He said the demand for ZiG will be so dire that even owners of fuel service stations shall be looking for it. Dr Mushayavanhu was speaking at the ZNCC organised Monetary Policy Statement and Structured Currency review breakfast meeting held at a local hotel in Masvingo recently. He advised companies that are not accepting the ZiG currency that a time will come when they will need the local currency to settle their tax obligations. “There has been talk that if ZiG cannot buy fuel, a passport and so forth then why should people want to have it? That step was taken in an effort to increase demand for ZiG because one problem that we identified before we came up with a Monetary Policy statement was that there was no demand for ZiG whatsoever. “What that is going to do is that come June there is going to be a huge demand for ZiG,” he said. He said there is US$90 million worth of ZiG in circulation and the amount is less than US$150 million worth of ZiG which will be required for the 50% of QPD. “I am saying this to forewarn people that you may be the owner of a fuel garage in Masvingo and only sell your fuel in US$, its fine but you are also going to pay tax in June, where are you going to get the ZiG? You are better off selling some fuel in ZiG so that come June you have ZiG in place,” he said. The current environment is that transactions are done 80% in US$ and 20% in ZiG. Dr Mushayavanhu said he will ensure that the gold backed currency remains stable through monitoring the amount of ZiG in circulation against the amount of reserves. “We are starting with 2,5 tonnes of gold worth US$185 million, we also have US$100 million in our bank account versus US$90 million plus or minus worth of ZiG currency in circulation. We are more than 3 times covered and that should be a good start. We have learnt from the past that any further increase in amount of ZiG in circulation has got to be met by the increase of reserves. “The President has directed that any royalties paid by mining companies will be paid in kind to the Central Bank and used to build up reserves for the Central Bank and this is how we built the 2, 5 tonnes. When we buy foreign currency from exporters, who are required to surrender 25% of it in exchange for ZiG, half of the money is sold back into the market and the other half, is split into two, 50 % goes to Government to meet Government’s commitments in foreign exchange and the other 50% is used to build reserves of the Central Bank. Over time we will be building reserves,” said Dr Mushayavanhu. He added that they are going to make sure that every year, the reserves in the form of gold, US$ balances are audited and the results will be made public. “On a daily basis, we are monitoring the movement in amount of money in circulation. We have introduced the governor’s daily dash board, where every day at 4pm I get an update on the amount of money in circulation, reserves and exchange rate and if anything is moving in the wrong direction, we quickly act so that it’s corrected,” he added. He said as the currency maintains its stability, banks will start to offer mortgages and medium term financing. From page 1 into millions of US$. “Please note that the Law Society of Zimbabwe early this year made an application for Ms Doreen Vundla-Phulu’s deregistration before the Legal Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal. The application was granted and she has since been deregistered,” said Chidza in a statement to The Mirror. Vundhla who is married to Phulu who was appointed Senator by Tshabangu after the latter recalled the legitimately elected senators was a principal partner in Vundhla Phulu and Partners. She was engaged by clients for conveyancing and legal repfresentation. Various clients complained to the Law Society that Phulu through forgery, misuse of money, negligence, misrepresentations and unauthorised discounts and payments in RTGS prejudiced clients. Phulu did not bank money received from clients, did not keep proper accounting records and in one case would sell a client’s house to buyers resulting in a prejudice to the other. Nyoni confirmed the development to The Mirror and the changes are with effect from Monday. “Yes it’s true that I have stepped down and this is with effect from yesterday. “My decision is personal. I have resumed duties as director of finance,” he said. Nyoni breathed fire recently after Midlands Provincial Affairs Minister, Owen Ncube blasted the local authority for failing to provide service delivery. Ncube ordered the local authority to put its house in order and stick to its service delivery mandate rather than fighting. Nyoni ‘s resignation from the post comes at a time when Government rejected Gokwe Town Council’s 2024 budget. The local authority was given up to 30 April, 2024 to submit a revised budget proposal supported by documents and road maps to address the issues raised by the Minister. In November last year, former Acting Town Secretary Alexander Nyandoro was sent on forced leave before he was suspended. Nyandoro held the position on an acting capacity since 2020 following the sacking of former Town Secretary Melania Mandeya. Mandeya was suspended over criminal abuse of office charges. The price in each tariff band increases as the cumulative number of units to be purchased increases. HOW DOES THE PREPAID STEPPED TARRIFF WORK? The