TOMMY SMITHERMAN, PRINCIPAL
Here we are again one year later and I hope we are off to a great start! I cannot stress to you all the
level of dedication we have at Locust Fork High School to provide opportunities to our students. There
are so many hours involved in getting to this moment right now that go unnoticed. I want to say a big
thank you to our coaches, band director, parents and community members for all the support. You all
are truly amazing!
I want to wish our cross country, cheerleaders, football, volleyball, basketball, softball, baseball, golf,
track, and soccer (yes we are trying to put together a soccer team for boys and girls this year) teams
good luck this school year. I hope you have all the success and joy in the world!
The Athletic Booster Club and Emerald Night Band Boosters continue to play a pivotal role in
providing support, energy, and enthusiasm for our athletes, band members, cheerleaders, and coaches.
We thank them, along with the many families and alumni for all they do in our program...we would not
make it without you!
God Bless & Go Hornets!
Tommy Smitherman
Principal/Athletic Director
Dear Locust Fork Hornet Fans,
Welcome to tonight’s game! We are all excited to have football this season and to be
able to come out and support our football team, cheerleaders, and band! Let’s all get
behind them and show our Hornet Pride!
I especially want to thank the administration, coaches, faculty, staff, and booster
clubs for all they do to support our young people and maintain our facilities!
We are so proud of our newly renovated stadium. This is an example of teamwork
between the Board of Education, the
school, the booster clubs, and the
community! It’s amazing what we
can do when we work together and
no one cares who gets the credit!
This year, more than ever, let’s enjoy
the game and enjoy being together
as a community! We are so blessed
to live in Blount County and to have
quality schools like Locust Fork
Elementary and High School! We
have great teachers, coaches, and
support staff that care about our
students! Thank you for your support
of the Locust Fork Schools and the
Blount County School
System! Go Hornets!
Rodney Green
Superintendent of Blount
County Schools
DEAR PARENTS AND SUPPORTERS,
As you know, the 2021 football season is here! As Football Booster Club President, I am very excited about the upcoming year; but
in order to have a successful year, it takes everyone working together to accomplish things.
I am very proud of Locust Fork High School, and I believe in our young people. I also believe our kids deserve the very best. The
Football Booster Club was established to aid our school, along with our coaching staff and administration, in providing our young
boys and girls an opportunity to rise to their greatest potential.
I would like to welcome our new Football Coach Billy Adams! He and his wonderful family will be a tremendous asset to our
football program! I certainly want to encourage everyone to rally around Coach Adams!
If you look around Locust Fork, you will see the Football Booster Club and the Blount County School Board have partnered to
accomplish several improvements in our athletic facilities. This year our big project is to totally revamp our weight room. When
finished Locust Fork High School will have the finest weight room anywhere!!We as the Football Booster Club are committed to
continuing working to improve our Athletic facilities and provide our coaches and players with the absolute best!
With all the problems in the world such as drugs, alcohol and many others, I believe our kids need us to stand behind them more
today than ever before. I encourage you to join the Booster Club and myself in supporting our young people. Let’s all pull together
and let them know we are there for them.
During the football season, the Football Booster Club will meet to discuss our athletic business. I encourage all parents and athletic
supporters to attend these meetings and let’s all join together and make the 2021 year our best year ever. I believe our youth at
Locust Fork are worth our time and efforts. I hope to see you at the ballgames and our booster club meetings.
Remember, your support makes a difference.
GO HORNETS!

good luck this season!
The Locust Fork Football Booster Club would like to thank the members of the community who
support our Athletic Program. We would like to invite all parents and Locust Fork supporters to
join us in making a difference. The Football Booster Club meets every Sunday before our home
football games at 2:30 p.m. in the school library. Come be a part of the good things happening!
Coach Billy Adams
Wife: Stacy Adams I am so thankful to have the opportunity to be the Head
Football Coach at Locust Fork High School. I would like to
Children: Maleah, Jenna, and Emma State University thank my family for their love and support for me to pursue
Education: B.S. Degree- Jacksonville 22 years this opportunity. They have been AMAZING in helping me get
Teaching and Coaching Experience: things going in the direction to help us succeed. The support
and encouragement from so many has been awesome, and I really appreciate it!
The main focus of our Football Program will be hard work and discipline. We will work hard to win every football game, but
winning alone can’t be the way we judge the success of these young men. I truly believe the lessons learned on the football field
will carry over into these young men’s personal lives and make them successful men, fathers, husbands, and professionals.
The coaches and myself will do all we can to push these young men to succeed in all aspects of life, but that alone will not be
enough. It will take us working together to instill these characteristics in our young men, and I look forward to taking that
journey with you.
I am very excited about our coaching staff this year. We have a bunch of hard-working men who want to see your kid succeed,
and that have a love for the school and community. This is obvious, because we have so many former players on our staff.
I am looking forward to this season and the challenges it may bring. I hope to see you at every game supporting our young
men. Thanks and GO HORNETS!!!!!
