Sponsored by GSBI, the GVC program provides a unique opportunity to primary and secondary school students from different countries to work with and learn from one another. They collaboratively design a website on a topic of their choice. A panel of judges evaluates the final work and determines the winners. It is a matter of great pride that the Secondary Team of our school won the Grand Award in GVC 2023. The team comprising of 30 students from classes IX and XI worked enthusiastically under the able guidance of their teacher coordinators, Ms. M. Uppal and Ms. A. Bisht. The students of our school worked with the students of Daija Senior High School, Taichung, Taiwan and SLEV Private High School, Istanbul, Turkey to create a website on the theme ‘The Unfiltered Vision; Remove the Disguise’. The website beautifully depicts the efforts to combat global matters such as poverty, gender bias, taboo against disability, intolerance, climate change and cyber bullying. It was a collective effort by the students of all three schools showing their responsibility towards the society to promote an inclusive view of the world. The students and the teacher incharges were felicitated by our Principal Ma’am, Ms. Inderpreet Kaur Ahluwalia. EARTH DAY “The Earth is what we all have in common.” Accountability is a part of humanity, and our actions have an impact on living things. The more knowledge we have, the better choices we make in our actions. That is why Earth Day is celebrated on April 22 every year. The day reminds us that the environment we live in, requires a lot of protection. The day started with the encouraging words of our Principal, Ms. Inderpreet Kaur Ahluwalia, focusing on protecting the environment through various ways. The students together took a sincere pledge to keep the Earth healthy and green for all the living beings. They were shown a documentary on ‘Global Warming’. Students of Class Nursery made adorable ‘Planet Earth’ cut-outs using poster colours and paper plates. Students of KG engaged in making ‘Mother Earth’ headgears by colouring the cut-outs of Earth. The day culminated with ‘Plant a Seed’ activity wherein students planted seeds in pots, thanking Mother Earth for its precious gifts. Students of the Primary Classes enthusiastically participated in numerous activities and celebrated the various gifts bestowed upon us by Mother Earth.
