EDITORIAL
The new academic session 2022-23 ushered in good tidings.
Coming back physically to school was homecoming for all of us,
as we reunited under one roof after a period of two years, which
had appeared to be longer than in reality.
Our Principal welcomed all the students and expressed immense
pride to see how they overcame the unprecedented crisis and gave
their utmost to keep the mind, body, heart and soul in unison. She
impressed upon the students that the time is ripe to turn a new leaf
and rekindle the spirit of society, redefine our values, show more
care towards one another, be mindful of our thoughts and actions
and become an embodiment of love and kindness. This session, we
are better placed to amalgamate digital learning with physical
classroom teaching, in order to achieve the best learning outcomes.
We all now hope that this session may turn out to be our own
voyage of discovery, an opportunity to discover our own essence
of excellence.
So let’s embrace new skills and prepare ourselves to approach
challenges with determination and resilience. May you all have an
enriching learning experience!
After two long years, the classrooms reverberated with their
voices, the courtyard was lit up with their exuberant faces, the
dance and music rooms vibrated with their tapping feet and
the library, ironically, echoed with giggles and laughter. It was
indeed a day full of memories that will be imprinted in our
minds forever. As it is said that -
‘It is the little conversations that build the relationships and make
an impact on each student’.
- Robert John Meehan

DEBATE GIANTS Loyalty, Truth & Honour
‘It is better to debate a question without settling it than to settle a question without debating it.’
Time spent debating is, oddly enough, almost never wasted. Therefore, our school organized its Annual Inter
School English Debate Competition- ‘IDEOLOGUE’! The Preliminary Round was held on 5 and 6 August
2022. The event received participation from 50 venerated schools all over Delhi. The participants were given
the option to choose from the topics – ‘Agneepath scheme will put the security of the country at peril’ and
‘NFTs are nothing but worthless illusions.’ The eloquence of the participants were judged by Dr. Rajya

Kaur Pabla, Voice & Accent trainer from British Council and Advocate Michael Rao. The event was graced

MUN ‘Education is the premise of progress, in every society, in every family.’ - Kofi Annan.
Our School, organised its second online edition of DOXA YOUTH MUN on 27 and 28 August 2022. Model United
Nations teaches students about the world. In this era of globalization, learning about the world is more important than
ever. No matter what field or profession students enter, they will interact with people from different countries and
diverse backgrounds. Problems taking place halfway around the globe impact our lives, our country and our
communities. Students represent countries other than their own and present possible solutions to global problems in
committees. We proudly hosted over 88 delegates from 24 schools across the globe and pan India. The opening
ceremony saw the meet ‘Declared Open’ with lighting of the ceremonial lamp. Our School Principal, Ms. Inderpreet
Kaur Ahluwalia, extended her heartiest welcome to all the guests and delegates. DOXA YOUTH MUN was

Mr. Soham Ahuja (AIPPM) and Ms. Nandinii Tandon (UNCSW) from all over the country, including the Delhi-NCR
MUN circuit. We simulated a dynamic blend of four committees, both conventional and unconventional, with the
following agendas-

People in Sri Lanka in View of Recent Economic Crisis.
2. United Nations Security Council(UNSC) - Deliberation upon Russia-Ukraine Conflict with Special Emphasis on
De-escalation of the Conflict.
3. All India Political Parties Meet(AIPPM) - Discussion on Increasing Communal Violence in India with Special
Emphasis on Religious Radicalism.