tariff structure is divided into 6 bands as follows: 0-50 kWh costing US$0.08/kWh 51-100 kWh costing US$0.09/kWh 101-200 kWh costing US$0.16/kWh 201-300 kWh costing US$0.23/kWh 301-400 kWh costing US$0.25/kWh Above 401 kWh costing US$0.26/kWh NB: Costs are exclusive of 6% REA Levy. If you pay for 50kWh, you will be charged at $0.08/kWh, and if you purchase 200kWh, 50kWh will be charged at $0.08/kWh (band 1) and 50 kWh will be charged at $0.09/kWh (band 2) and the remaining 100 kWh will be charged at US$0.16/kWh. The total cost will be the addition of the cost calculated for each tariff band. Any additional purchases in the calendar month will be charged in the succeeding bands. The more you purchase in the same calendar month, the higher you spend on electricity purchase. To manage electricity costs, clients are encouraged to use electricity efficiently in order to stay in the low-cost bands. At the end of each calendar month, the tariff will reset to the first band. The first bands on lower tariffs are available any day of the calendar month as long as that meter has not purchased any token in that month and not necessarily on the first day of the month. The Mirror: Ihwai nekuhwikwa Page 6 17 - 23 May 2024 www.masvingomirror.com CHIBHORANI TALK WITH SEKURU TAURAI Pachirungu vanoti, tit for tat or an eye for an eye. Ndiko kudzosera chakaipa nechakaipa. If you slap me I will also slap you and will not rest until I do slap you. Here in Chibhoraniland pachiKaranga tinoti, tsvaru akadana tivu, which means we actually go further than an eye for an eye. Here if you lightly slap me I will actually respond by giving you an upper cut blow that can send you tumbling to the ground minus a few teeth. All this can be said to be justifiable and the public will actually encourage or advise the complainant to revenge and if she or he doesn’t she or he will suffer public scorn and ridicule. This is the essence of revenge, ndiko kutsiva. Human beings encourage revenge, but Jesus the preacher of love and forgiveness told his followers to forgive not just seven times, but seventy seven times which literally means never ever revenge. He goes further to say that it is better to love your enemies more than those who love you already for there is no credit in loving them. For him if someone steals your shirt give him your jacket as well and if you are slapped on the cheek give the other cheek so the slapper can slap you again. Well, this one takes some character but for him that is the way to go. There is this South African musician who said in one of his songs that an eye for an eye leaves the world blind, which is actually true. A bomb for a bomb, which is a weapon of mass destruction, will eventually lead to the total destruction of the planet. Is that what we really want? Small examples! See what is happening between Israel and Hamas. Instead of them as neighbours living peacefully as hama nehama they are busy playing tit for tat or rather tsvaru akadana tivu, causing so much suffering being injury, death, hunger, homelessness including a lot of infrastructure destruction. Hamas slapped Israel on the face and killed over a thousand Israelites, ndiko kuti tsvaru. Israel responded ndokubva yati tivu with a heavy blow and its heavy blow has left over 35000 people dead and still counting. Check out the death and destruction that is happening in Ukraine leaving people injured, dead and homeless. Is that really necessary? Of course in life we will make each other angry. But in that anger let us learn to forgive and refrain from revenge. Revenge even over trivial reasons has left and is leaving many in Chibhoraniland divorced, estranged, injured and dead. Vanhu kwavo tauriranai zvipere nokuwirirana. Kutsiva kunoda waitirwa zvakanaka uchitsiva nokuitira zvakanaka uyo akuitira zvakanaka. Tikadai tingagara murugare. Ndiko kutaura kwaSekuru Taurai. Tit for tat Chibhorani Talk With Sekuru Taurai The Church of Christ schools saga that finally saw the church being recognised by the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education as the actual responsible authority after the schools had been allegedly grabbed by a group of individuals serves as another case that helps to put Zimbabwe on the list of the most corrupt countries in the world. This group has been running the schools since 2016 but the situation has since been reversed. However the situation still poses a number of critical questions that need to be answered. It is important here to get a clear picture of how the finances and assets of the schools were managed. Were financial audits periodically carried out, if so are they available for scrutiny? How did the tender procedure look like? How were school resources and staff issues handled? Was there any noticeable governance structure? To whom did the said group report? From the commends of Maxwell Mukotami, the newly appointed Secretary of Education for the 29 schools under the Church of Christ, it would seem that all was not well with the schools as standards and welfare had plummeted. Efforts by the Church of Christ to appoint a new Education Secretary and set up its main education office in Chiredzi and satellite offices in some provinces are commendable. However there is need to expose whatever has been happening to the schools under the leadership of this group. This therefore calls for the setting up of a commission of enquiry and a forensic audit in order to reveal any financial and management malpractices that may have happened. If any crimes were committed the perpetrators should be brought to book and any misappropriated school assets returned. There will be need for a transparent school management system to support the new Education Secretary. It is hoped that Mukotami will as promised bring back sanity into the schools thus returning them to the glory days of academic and sporting excellence while attracting and retaining skilled staff coupled by the promotion of good asset management. A new chapter for Church of Christ schools

