Weekly Roundup: From Rising Star to Handcuffed Defendant Recap & analysis of the week in
state government & politics By Ryan Dailey GOING ‘ALL-OUT’ ON ABORTION? With the US
Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade & FL days away from a 15-week abortion limit taking
effect, DeSantis is already eyeing further restrictions on abortion access. The governor, who
signed the law in April, issued a statement praising the Supreme Court ruling in a Mississippi
case, saying the “prayers of millions have been answered.” “FL will continue to defend its
recently-enacted pro-life reforms against state court challenges, will work to expand pro-life
protections, & will stand for life by promoting adoption, foster care & child welfare,” DeSantis
said. While Republicans celebrated the ruling, abortion-rights advocates quickly announced they
would hold rallies in opposition. They blasted the ruling as an attack on reproductive rights.
“With FL Republicans cruelly proving their appetite for robbing women & girls victimized by the horrific trauma of rape, incest,
& human trafficking of their right to an abortion after 15 weeks — period, end of sentence, no exceptions — it is clearly only a
matter of time before our state also debates an all-out abortion ban,” Book said in a prepared statement.

---- Recap & analysis of the week in state government & politics By Dara Kam Jul 15, 2022 ©2022 The News Service of
Florida. All rights reserved; see terms. TALLAHASSEE --- The statue of Bethune, portrayed in a mortarboard cap & tassel &
carrying a black rose, replaced a likeness of a former Confederate general that had represented FL in the Capitol’s National
Statuary Hall for nearly a century. Bethune became the first Black person honored by a state in the hall. The black rose in
Bethune’s left hand “symbolizes her belief that ‘loving thy neighbor’ means interracial, inter-religious & international
brotherhood,” Black legislative leaders for years pushed to have former Confederate Gen Edmund Kirby Smith’s statue
removed from the hall, where each state gets 2 reps.

But it wasn’t until 2016 that state lawmakers voted to replace the Civil War general’s likeness. It took another 2 yrs of at-times
acrimonious & impassioned debate for lawmakers to settle on his successor. Political partisanship & division over issues
about racism in the country’s past have exploded since the effort to put the civil-rights leader in the hall. Wed’s unveiling
ceremony of the 11’ statue came as FL educators confront major changes in how they can talk about history with children.
The Legislature approved a law --- dubbed by Gov DeSantis as the “Stop WOKE” Act --- that restricts the way race-related
concepts can be taught in classrooms & workplace training. The law prohibits instruction that would cause students to “feel
guilt, anguish or other forms of psychological distress because of actions, in which the person played no part, committed in
the past by other members of the same race, color, national origin or sex.” The law is the subject of 2 legal challenges.

GROWTH AIN’T GOOD ---- Pointing to “almost incomprehensible growth,” the president & CEO of Citizens Property Ins said
this week the state-backed insurer could have 1.2 million customers by the end of the year. Citizens, which was created as
an insurer of last resort, has received a flood of policies during the past 2 years as private insurers have shed customers &
sought hefty rate increases because of financial troubles. Citizens had 937,835 policies as of last week, up from 883,333 at
the end of May. As longer-term illustrations of the growth, Citizens had 638,263 policies on June 30, 2021, & 474,630 policies
on June 30, 2020, according to data on its website. Gilway said a “reasonable” forecast is that Citizens could grow to 1.55
million policies in 2023.

