Welcome to the beautiful, historic city of Monroeville, Alabama! We are excited Mr. Coker
to host you as a visitor of Monroe Academy! As we begin the 2020-2021 school
year, our world is experiencing unprecedented times. It is more important than ever
that we come together in support of all students and student athletes. Our goal at
Monroe Academy is to treat each person with respect and to go out of our way to
ensure that you enjoy your time on our campus. The people of Monroe Academy
are truly what make our school special!

Monroe Academy coaches, athletes, parents, and students are expected to set a
shining example when it comes to sportsmanship, character, moral, and ethical
behavior on and off the athletic venue. We also expect our student athletes to be
the leaders of our classroom setting and our coaches to promote academics above
all other activities.

Monroe Academy has a long tradition of championship level programs. These
programs were formed over time with hard work and dedication. It is not by
accident that our students excel. We expect every student that chooses to
participate in athletics to carry on the excellence in training, in completion, and in
the classroom of those Monroe Academy Volunteers who paved the way for our
sports programs. We are so excited to see the hard work pay off for our athletes!

Monroe Academy opened its doors in August of 1970. The school, founded in 1969, was established to
enable students to pursue academic excellence and to develop patriotism in a Christian environment.

The operation of the school is carried out by board members who are elected from throughout the county. We have been fortunate to
have had outstanding leadership from this group of men and women.