Underground and borehole water around Empress is probably the worst affected. The team blamed the pollution on rampant mining in the district. Zibagwe RDC lead planner, Johnson Mikuku told The Mirror in an interview that water bodies including boreholes in Zhombe are polluted through the deposit of mining affluent into water sources. “We have water bodies that have been polluted including Somalala Dam. The water has turned brown due to pollution, there is a mine depositing it’s affluent direct into the dam and no one seem to have noticed that. “Boreholes have been polluted including those drilled by councils. Two boreholes in Empress at Colombina Business Center are polluted. “We have several private people who drilled boreholes and they are hitting polluted water so Empress area is one of the most affected whose underground water is polluted,” said Mikuku. Meanwhile Rural Investment Development Agency data shows that there is a total of 1063 boreholes in Kwekwe district. Out of these, 692 are functional while 371 are on breakdown. The most common type of boreholes are the bush pump which is labour intensive. Most of the 33 wards indicated that they do have pump minders. However spare parts for the boreholes are in short supply. The master plan consultations also revealed that, villagers are walking long distances to access water. “Borehole breakdowns are increasing the distance travelled to access clean water by 2 to 15km in some wards. As a result, villagers are opting for unclean water sources such as rivers and dams,” said Mikuku. Kwekwe water bodies highly polluted – Masterplan team Johnson Mikuku. PRISCA MANYIWA-MASUKU MIRROR REPORTER KWEKWE – A Zibagwe Ward 7 opposition councilor, Simbarashe Hlabati has dragged a Zanu PF proportional representation councillor to court for collecting US$800 from desperate villagers to pay for transport of maize meant for drought relief. Hlabati accuses proportional representation councillor, Rita Masiyambiri and Social Welfare officers J Govera, Mukondo, Thomas Ncube and Trymore Huni of colluding and refusing to use free transport that the former secured to transport the maize. Hlabati seeks an order to bar the five from taking part in the distribution of welfare in the ward and to refund the villagers the money they paid. He also wants an investigation carried out against the defendants. Drought relief is given to villagers at zero cost because the beneficiaries already have no money including food. The court application was made at Kwekwe Civil Court under case number KkGL 163/24. Hlabati says as the councillor of the area, he secured a truck from a well-wisher to ferry the grain to the ward but the respondents rejected the offer and opted for a hired truck. “On 2 May 2024, Hlabati and Mukozho (the applicants) witnessed the respondents collecting US$800 from beneficiaries of the drought relief programme. “This is an application to interdict the respondents 1 to 6 from unilaterally taking over the process of distribution of grain in the future and also for the honorable court to compel the respondents to refund the money they collected from beneficiaries. “The applicants also seek an order to bar Govera and Mukondo (Social development officers) from presiding over food aid in future and also to order relevant authority in terms of Constitutional mandate to initiate investigations on Social development officers’ job description,” read the court application. Harry told The Mirror in an interview that his team has carried out interviews and they are now 95% through in terms of collecting the necessary data. She said that Zaka, one of the seven districts of Masvingo has immense economic opportunities but these can only be tapped by way of diligent planning and introduction of requisite physical and digital infrastructure. She bemoaned the high rate of murder cases in Ward 1 and said that there will be a call for more Police stations in the masterplan. The same ward is endowed with fruits and processing plants will spur development, she said. More mobile base stations are also required in the district because of poor network in wards 29, 26, 31, 21, 27, 32 and 17. The planning for ward 21 will be centred around gold mine operations in the area and in particular Chiromo Mine which has the potential to go large-scale. The same ward has a higher human-wildlife conflict mostly involving hyenas. Other business opportunities include tourism. Zaka Ward 1 is home to Mapako/Amadzimbabwe ruins while Ward 33 features Mware Mountain, which has a map of Africa, making it a potential tourist attraction. The district has three dams Manjirenji, Bangala, and Siya that are lying idle and have the potential