GUN NUT ACTION REPORT-- The gun & ammo tax bill, formerly Assembly Bill 1223, which failed to meet deadlines earlier
this year, was gutted & amended into Assembly Bill 1227. Committees will hear AB 1227 & other anti-gun bills this week.
----------Assembly Bill 1769 prohibits officers, employees, operators, lessees, or licensees of the 31st District Agricultural
Asso from entering into any agreement to allow for the sale of any firearm, firearm parts, or ammunition on property or
buildings that comprise the Ventura Cnty Fair & Event Center or properties in Ventura Cnty & the City of Ventura that are
owned, leased, operated, or occupied by the District. ----Assembly Bill 2156 reduces the nu of firearms a private citizen
can manufacture in a year from 50 to no more than 3. In addition, it prohibits private citizens from using 3D printing to make
firearms, precursor parts, or magazines. -----Assembly Bill 1594 creates a private right of action against firearm industry
members for failure to implement "reasonable" controls. This intentionally vague term can subject the industry to crippling
lawsuits regardless of whether there is any actual violation of law. ------Assembly Bill 2571 bans advertising or marketing
firearms or ammunition in a way that is “attractive to minors,” replacing the language in current law banning specifically
“advertis[ing] to minors.” ------------------Senate Bill 1327 creates a private right of action that allows individuals to file civil
suits against anyone who manufactures, distributes, transports, sells, or imports firearms banned in California, as well as
precursor firearm parts. -----Assembly Bill 1227 was gutted & amended to contain language from Assembly Bill 1223. It
places an excise tax of 10% on the sales price of a handgun, & places an 11% excise tax on the sales price of all long guns,
rifles, firearm precursor parts & ammunition. These taxes are to be collected from CA retailers & placed in a newly created
fund for appropriation by the state legislature. Yours in Freedom, Ken Lan Communications Coordinator NRA-ILA

-------- NEWS FROM THE MOTORCYCLE RIDERS FOUNDATION--
Consumer Education on Ethanol H.R. 7731 Call-To-Action --In May, President
Biden announced the EPA would temporarily lift the summer restrictions on the sale of gasoline with 15% ethanol (E15).
H.R. 7731 requires more detailed labeling of gas pumps that dispense E15 fuel. Clearer labeling of E15 at the pump will warn
consumers about the harmful impacts of mis-fueling so consumers can better protect their engines. Unfortunately, most
consumers are not aware that these fuel blends may be causing damage to their vehicle. A recent survey found 3 in 5
consumers mistakenly believe that E15 is safe for use in all their products. Motorcycles, boats, pre-2001 model year vehicles,
& outdoor power equipment are especially at risk to E15 blends.

CRIME RISES AS TRAFFIC LAWS NOT ENFORCED-- LA & some major cities have stopped enforcing some traffic laws,
like broken tail lights or expired stickers, all in the name of racial equity, but critics have said letting people get away with
breaking the law will only lead to more crime, & the current crime wave may prove them right. Philadelphia became the first
city to ban police officers from pulling over drivers for minor traffic violations like expired tags & broken lenses, but now the
Philadelphia FOP (Fraternal Order of Police) is suing to invalidate the new city law, saying it illegally preempts existing state
laws on traffic violations. LA, Minneapolis & the entire state of VA have passed similar prohibitions on low level traffic stops,
which they claim disproportionately targets Black drivers. --Bill Bish NCOM Legislative News

BIKERNET GUN NUT REPORT--115 years ago, in 1907...our great
grandparents were first able to buy the rifle pictured. The semi-auto
Winchester Model 1907. This is a gun they could buy from a Sears catalogue
& have delivered via US Post. It was/is a semi-automatic, high powered
centerfire rifle, with detachable, high capacity magazine. About 400,000 semi-
automatic rifles were produced before WW2. Civilians had hundreds of
thousands of these for 40 years, while US soldiers were still being issued old
fashioned bolt action rifles. The 1907 fired just as fast as an AR15 or AK47 &
the bullet (.351 Winchester) was actually larger than those fired by the more
modern looking weapons. The ONLY functional difference between the 1907 & a controversial & much feared AR15 is the
modern black plastic stock. The semi auto, so-called "assault rifle" is 115 years old. It isn't new in any way. The semi auto
rifle was not a weapon of war. The government MADE IT a weapon of war 40 years after civilians had them. The semi-auto
can be safely owned by civilians. The proof is that literally 3 generations of adults owned & used them responsibly & no one
ever even noticed. Want to fix the horror of mass shootings? Fix the things that have changed for the worse in the last 50
years - Family Values, Prayer from Schools, Ten Commandments from Court Houses, Spanking Kids, Morals, What is
socially acceptable, Confusion on Genders, Left Wing Liberalism, Socialism, ect. - because the rifle technology in question
was here long before this insanity. GOD SAVE THE USA.

