SYNOPSIS

Marina Island located on the coast of Muroh Bay near Teluk Batik is a man-made island. The
man-made island, named Marina Island, is vast and able to accommodate the above –
mentioned building with a total area of 316.9 acres. A 400 meter long bridge is the only
road connecting Marina Island with mainland Muruh Bay. There is a second jetty facility
that offers service to bring people to Pangkor Island. It is a strategic location built opposite
Pangkor Island and Pangkor Laut resort. It has a diversity of marine life such as blue eyed
fish, shrimp and squid. Here, traveller need a sea-based tourism center with suitable moss
product such as luxury ships, mrine and jetty to attract visitors to the marine life. “Tourism
Center” means a visitor center or centre, visitor information center, tourist information
center, is a physical location that provides tourist information to visitors. This Tourism
Center idea was introduced to be one of the new innovation research and development
center for Architecture people, locally and internationally. Marina Island is an artificial
island that was built right on the sea. Inside this center , it will provide the latest research
about the marine and maritime that relate in Malaysia as to solve the issue with
emphasizing energy & sufficiency by applying the demonstration using the latest technology
to the visitors. A range of activities such as exhibitions and galleries to inform tourism about
sea and create recreation areas for families. Besides, using a wave concept, this marina
tourism center is designed with futuristic illustrating as if it were in the sea by using modern
technology inside the building.

OBJECTIVE

1. To build a sea-based tourism center and apply a futuristic design to attract people in
building design through activities and galleries in the museum.

2. Introduces to the latest sustainable materials inside the Maritime Tourism Center.
3. To create a tourism center that provides healthy interaction opportunities for tourists

SYNOPSIS

Marina Island Lumut located on the coast of Muruh Bay near Teluk Batik is actually a man-

was developed by Marina Sanctuary Resort Sdn. Bhd. The 400-meter bridge is the only road

island and what is interesting is that it is also the first in Malaysia. Strategic location is

that a tourism area activate the area by requiring a sea-based tourism center to provide or

modern technologies such as vr and simulation space.

infrastructure and the connecting bridge to the mainland had to be build. Now the first

phase has finished and the first buildings, shop lots, Marina Island Hall, some

apartments and the Jetty Complex are mostly finished it's time to have a look around.

Reclaimed from the sea on the coast of Teluk Muroh in Perak, Malaysia, Marina Island

Pangkor is also known as the gateway to Pangkor Island and Pangkor Laut. It is a

SYNOPSIS

Lumut known as the tourist area in the state of Perak. Lumut is also the main
door to the island of origin. various areas or activities around the Lumut. among them are
jetty, area for sailing, which is based on the sea. Previously, Lumut was known as Tanah
Merah. The highest percentage of religions in Lumut is Islam. It’s dramatically decrease for
Buddha and the lowest percentage is other religions. Business activity are the main activity
here in Lumut. The main commercial activities in Lumut are sea products, running food
business and souvenirs.

Proposal for building a seafront concept building to further enhance Malaysia's eco-tourism
located on Marina Island Lumut Perak. The building to be erected is a Tourist Center
building. This is an alternative to attracting tourists from outside or within the country to a
quiet Marina Island Area when it is not a school holiday. Buildings will be based on the
concept of a coconut tree trunk that leads to the futuristic level that will have an impact on
the building as well as the layout within the site based on the proposed concept.

Marina Island is only man-made island in Malaysia. Reclaimed from the sea on

has the facilities of the second jetty which offers service to bring people to
Pangkor Island. It takes only 10-15 minutes to the island compared to 40 mins
via Lumut jetty. It is a reclaimed island of 316.9 acres, connected to mainland
by a 400 meter causeway bridge. Best Western Hotel is quite popular among
foreigners. Proposal for design of this center, “Marina Maritime center” idea
was introduced to be one of the new innovation research and development
center for Architecture people, locally and internationally. This center exhibits
the history of marine’s ship in Malaysia in ancient times.

on it. In 2003, Marina Island was developed by the Marina Island Group of companies and
began operation in 2010, with private investment of RM250 million by 2013. The integrated
mixed development resort island consists of waterfront residential properties, a new jetty
(Marina Island Jetty), a private commercial marina called Pangkor Marina Malaysia, service
apartments, hotels and shop offices. The jetty has a ferry service which connects to the
island. The purpose for Marina Island is to attract tourist local and foreign to increase
economic of country. Proposal a seafront concept building to further enhance Malaysia's

Maritime Tourist Center building. Tourist Center are primarily responsible for promoting

