Pupils have enjoyed significant academic success, together with
opportunities for skills and personal development, with almost seven
in ten pupils moving on to university and further education and one
in every five pupils moving in to work, high quality apprenticeships
or training. We have become a School of Football, a School of Rugby
and a School of Basketball.
Our pupils have excelled in sport and music. Pupils have retained
the Scottish Cup for handball and success has continued in football,
basketball and rugby with the under16s team winning the Lanarkshire
Cup. We have pupils representing Scotland and in some cases Great
Britain in swimming, athletics, karate, inline hockey, cani-cross and
basketball. Our Wind Band has gained both Platinum and Gold Plus
Awards at the National Wind Band Festivals and our Jazz Band has
won the Glasgow International Jazz Festival for the last 3 years. In
the Scottish Concert Band Festival [Advanced School Band Class]
our Senior Concert Band was awarded an outstanding Gold Plus for
the third year.
