Dear Realtists,
It is with great pleasure that I extend warm greetings from the NAREB
family to the Ohio Realtist Association’s leadership and members on
your 69th Annual ORA State Conference.
Since our founding 72 years ago, the National Association of Real Es-
tate Brokers (NAREB) has understood and has valued the power of our
state/local boards. Realtists and our state/local leadership represent
NAREB’s primary strength. Dedicated Realtists in Ohio and across the
country work daily to make homeownership possible for Black Americans.
I know that a Realtist’s commitment to and belief in Democracy in Housing supports and
focuses a commitment to build legacy wealth through homeownership for Black Ameri-
cans. ORA members exemplify that purpose for which we are all thankful and most appre-
ciative. ORA members offer hope and a pathway to Black Americans seeking to build a
stronger, more financially secure future through homeownership.
I congratulate the new leadership team [2019-2020] and have every expectation that your
strategies and seasoned approaches work to increase Black homeownership throughout
Ohio. Your work carries meaning. For 69 years, ORA’s successes have meaning that re-
shaped lives.
In the Realtist spirit,
Jeffrey Hicks
President
National Association of Real Estate Brokers, Inc.

Greeting Realtists,
On behalf of the National Office, it is an honor for me to extend to
you a warm greeting! Congratulations on your 69th Annual Ohio
Realtist State Conference. Many members have spent an enormous
amount of time planning this event to ensure all of your conference
expectations are met. Please take advantage of the information
presented to you in these two days.
President Hicks’ and his leadership board threw down the gauntlet to us with their vision
of having two million new Black Homeowners in five years. This can happen when all of
us work together and visualize the dream of Black Homeownership. NAREB family, we can
accomplish this through education, motivation, dedication and inspiration. We can and
will rebuild wealth through Black Homeownership one homeowner at a time. You are truly
your community greatest asset today and in the future. We cannot achieve our mission to
ensure affordable and sustainable homeownership without your participation.
As the Executive Director of NAREB, I want to personally give you a heartfelt Thank You
for being members of the NAREB Family. This is a new and exciting time for our us. Our
goal collectively should be to grow, encourage, and uplift others to foster the legacy of
democracy in housing in this country for generations to come.
Respectfully,
Executive Director
