Tutorial Notes - Cycle Graph Editor

Pre Post Infinity To visualize the extrapolated curves Graph Editor > View Infinity By default, the curves before the first key and the last key will be flat (no change in value over time). To change the behaviour of the extrapolated curves, you set the pre and post infinity controls to anything other than constant. Constant is the default.

Cycle ● Repeats the animation curve as a copy infinitely. ● After the last key frame ended, it will jump to the first key. ● To create seamless repetition, first and last key need to be similar. ● Tools that usually used to create a looping character animation. Cycle with Offset ● Repeats the animation curve infinitely, except it remains the position of the last key’s value. Oscillate ● Repeats the animation curve by reversing its values. ● Creates an alternating backwards and forwards effect ● Same like “boomerang” Linear ● Extrapolates the value of the first and last key using its tangent information. ● It projects a linear curve infinitely beyond. Constant ● Maintains the value of the first and end keys. ● This is the default setting.