SYNOPSIS

Marina Island was located at Teluk Muroh, Lumut near Teluk Batik and near to the
Pangkor Island. Marina Island is the first man-made island in Malaysia. The marina island
area is 316.9 acres, it can accommodate various types of buildings. Purpose of the island's
construction is to create a tourist attraction island in Perak. The lack of the island itself is a
shortage of building constructions that can attract tourists from abroad or local and it also
to replace the attraction of tourist from Teluk Muroh. It is because from time to time the
Telok Muroh which was originally one of the tourist attractions has been forgotten, so
Marina Maritime Tourist Centre was provide to build in that island. Marina Maritime Tourist
Centre to introduce to tourists about history of Lumut and tell aquatic in the place itself.
Besides, the Marina Maritime Tourist Centre also provides various marine concept activities
to let tourist fell experience aquatic activities, such as kayak, seafood food truck, and
maritime art style. Kayak was provide for tourist to let them explore the sea around the
Marina Island. Moreover, maritime art let childhood and teenager get the experience of
maritime art. Next, seafood food truck to let tourist surrounding gather at the food truck
and fell the fresh seafood.

OBJECTIVE

Government to introduce Lumut as a marine-based Eco-Tourism center. The objective is to
instill love and be grateful for the beauty of life in the ocean. The building on Marina Island
will be the main center in Malaysia for research purposes, exhibitions and a more in-depth
reference to marine life. In addition, it can also indirectly attract tourists from both
Malaysian and foreign tourists.

In addition, visitors who are indirectly can learn about the way marine life works and

Tourism is travel for pleasure or business; also the theory and practice of touring, the
business of attracting, accommodating, and entertaining tourists, and the business of
operating tours. Tourism may be international, or within the traveller's country. The World
Tourism Organization defines tourism more generally, in terms which go "beyond the
common perception of tourism as being limited to holiday activity only", as people
"traveling to and staying in places outside their usual environment for not more than one
consecutive year for leisure and not less than 24 hours, business and other purposes".

Tourism can be domestic or international, and international tourism has both incoming and

"Malaysia's Visit by 2020" is a concept hub for places of interest that can be visited. The

center (incubator) is built to provide activity and development information for people who

want to know or know more about the nearby island area as well as the history of the area.

Various activities are available for visitors who are present as foreign tourists, local tourists

or locals. From the year's vision of visiting Malaysia by 2020, this incubator uses 3D

animations / digital animation animations to provide visitors with more accurate visual

information. At the same time, visitors will be able to discover the latest transformation

technologies that create good technological innovation. In addition, this incubator not only

has a display area that can attract visitors to come, it also uses the i-Cloud system by

sharing information for people without using paper again (supporting Go Green's view). The

incubator is also friendly to the next child with their family, it has an area for children doing

family activities or playing in areas such as artificial beaches or other activities provided by

tertiary management to the program. Having a wide range of technologically renovated

facilities for visitor convenience is expected to help those who wish to investigate more

facility that offers service to bring people to Pangkor Island. It’s a strategic location built
opposite pangkor island and pangkor laut resort. Here, traveller need a sea-based tourism
centre with suitable moss product such as luxury ships, marine and jetty to attract visitors
to the marine life. “Tourism Centre” means a tour information centre, tourist information
centre, is a physical location that provides tourist information to visitors. Marina Island is an
artificial island that was built right on the sea. Inside this centre, it will provide the latest
research about the marine and maritime that relate in Malaysia as to solve the issue with
emphasizing energy & sufficiency by applying the demonstration using the latest technology

The highest percentage of religions in Lumut is Islam. It’s dramatically decrease for Buddha
and the lowest percentage is other religions. Business activity are the main activity here in
Lumut. The main commercial activities in Lumut are sea products, running food business
and souvenirs.

In addition, visitors who are indirectly can learn about the way marine life works and

for buildings to promote sustainability in the building environment and raise awareness

Marina Island Lumut located on the coast of Muruh Bay near Teluk Batik is actually a

man-made island. The man-made island named Marina Island is vast and able to

accommodate the above mentioned buildings with a total area of 316.9 acres of Teluk

Muroh coastal area was developed by Marina Sanctuary Resort Sdn Bhd. The 400-metre

bridge is the only road connecting Marina Island with the mainland on Muruh Bay. Marina

Island is a man-made island and what is interesting is that it is also the first in Malaysia.

Strategic location is constructed opposite Pangkor Island and Pangkor Laut Resort. At

Marina Island there is also a second jetty facility that offers a service to bustle people to

Pangkor Island. It is suggested that a tourism area activate the area by requiring a sea-based

tourism centre to provide or sea-based knowledge. By developing the Maritime Tourism

Centre, exhibits or galleries provide maritime knowledge to tourist and local people.

Additionally, using futuristic depicts as in the sea by using modern technologies such as vr
