Actor Bio:

In late 2009, founded Mendicant Films to Write, Act, Direct and Produce his own material for film. MF's first project is Alexis' original feature
film "Loss Control." The second project is "Malefactons," an adaptation of Hamlet in a modern setting in New England.

Studied with Mary McCann, Karen Kohlhaas, Susan Finch, David Mamet, WH Macy, Kelly Maurer, Steven Hawley, David Bridel, Paul Urcioli,
Craig Bacon, Katie Bull at the Atlantic Theater Company Acting school (1999 - 2001).

Was awarded a Best Actor award by Maggie Flanigan (acting teacher) at the 2006 Nolita Film Festival for Yusif in The Seventh Dog;
Awarded Best Actor at New England Drama Festival for Prospero in The Tempest (1998). Alexis' first film acting experience was as an extra
on the set of Ethan Frome with Liam Neeson, Patricia Arquette and Joan Allen, at the age of 9. From the age of 3 to 13 he performed with
Peter Schumann's "Bread and Puppet Domestic Resurrection Circus" in Glover, VT, where he grew up around music, mask theater,
puppetry, stilt walking, painting, sculpture, and everything else an artist could possibly imagine.

Alexis has lived and breathed his work in New York City since 1999.
