Rebecca Romero
There are countless interesting facets of the Rebecca Romero
human experience that connect us, but the one Resume
that continuously holds my interest is interaction.
The spaces we occupy affect us on emotional,
psychological, and physical scales and have a
serious impact on our daily lives. Interior design
gives us the tools we need to provide the optimal
surroundings possible for ourselves and future
generations.
While I am interested accessible, sustainable
design for all I gravitate towards its influence on
people in need. Studies have shown the positive
significance interior design has on those
navigating through life on the autistic spectrum,
and I believe through additional research and
development we can create environments where
everyone can learn, work and grow to become
their best selves.

Photoshop In addition to my personal
Contemporary Loft project, I
also developed my Photoshop Rebecca Romero
skills outside the classroom. Photoshop
While the Interior Design
program at the University of
North Texas is illuminating
and inclusive, I felt my
Photoshop skills were lacking.
Over the course of several
weeks I became more
comfortable with the
interface and was able to
focus my practice sessions on
interior and graphic design.
These pictures embody the
multiple skillsets I
concentrated on, including
but not limited to texturing,
color filters, pixel
manipulation, and layer
masks. Through these
practice sessions I became
more confident in my graphic
and design skills with
Photoshop, and I am excited
to explore additional Creative
Cloud programs through
UNT and my individual
4 pursuits.

Revit
While AutoCAD is the international program for architectural and engineering projects, Revit is quickly gaining popularity in construction
and design worlds. Although there was a steep learning curve for this program, the resulting construction drawings were created in a far more
timely manner than their AutoCAD counterparts. By researching through architectural journals and asking the teachers and professionals I
interact with, I believe Revit will replace AutoCAD in the upcoming decades. Through this case study in programming I now have a working
understanding of Revit, and I am excited to continue developing my understanding of this exciting and efficient program.

A special thank you to the talented Sunga Park; her beautiful, dreamlike watercolors not only provided the cover image for this portfolio, they also influenced the color
palettes and general style I chose. Her elusive architecture series is a fantastic collection of art, and can be found on www.beautifullife.info.