--- GUN NUT ALERT--The US Senate is voting on a gun control package this week – your US Senators need to hear from
you, tell them you oppose this gun control package. Take Action Now! The gun control package would allow states to use
federal taxpayer dollars to implement state-level gun confiscation orders, i.e. “red flag” laws. This gun control package would
significantly increase the nu of Americans who are federally barred from possessing firearms by expanding prohibitions for
non-domestic, non-violent misdemeanor convictions. Virtually no other constitutional right is taken away for misdemeanor
convictions & this legislation would treat the Second Amendment as a second-class right. Nowhere in the legislation are the
2 Amendment rights of law-abiding Americans advanced, & it is being rushed to the U.S. Senate floor for votes, bypassing
nd
hearings, markups & amendments on the legislation. Please contact your U.S. Senators TODAY & respectfully urge them to
protect & defend the 2 Amendment by voting against this misguided gun control package. You can also call your U.S.

---- CALIFORNIA GUN NUT REPORT-- California bill would make gun owners buy liability insurance
SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Calif would be the first state to require gun owners to buy liability ins to cover the negligent or
accidental use of their firearms, if lawmakers approve a measure announced Thurs. “Guns kill more people than cars. Yet
gun owners are not required to carry liability ins like car owners must,” Democratic state Sen Skinner said. She said the costs
of gun violence shouldn't be borne by taxpayers, survivors, families, employers & communities: "It’s time for gun owners to
shoulder their fair share.” The state of NY is considering a similar requirement in the wake of numerous recent mass
shootings & a rise in gun violence. In Jan, the Silicon Valley city of San Jose approved what’s believed to be the first such
ins requirement in the US. No ins company will cover the misuse of a firearm, predicted Sam Paredes, executive director of
Gun Owners of California. He said such requirements are an illegal infringement on gun owners' constitutional rights. “We
don’t believe you can put precursors on the exercising of a constitutional right. By requiring somebody to get ins in order to
exercise their right to keep & bear arms, that ceases to make it a right.” Skinner is amending an existing bill on another topic
to allow gun owners to be held civilly liable if their firearms are used to cause property damage, injury or death. The bill
would also require gun owners to have ins that covers loses or damages from the negligent or accidental use of their firearm.
& they would have to keep proof of insurance with their firearm & show it to police if they are stopped for some reason.
The bill would impose an excise tax equal to 10% of the sales price of a handgun & 11% of the sales price of a long gun,
ammunition or parts to build firearms. Democratic Assemblyman Levine estimated his bill would bring in more than $118
million annually that would go toward gun violence prevention programs. Because it would impose a tax, Levine's bill would
require approval by two-thirds majorities in the Legislature. His similar measure last year fell 4 votes short of the 54 it needed
in the 80-member Assembly. The bills are among numerous firearms measures being considered by Calif lawmakers this
year, including one that would make it easier to sue gun-makers & another that would allow private citizens to sue those who
traffic in illegal weapons. --Steve Bauman Tech Editor Bikernet.com™

12. Evolution is not a legitimate theory. Reps reject the theory of evolution & believe in creationism, the idea that God
created man the way he is. They believe creationism should be taught in public schools. 13. America should deport
illegal immigrants. Illegal immigrants, no matter the reason they are in this country, should be forcibly removed from the
US. Although illegal immigrants are often motivated to come to the US by companies who hire them, Reps generally believe
that the focus of the law should be on the illegal immigrants & not on the corporations that hire them. 14. Poverty must
solve itself. Poor people are usually poor for a reason, be it laziness, choice or whatever. Unless we demand that people
pull themselves up by the bootstraps & solve their own problems, people will not be motivated to do things. Therefore, the
issue of poverty cannot be solved by the government. Charity should be the choice of individuals. 15. Capital punishment is
good. Reps believe in the death penalty. 16. The 2020 Election Was Stolen This is among the more ridiculous things
that Republicans believe - or have come to believe, recently. Many believe there was serious fraud in the 2020 election.
There is not a shred of evidence to support fraud in the 2020 election. Cases brought to court have been laughed out.

https://www.britannica.com/topic/Democratic-Party The Democratic Party is generally
associated with more progressive policies. It supports social & economic equality, favoring
greater government intervention in the economy but opposing government involvement in the
private noneconomic affairs of citizens. Democrats advocate for the civil rights of minorities,
& they support a safety net for individuals, backing various social welfare programs,
including Medicaid & food stamps. To fund these programs & other initiatives, Democrats
often endorse a progressive tax. In addition, Democrats notably support environmental
protection programs, gun control, less-strict immigration laws, & worker rights.

