useful information

Welcome

I hope you have a wonderful week visiting and singing in this beautiful cathedral.

Please help us to all enjoy the visit by leaving your mobiles switched off and out of sight
during rehearsals and services.

Please return your music to the piles at the end of the service. You are welcome to hold
onto the Neary responses, which we will use most days.

Do support any newer members by discreetly helping them to find and put their music in
order, if necessary. There will be a seating plan and I have placed the less experienced
choristers next to a more experienced ‘buddy’.

You are welcome to bring water into the Song School, but please do not bring it into the
cathedral’s choir stalls.

Thank you in advance for arriving at all meeting points and rehearsals a few minutes
early; it will help us to enjoy ourselves if we are able to make the most of the time.

Do listen carefully to any instructions. This will help keep you safe when taking part in
activities and share in the spirit of the week.

You are responsible for taking your cassock and surplice from the school to the cathedral.
It’s looking wet next week, so please bring something to keep these and yourself dry (a
large bag/suit carrier and a waterproof). It’s 10 minutes’ walk to the cathedral each day.

If you are given an access code to our building it is important that you do not share this
with anyone outside our group.

Junior choir members should not leave Orchard House without accompanying adults.

If you have any problems during the week, then please do tell Anthony, Janine or Ruth.

BRECON

Please be aware that there will be another group sharing the school
with us, although we have Orchard House to ourselves.
This means that we will need to be quiet and considerate to other
residents.
Do check that the minibus is tidy after trips. We will have black
bags for any litter … or take it away with you.

Awards

On Saturday evening, we will be presenting small prizes for
choristers for their performances, singing and behaviour during the

A prize will also be awarded for the tidiest chorister bedroom, as a