for fish farming and the development of holiday homes for tourism. She also said that there is a need to educate women in the rural set-up as they are not aware of their rights and most likely end up being abused. “Many women in various wards are not aware of their rights, and parents/guardians lack familiarity with child rights. There is a need for a dedicated program to educate women and parents about their rights. “The preservation of traditional culture is compromised by the presence of other religious groups. Merging different religions proves to be complex, especially concerning apostolic churches, which have distinct rituals that challenge traditional African beliefs. Traditional leaders express concerns that these practices contribute to rainfall challenges,” she said. Harry also noted that illegal tuckshops and liquor operations in villages are affecting business centres and their effectiveness. “Established business centres are obstructed by vendors (grocery, clothing, food) who sell at lower prices and evade tax. Street vendors selling cooked food pose health challenges. “Open Mobile People’s Markets are negatively impacting the local business community, leading to reduced sales and tax evasion. They also pose health risks, including the spread of sexually transmitted infections (STIs),” she added. Highlights of the findings • High murder cases • Gold mining • Fruits and fruit processing • Poor mobile network • Mapako/Amadzimbabwe ruins (tourism) • Mware Mountain and the Map of Africa (tourism) • Human animal conflict • Manjirenji, Bangala, and Siya (Fish farming) • Vendors destroying formal business • Mobile markets affecting business Prinsloo Harry.
The Mirror: Ihwai nekuhwikwa About Master plans Page12 17 - 23 May 2024 www.masvingomirror.com MIRROR REPORTER GUTU – Government and local authorities are the biggest obstacles to development in this country, former trade unionist and opposition politician, Matthew Takaona has said. Speaking at a Gutu District Masterplan focus meeting held in the Gutu RDC Boardroom at Mpandawana on Tuesday last week, Takaona told participants that Government and councils are the bottlenecks for development and argued that communities would do better without the two. He said Government and councils dismantled all development structures that existed in rural areas at independence; i.e. women’s clubs, farmers’ associations and replaced them with political party structures. He said that there is no space anymore for the development agenda. Any development project, no matter how small cannot take place without being sanctioned by a councillor or MP and this has snuffed out development, said Takaona. He said people are controlled and have lost the freedom to develop. He argued that communities have capacities to maintain their roads but they are hindered by Government and councils to take up such responsibilities. “The bottleneck for development in Zimbabwe is Government and councils. Those two are the bottlenecks! If you say to people today develop yourselves without Government, you will see a lot of things. “I will give you an example, there is no meeting that takes place in rural areas without being sanctioned by a councillor or Government, even a meeting to discuss simple things like buying dipping chemicals. “There is no meeting that takes place in rural areas that is not politicised. If you go into rural areas, the structures that you see there are political party structures and no developmental structures. At independence all the structures that you found in rural areas were for development, women’s clubs, farmers’ associations etc. “If you see any meeting taking place in the rural areas today, it is either Zanu PF or former CCC. People must be free to meet, share their ideas and do development. “If you ask us in our ward to do development on our own today, we can tell you that we have put together fuel to grade the roads or even hire graders. “But the moment you offer to do the development project, they start questioning your politics. “Let people develop, let people come together and work for development on their own, in their own communities, you will see that there will be a lot of progress,” said Takaona. The Mirror: Ihwai nekuhwikwa Page16 17 - 23 May 2024 www.masvingomirror.com Education News ELLEN MLAMBO MIRROR REPORTER GUTU – Atinos Tonhodzai is the new head at Gutu District’s biggest school by enrolment. Hwiru Primary, located at Mpandawana has an enrolment of 2 040 and 48 teachers, making it by far the largest learning institution in Gutu and one of the biggest in Masvingo Province. Tonhodzai, an accomplished educationist and a man with a track record of building critical networks took charge of Hwiru on May 1, 2023, when enrolment stood at 1 600 and in just one year it shot by 27,5% to 2 040 pupils. He hit the ground running, starting many new key projects at the school. However, like many other school administrators he has mountains to climb and is determined to do just that. Tonhodzai worries about hot sitting at Hwiru and the shortage of space for infants. His key priorities are therefore to build an ECD Center in the shortest possible time and to increase the number of classrooms for Grade 1 to 7. “We get a lot of support from parents, council and the Ministry of Education and I am confident that with such kind of support, our