‘Learn to give as a volunteer is a real profit of your life because you will get more
than what you give’

Honorable and respected judges, teachers, friends, ladies and gentlemen,
May I have your attention, please. For those of you who don’t know me.
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Sutiwat Wongpaet, Now I’m in the
second year of Diploma in Accounting, on behalf of Chiangkham Technical
College. It’s an honor to be here! Today’s presentation focus on a Vocational
student’s Roles toward Volunteer Activities. I’d like to get started, If I may.

In my personal opinion, Volunteer activities of vocational students, is a
great way to meet new people, learn new skills and gain valuable experience,
they are also good and meaningful since they have a good chances for students
to have experiences, to develop both professional, competence and performance
through learning activities in college which make students proficient, confident,
proud, and concern more on self-value. All of these corresponds with vocational
learning in Thailand 4.0 that is new generation to work and give more for our
community.

Volunteering is simple, Chiangkham Technical College has a vision on the
importance of volunteering activity. In order to create or build students’
characteristics, according to their morality and ethics specified by the college rules
In addition, How to act when you are a volunteer? For me, No matter your age,
the relationships you build through volunteering can impact your profession and
future. With this in mind. Our college has done many important volunteering
activities project such as ‘Fix It Center Project’ to react or respond to urgent
Government policy in order to expand the roles of Fix It Center in the community.
Vocational Education Institute to help giving advice and knowledge to the people
in the community, so they could learn how to use, take care, and develop skills
of community technician to be able to fix or repair tools, utilities used in their
careers and household. In addition, this is to build a network between college
and community, to transfer knowledge, develop, and to create the value and
standard for community products.

Now, before I’ll start the next step, Does anyone know a Vocational
student’s roles toward volunteer activities? If nobody, I will enumerate you the
rules of volunteering, so these rules are meant to be followed as general

guidelines to ensure you are creating a positive effect and having a successful
volunteering experience. Let me explain 3 Do’s and 3 Don’ts to all of you

First : Respect the privacy of those people you work with.
Second : Have endurance during difficult situations
Third : Have an optimistic, open mind and attitude, when working

under pressure circumstances
Forth : Don’t expect help on people or be intrusive
Fifth : Don’t show disdain or negative attitude while volunteering
Sixth : Don’t be hesitate of sharing constructive feedback to your

organization in a professional, thoughtful manner
Finally, we can say that the volunteering activities of vocational education
student are meaningful, to get involved and develop technical skills and
educational insights not only learnt in the classroom but outside as well. The
volunteering activities are like the tools to create good and effective students who
are going to be good manpower that proceed with both knowledge and ability.
Last but not the least, I want to leave you with this, ‘Learn to give as a volunteer
is a real profit of life because you will get more than what you give.’