The Democratic Party has changed significantly during its more than two centuries of existence. During the 19th century
the party supported or tolerated slavery, & it opposed civil rights reforms after the American Civil War in order to retain
the support of Southern voters. By the mid-20th century it had undergone a dramatic ideological realignment &
reinvented itself as a party supporting organized labor, the civil rights of minorities, & progressive reform. Since
Pres. Franklin D. Roosevelt’s New Deal of the 1930s, the party has also tended to favor greater government intervention
in the economy & to oppose government intervention in the private noneconomic affairs of citizens. The logo of the
Democratic Party, the donkey, was popularized by cartoonist Thomas Nast in the 1870s; though widely used, it has
never been officially adopted by the party. (I couldn’t find much on the Democratic Party)

------- HELLS ANGELS FOUNDER DIES-- Ralph "Sonny"
Barger, one of the founding members who helped grow &
popularize the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club, passed away
last week at the age of 83. A representative for Barger, who
revealed the news, indicated the cause as liver cancer.
Barger & riding partners created the Oakland, California-
based club in 1957—unaware of other groups throughout the
states with the same or similar names. Though accounts
differ, Barger is generally credited with leading the effort to
consolidate & nationalize the brand. Notorious for forays into
criminal activity, federal officials classify the group as one of
the "Big Four" groups involved in organized crime, along with
the Outlaws, Bandidos, & Pagan's.

Barger himself was investigated or arrested on charges ranging from drug trafficking to
murder, though he later helped repopularize the subculture as an actor on the show "Sons of Anarchy."

ICE DEATH WARRANT--The 29th of June 2022 marked the beginning of the
end for the internal combustion engine. Environment ministers from the 27
countries of the EU have agreed to sign the ICE’s death warrant. The ban refers to sales of new cars & vans powered by
gasoline & diesel engines, although you can bet that they will add motorcycles when they remember that such things existIt
took more than 16 hours of negotiation to reach an agreement at the meeting in Luxembourg, but the result is crystal clear.
“The Council… agreed to introduce a 100% CO2 emissions reduction target by 2035 for new cars & vans.” The European
Parliament also wants to outlaw sales of used ICE-powered vehicles, but that has not been decided on.

Not that the idea is dead; further negotiations will take place, but the new vehicle sales ban is now written in stone. Given the
size of the European vehicle market, the ban on ICEs there means their eventual disappearance in all developed countries.
The ramifications will go way beyond the borders of the European Union since it won’t be feasible for the likes of Volkswagen
or BMW to develop ICE cars they won’t be able to sell in the EU. Internal combustion engined vehicles may, & probably will,
continue to be manufactured & sold in developing countries after 2035 but even so, the end is inevitable. Technically
speaking, the 2035 ban calls for a complete reduction of emissions, without mentioning the combustion engine. This leaves
the door open for ICEs running on alternative fuels such as the synthetic fuel being developed by Porsche, but it is interesting
to note that most of the research & proposed manufacturing for that will take place away from the First World. & good luck
affording a tank full of the synthetic stuff. Advrider.com --from Geno Undercover investigator

Dutch Farmers mass protest with
tractors against regulations that will
reduce farms & food

Dutch farmers – who sit as the
second-largest agricultural exporter in
the world & largest meat exporter in
Europe – have brought the
Netherlands to a standstill, protesting
against Climate Change regulations.

The newly elected government has
set up a 55-60 per cent emissions
goal by 2030, 70 per cent by 2035, &
80 per cent at 2040. To meet these
arbitrary climate targets, they have
created a self-inflicted disaster that
will see the government drag its
agricultural sector up the temple
stairs, tear it to bits, & let whatever
bloody stumps are left to tumble down
the steps for the pleasure of the
United Nations climate gods.

Farms which have been feeding the world for hundreds of years are going to be
unceremoniously shut & their owners ruined because a couple of bureaucrats decided they
didn’t like the nitrogen & ammonia emissions produced by growing food. --Climate Depot