tasks will be very small,” said the simple and soft-spoken school head. He also expressed concern at the high teacher pupil ratio which he again is confident that the Ministry will address. Tonhodzai has an impressive record particularly from Gertnel Primary in Chatsworth, Gutu, the last school he headed for 10 years. He put up a computer lab at the school and sourced a donation of 32 desktops and three printers from World Computers Exchange. The impact of such a project is undoubtedly huge on rural children like those from Gertnel. Tonhodzai introduced music equipment at the same school, particularly a fourpiece set of marimba with the help of Zimbabwe Newspapers. He also built a school library with the support of Aussie books and the project was officially commissioned by the then Australian Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Bronte Moules in 2021. He built a classroom block at Mawere where he was once head. At Hwiru, Tonhodzai has started a fishery project with three ponds carrying 13 000 fish. Pig sties have been built and a few pigs are already at the school to kickstart the project. A broiler chicken project has also been started and the school is looking forward to building a weather station. The weather station project is timely considering that the Meteorological Services Department has mooted a programme to train schools in rain-gauge reading and other weather-related matters. Tonhodzai was born at Chitando Clinic in Gutu and he went to Mukaro Primary School. He attended his secondary school at Highfields High in Harare and joined Andrew Law College between 1982 and 1986. He started his teaching career at Chiguhune Primary School in Chiguhune, Gutu in 1986. He later transferred to Hunduza Primary and was promoted to deputy head at Mukwasi Primary. He became the head at Mawere Primary between 2009 and 2011. He was transferred in the same position to Gertnel in 2012. He is a holder of a Bachelor of Education Degree. He is married to Pricinia and they have four children Douglas, Tatenda, Poteredzai and Sheunesu. The couple is also blessed with three grandchildren. Meet the new head at Gutu’s largest school Atinos Tonhodzai.

Growing up in Dabhadi village in the Yavatmal district of western India’s Maharashtra state, the 42-year-old was so inspired by teachers around him that he wanted to become one himself. He battled poverty, his father’s untimely death and his growing farm losses and turned that aspiration into a reality. He is now among the most well-educated in his village: Sawale obtained a Master of Science and a Diploma in Education, a certificate degree meant for elementary-level school teachers. Yet, he is often the butt of jokes among his friends. The reason? He makes less money than a landless labourer in the village. After working for 13 years in a private school, Sawale makes 7,500 rupees ($90) a month, or 250 rupees ($2.4) a day. In the village, a day’s wage for farm labourers is anywhere between 300 and 400 rupees ($3.7-$4.7). “My friends keep mocking me, saying [that] even uneducated workers at corner shops earn more than I do,” Sawale says. The only consolation for Sawale is that he is not alone. As India elects a new government, jobs have emerged as a key issue. A pre-poll survey by the New Delhibased Lokniti-Centre for the Study of Developing Societies (CSDS) found that rising unemployment was foremost on the minds of voters. There are also many millions of Indians like Sawale who are underemployed and in pitifully low-paying jobs they are overqualified for. Their education, often, counts for little. Instead, like Sawale, they face gnawing questions from friends and family, questions that do not augur well for a country with the world’s largest youth population: If this is what education provides, are young people better off without it? According to the New Delhi-based Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy, India’s unemployment rate stood at 7.6 percent in March 2024. A report, released in March this year, by the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the Institute of Human Development (IHD) revealed that an overwhelming majority of unemployed youth were educated, with at least a secondary education. In 2000, only 35.2 percent of unemployed youth were educated; by 2022, that figure had doubled to 66 percent, the report said. As Sawale reflects on the gulf between his education and income, his friend Ganesh Rathod walks in. Rathod, also from Dabhadi, dropped out of school. A farmer, he doubles up as an agricultural trader, and today, his finances are “stable”. He has recently renovated his house – a sparkling new attraction just off the highway that links to the village. “In the village, those who did not educate themselves are better off because they have been able to keep their ambitions in check and be happy with what they got,” Rathod says. “Now, look at them,” he says, pointing to Sawale. “They are educated but have to toil just like we do.” Private educational institutes like this one, in Yavatmal, advertise a bright future for its students.......Full story on https://www.aljazeera.com SOURCE: AL JAZEERA Two-thirds of India’s unemployed youth are educated — a fraction which has doubled since 2000. As India votes, a question gnaws at its future: If education can’t get you a job, is it even worth it?

Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare Minister July Moyo to whom the solidarity letter is addressed said he was out of office when contacted for a comment. Masvingo Zanu PF youth chairman charged again GARIKAI MAFIRAKUREVA BIKITA – An aide to newly appointed Chief Mkanganwi (born Vengai Chapwanya) has been accused of extorting money from a family that is in a wrangle over the post of a village head. Munyaradzi Warure who is not only an aide but now acts as the chief because Chapwanya is too old is accused of collecting more than US$200 from the Mukarati brothers after promising to settle the feud among members of the Mukarati family over the position of village head of Mukarati Village. It is allegedly almost two years now and nothing has happened. Warure allegedly promised to take the matter to the Chief and the District Development Coordinator, Bernard Hadzirabwi for resolution. Hadzirabwi told The Mirror that the matter was never brought to him and promised to find out from Warure what was going on. Warure refused to comment and told the paper to write whatever it wanted. “You can write whatever you want, I don’t care. If there is any aggrieved party he should report to the police” said Warure before hanging up. “I am going to call Warure and ask his position, but one thing I know for sure, we never discussed anything like that with him,” said Hadzirabwi. Mukarati said Warure who is also the chief’s nephew demanded over US$250 from the family to facilitate the resolution of a family fight over the post of village head. “He initially asked for US$50 for him to deal with the case and US$25 for fuel. When we paid, another aide demanded US$75 claiming Warure did not share with him the first payment. “He then took another US$100 but it’s over a year now since we paid that money. “When we tried to make a follow up he started coming up with flimsy charges against our family members. In the past month two members were dragged before the chief’s court and one of them had to spend the weekend in police cells. All this abuse of power is meant to silence us. I think Zacc should investigate this case,” said Mukarati. Chief Mkanganwi aide accused of extortion Delight Mandebvu. Munyaradzi Warure.

Kudakwashe Chinhara (22) of Chikwanda Village under Chief Chivese in Chipinge is appearing before Shurugwi Magistrate Percy Mukumba. He allegedly duped Isaac Mudzengi (45) of Hwayi Village, Chief Nhema in Shurugwi the money after promising to perform some rituals for him to receive some money from his employer. Mudzengi is a truck driver for South African company N.R Group. He was injured on the job in 2022 and did not receive compensation from the company. He then approached Chinhara to speed up the process. Circumstances are that Mudzengi who was based in South Africa approached Chinhara in April this year and told him that he wanted his employer to pay his compensation that he was promised in 2022. Chinhara ordered him to pay ZAR1 200. He then told that his compensation would be paid in two days’ time when he sent him the money. After two days Mudzengi who was in Zimbabwe received a message informing him that his employer had sent him his compensation money via Mukuru. He went to withdraw the money and was told that his message had been doctored. He then phoned Chinhara who demanded US$70 to put the Mukuru employees under a spell. He complied and sent him the money and again the Mukuru employees told him message was fake. Chinhara again demanded US$110 to perform rituals to remove a goblin that was bringing Mudzengi bad fortune. He demanded a further US$300 and Mudzengi gave him property valued at ZAR3 000. He went on to demand more money to remove spirits that were threatening to kill Mudzengi’s son and that is when Mudzengi reported him to the Police. Only ZAR 200 was recovered. The Mirror: Ihwai nekuhwikwa Page 23 17 - 23 May 2024 www.masvingomirror.com Religious News Ps Trymore The Spirit when we sin ..or go wrong .. Some have argued that the Holy Spirit literally does nothing when we sin .Except to tell us we are righteous, It’s likely they were in a hurry listening to their teacher . That’s the danger of cherry picking or listening to build your sermon or woo others . It has happened with many bible concepts . John 16:8-11 KJV [8] And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: [9] Of sin, because they believe not on me; 10] Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more I Suspect this is one of such subtexts It’s proof texted. The concept discussed was about his resurrection not Christian living . The background suffices . John 16:7 KJV [7] Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. His going away is his death burial and resurrection and its facts . He will convince on this .Some have likewise used James’ submission James 1:5 KJV [5] If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. Upbraids not ,which could also mean to find wrong or fault . This context is persecution and trial of faith . Context is always king . That same word was used for other instances . Matthew 11:20 KJV [20] Then began he to upbraid the cities wherein most of his