Management highlights
SHARQ Learning and development is one of the most significant tool that contribute to
President enhance SHARQ employee’s competencies.
Mr. Salah Al- Going from that SHARQ aim to be the best learning and development provider
Ansari along all SABIC affiliates to insure maximizing our employee’s performance and
productivity, which will result to have effective and efficient goals achievement
with highly professional workforce along with excellent learning and
development environment.
SHARQ EVP Now SHARQ eight engineers are participating in the training course in Japan,
which is one of contribution activities of SPDC.

Hitoshi M. This team is a mixture of Process engineer, Mechanical engineers, and
Instrument engineers and so on. The training program covers several
engineering fields including learning Japanese culture and history.
I believe this is an excellent opportunity to enrich knowledge and develop their
talent.
Through the program, they can learn their own specialties and other specialty
fields as well. During the training period, they learn together and enjoy together
and they can create excellent fellow membership of the team by the end of the
training.

Mr. Mohammed S. The fresh engineers are the future of our company and they are the backbone

SEeD Engineers special engagements
- lead a multiple of distinguished achievements efforts in SEeD graduate
maintenance and reliability improvement that saved more than Mr. Ibrahim,

I learned about the history of the relationship between Mohammed
SHARQ and Japan and how SPDC was initially formed. Alqahtani
I learned about market prediction and oil prices and
challenges in petrochemical industry.

JICA vision and contributions around the world and its Ahmed Al-
corporation and strong relationship with Sauadi Arabia. Hudaib
JICA provided overview of the basics of Japanese

CHIYODA - YOKOHAMA Engineer
Awareness session conducted by Chiyoda training coordinator Abdulmuhsin
that includes Chiyoda history, projects, shareholders, Alkhuzayim
activities, industrial programs, business updates, marketing
processes, technologies, and the relationship with Saudi
Arabia. It was very intersting and effective session.

It was a good chance for us to ask questions and to get
into contact with key people. Later in the week we
discussed process design and got to build a mock up
plant. It was a very good chance where we had to get a
real life experience about plant design.

CHIYODA greeted, and welcomed us to process engineering Abdulrahman
training, they introduced us to all trainers and instructors that Atarji
will teach us in the program. All materials and content were
very beneficial for an effective information and experience
exchange.

On job training highlights
W&CI implemented valuable ideas and suggestions considering continues improvement
focus in developing professional Engineers from SABIC KAUST that result in more
collaboration and cooperation between SABIC and SHARQ in terms of learning and
development programs.

JQP and SHEM highlights
On January 28.2016, Mr. Khalid Al-Dalgan W&CI Sr. Manager celebrated some of the
Learning & Development achievements covered achieving 80% of Designing “SHEM Online
" courses and JQP Tracking & Ratio Systems.
Professional training JQP automatic system will be used for the
following features:

all approvals, which was the longest
obstacle through approval process.
2. Simplify data entry and retrieval
them upon request any time.

English program highlights
As initiative from WC&I & new English Language improvement & sustainability Team and
for the 1st time in SHARQ English Public Speech session has been conducted on Monday
7th of March. 2016 with cooperation of the English language training provider "European
Center" which won the admiration and approbation of most of the audiences who exceed
150 participants from deferent levels of the organization.

IDP highlights
As initiative from WC&I learning and development team applied an improvement actions
to the IDP for all SHARQ employees. One of the most valuable improvement action is to
automate the IDP process by creating new database system, which handle all SHARQ IDP
process on computerized base. By doing that SHARQ will decrease the percentage of paper
use and will process all SHARQ employees IDP by using one tool that will add more value
for monitoring and tracking along with reporting all SHARQ employees IDP processes.

Mr. Waleed Al-Essa, Mr. Nawaf Al-Harbi and Mr. Abdullateef Al-Subai
are the main system developers and representatives for the new IDP
automation process.

Induction Program highlights
WC&I induction program is designed for all SHARQ new joined employees to deliver
general information about SHARQ as well as SABIC policy and regulations.
SHARQ induction program is the base guideline for all new hair
employees and it is the professional way to acclimate me to the work
environment in short period. One of the best things I like in this
program is our meeting with the top management.

Induction program provide the advantage for all new joined employees
to easily interact with SHARQ culture and atmosphere. So far we have
delivered several induction sessions for many employees such as
(Engineers, Operators, Technicians, etc..).
