AKSELOS INTEGRA™
SOLUTIONS
…the digital twin predictive analysis,
1000X faster than any other in the market.
LARGE ASSETS REQUIRE
SCALABLE SOLUTIONS
Assets in the energy industry are large, very large and in most
cases this will require management solutions to solve problems on
a similar scale.
What we are looking at here is an FPSO in full scale and that has
had a Full Spectral Fatigue analysis run in under 10 mins at the
speed required to drive real operational decisions. We’ll come
back to this during the presentation.
DATA IS NOTHING WITHOUT MEANING
DIGITAL TWINS ARE THE
MISSING LINK BETWEEN
DATA & INFORMATION
In recent years we’ve seen the increased monitoring of
critical assets with sensors and the use of data analytics to
monitor condition, however studies suggest that using
sensors & data alone can only improve predictive accuracy
by approx. 30% tops.

TURNING MONTHS OF ENGINEERING WORK
INTO A 48H FULLY VALIDATED DIGITAL THREAD
This is a typical Akselos workflow.
When we have the asset model, loads
and other boundary conditions can be
applied, and the result quantity can be
evaluated over the entire asset. We can
do a full spectral fatigue analysis to
even the largest or most complex asset,
but we can also work in the time
domain, and that’s another strength of
Akselos.
UPSTREAM
Real time operational simulation
Combined with sensors, physics-based models and machine learning, our
technology is the only one of its kind that can offer real-time access to the
condition of your asset through a living, learning virtual replica – a Predictive
Digital Twin.
Predictive analytics
If you can predict it, you can protect it. Simulate fatigue
in real-time and prevent failure by bringing the most
successful design technology to operations.

PROTECTING THE WORLD’S
CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE
CONCLUSION, WHAT’S NEXT?
SCALE, SPEED & PARAMETRICS
Akselos includes many unique attributes, but the main three may be summarized as follows.
Speed and scale - the ability to solve highly detailed holistic models in real time is a price of
entry to have this concept to the simulation model that lives alongside a physical asset to
provide a continuous picture of the asset integrity.
The models need to be parametric in order to reflect how an asset will evolve structurally
through time.
What’s next for operators? Akselos technology has already been applied to FPSOs, TLPs,
Jackets, Jack Ups, Gas Turbines, Wind Assets, to perform monitoring in near real time stress
fields and spectral fatigue, updating inspection & maintenance systems with the latest
condition data, in a collaborative environment.

GLOBAL TRACK RECORD
We have one of the largest track records in autonomous inflow control and spent several
years getting tested/approved in Saudi Aramco and PDO (Shell, Total-JV).
Saudi Aramco: Approved and delivering commercially. To our knowledge we are currently
the only company that has successfully passed their technology testing (TTR) process and
we understand we are the only company delivering commercially autonomous flow control
to Aramco.
TTR Process: Aramco have a very detailed technology trial process PDO (Shell and Total
JV with Oman Government): Approved and delivering commercially. 110 wells RIH globally
for our AICVs The moto of InflowControl is to support operators in ‘Making Better
Wells’ by enabling the wells to produced “more oil, less water, and less gas”.
Motivation: Passive and Autonomous Inflow Control Device
• Horizontal wells to ensure maximum reservoir contact
• Non-uniform well drainage creates gas and/or water
breakthrough due to:
• Friction inside the liner
• Heterogeneous reservoirs (permeability variations and fractures)
Which is causing Passive ICD will
• Non-uniform oil influx along the well make the influx
• High gas oil ratio (GOR) and/or water cut (WC) more uniform and
• Reduced oil production and recovery delay breakthrough
Advantages of AICV® vs. Conventional ICD
1. Significant less gas production (GOR)
2. Significant less water production (WC)
3. Increased oil production and recovery
Background: Passive ICD and 1st Generation Autonomous ICDs
• Horizontal wells drilled ensure maximum reservoir contact
• Non-uniform well drainage creates gas and/or water breakthrough
• ICDs and passive AICDs cannot stop gas or water
– Hz wells ensure reservoir contact, but passive devices do not stop un-wanted phases
– Non-uniform well drainage continues to promote gas and/or water breakthrough
– AICVs can be tailored to produce more water if required (ie: brownfields, SAGD, etc.)
– Manage the un-wanted fluid phases at the reservoir
