Julious Albertos Lester
Julious A. Lester the youngest child and one of many siblings birth to the late
Andrena ‘Bean’ Lester and Julious ‘Teeney Baby’ Bell, was born on August
30, 1981, in Mullins, South Carolina. He departed this life on Saturday,
February 13, 2021 at his residence.
As a young boy he was raised by his mother in Oxon Hill, Maryland and spent
his summers enjoying camp and family reunions. Julious graduated from
Oxon Hill High School, and later began his career with Safeway in 1999.
During his tenure Julious clinched many customer appreciation recognitions
and promotions, which lead him to becoming a profound butcher. He had a
love for his career, and worked for this employer for over 20 years. While at
Safeway Julious, who met no stranger, developed a brotherly bond with Jeff
Simmons over their banter regarding their respected teams, Cowboys
(Julious) and Washington Redskins (Jeff). Julious later met his wife in
2009, fell in love, and were happily married to Joann C. Simmons-Lester
in 2014.
Being a devoted husband and father to his fur-babies Savage
& Imani (deceased), they enjoyed comedy, movie nights,
everyday trash talking, video games, quality time,
sharing crazy videos in deep laughter, birthday
celebrations and more. They often enjoyed local trips to
visit their godchildren and other relatives.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife JoAnn

“His Journey’s Just Begun”
Don’t think of him as gone away
his journey’s just begun,
life holds so many facets
this earth is only one.
Just think of him as resting
from the sorrows and the tears
in a place of warmth and comfort
where there are no days and years.
Think how he must be wishing
that we could know today
how nothing but our sadness
can really pass away.
And think of him as living
in the hearts of those he touched…
for nothing loved is ever lost
and he was loved so much.
Julious
loved to laugh, and make others laugh. Julious
was no stranger to meeting new people and
making friends wherever he went. It isn’t one
person walking this earth that met Julious that
wasn’t touched by his presence. One of the most
loving and caring men I know.
Today I say goodbye to my husband, My life will never be the same. It hasn’t been the same
since 02/13/21. I miss him yelling babe and calling 50 times a day. The silence I endure
daily is heartbreaking. He had a heart of GOLD and it will never be another person like him.
If you were blessed enough to know him, you basically hit the lottery. My heart is forever
broken, and my life will never be the same. God I know he isn’t in pain anymore, and I
know everything happens for a reason. But I am so empty and it is hard to accept. But I
know with time I will learn to live with my loss. Julious Albertos Lester I LOVE YOU
FOREVER until we meet again. Your wife,
Joann JoJo Simmons-Lester
The family would like to acknowledge with sincere appreciation
your expressions of sympathy through prayers, cards, flowers, and
every act of kindness.
