Your support and involvement provides the LungAssociation with the opportunity to connect with Iowans who are impacted by lung disease and provide them with educational resources, fund critical research and advocate on behalf of all Iowans. As the nation's leading organization fighting for healthy lungs and healthy air, the American Lung Association’s mission combines medical research with patient resources, educational programs, and public health advocacy. BeLUNG to Something Bigger with the Lung Health Cohort Research Study The American Lung Association’s Lung Health Cohort is the first-ever study that will help us learn how lung function changes over time in young, healthy adults (aged 25-35). As part of a $24.8M National Institutes of Health grant, this study is seeking participants across the country – including at the University of Iowa – to discover the evolution of lung disease. Participation could help uncover why lung disease develops, so we can ultimately stop it in its tracks.