mighty works were done, because they repented not: For Jesus . Mark 16:14 KJV [14] Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen. For Jesus again . He was said to have upbraided ,contradictions? No . I often teach that words only have its true meaning in sentences used not necessarily dictionaries. Did Jesus find fault ? Obviously he corrected like every teacher should . He definitely told them their wrong ,unbelief .And taught them . This is where mere fault finding differs from correction. In correction ,deed done wrong is pointed out Mark 4:40 KJV [40] And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith? Matthew 17:17 KJV [17] Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me. That’s the spirit speaking .The Spirit of God .Telling them what they did wrong . However the difference is correction teaches what you should do or should have done Like a school class teacher marks your scripts ,then afterwards does a class to show what you should have written where you missed the mark or issues . Luke 24:25 KJV [25] Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken: Fault or wrong action shown Luke 24:27 KJV [27] And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself. Correction . Matthew 17:20 KJV [20] And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. Correction . There can’t be correction without spotting the wrong deed .But it’s mere fault finding without instruction and information of what to do . This is the Spirits work Rebuke ,correction . 2 Timothy 3:16 KJV [16] All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable ......for instruction in righteousness: Instruction here is training a child ,correction, scolding etc Hebrews 12:5,8 KJV [5] And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: [8] But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons. The Spirits work . 2 Timothy 4:2 KJV [2] Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. The Spirits work . Correction ,rebuke . All Epistles carry this flavor . Revelation 3:19 KJV [19] As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. Paul called men fools ,foolish ,fleshly ,sinful .Same as Peter and John and James . That’s the Spirits work ,in the Written Word and definitely in our lives . Some don’t understand the word condemnation and use it without context . They should be taught I advise they visit livingwordmedia, and listen to Condemnation, judgement and judging others .Amongst many others . They will see that the Spirit judges us . Not Guilt and unworthiness Romans 8:1 KJV [1] There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus Yet he corrects and condemns our conduct like Jesus did for us to receive instruction for Growth and edification 2 Corinthians 12:21 KJV [21] And lest, when I come again, my God will humble me among you, and that I shall bewail many which have sinned already, and have not repented of the uncleanness and fornication and lasciviousness which they have committed. This could make us very uncomfortable and remorseful but never unworthy of what he has called us in Christ ,though our deeds could be . He corrects us for our growth 2 Corinthians 13:10 KJV [10] Therefore I write these things being absent, lest being present I should use sharpness, according to the power which the Lord hath given me to edification, and not to destruction. Not destruction If any destruction at all ,it’s the work of the flesh 1 Corinthians 5:5 KJV [5] To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. Satan here means opposition . The spirit will always oppose the flesh Galatians 5:17 KJV [17] For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. Contrary here means opponent . This is the Spirits work So when we Sin..,we see His rebuke and correction all over the Epistles, yet affirming our identity in Christ but not the deeds done in the flesh . Hope this is clear Let me know... [email protected] +263774740407 You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free...

Mahachi also said that their major hurdle is that some play- ers are based at Mashava campus while others are based at the main campus in Masvingo. They only train as a team once a week. “We started on a bad note because we registered about 22 students then realised that they are not Division 1 quality so, we had to find better players from outside. The general overview of our game is that we lack consistency in playing, we are not consistent in training- we don’t have time for training as a team. Some guys train in Mashava and some train in the city. They meet once every Thursday for combination. “We are planning on intensifying our trainings, we want Gaths Mine Stadium electrified if resources permit so that we can utilise it for night training. As I indicated earlier, the bulk of our players are students and they will be busy with lectures and projects during the day. We want them to train together from if Tuesday resources permit,” he said. Meanwhile FC Wangu Mazodze has enjoyed a perfect start to the season having won all its first five encounters. The club is on top of the table with 15 points. D1 giving GZU tough lectures Muvsport shines at Korean Taekwondo tournament
