Independent Family Visit to Adventure Park

1

We are going to Adventure Park in the city of
Visalia, California. There are a lot of different things

that I can to do there.

2

Adventure Park recognizes the Hidden
Disabilities Sunflower Program. Staff members

are trained to recognize and help those wearing
the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower.

3

By utilizing the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Program, you can
discreetly let hotel, attraction and restaurant staff know that you or
someone you are traveling with has a hidden disability.

Additional accommodations may include:

● Expedited hotel check-in or restaurant seating when possible
● Consideration for a specific seating request
● Quick checkout if the need to leave arises
● Allowing outside food or accommodating a special

request for the individual on the spectrum
● Understanding that the person may be non-verbal,

have difficulty sitting still and making eye contact

4

When we arrive at
Adventure Park
we will see a big

yellow building with
a green roof.

5

When we enter we will see lots of arcade games.
We can stay inside or walk past the arcade to the

back doors that will take us outside.

6

Some areas of Adventure Park are loud and some are
quiet. Some are crowded and some have fewer people.
Some are inside and some are outside. My family can

ask a staff member which areas are best for me.

7

To play arcade games
I will need an

Adventure Card.

When I play games I
will get points added to
my card. I can redeem
my points for prizes at

the prize counter.

8

Laser Tag and
Laser Maze are
indoor games.
Players have to

be in a dark
room to play.
The lasers are
colored lights.

9

If I get hungry there are a lot of yummy foods I
can choose from at the Kritters Funhouse
Pizzeria. We can sit down inside to eat.

10

We can also get
a quick bite to eat
or a drink at the

Snack Bar.

11

When we go
through the
back doors to
go outside I will
see a lot of

different
activities.

12

To ride in the 40 inches tall
bumper boats I
have to be over 40

inches tall.

I will get wet if
other people spray

me with their
water gun.

13

To play miniature
golf we first need to
get our golf balls and

golf clubs.

We will begin at
Hole #1. There are

18 Holes total.

14

If I want to bat I will 15

need to wear a
helmet in the batting
cage and remember

to be careful.

To start the ball
machine I just have

to swipe my
Adventure Card.

The Go-Karts are fun if I 54 inches tall
want to be a driver or a
passenger. All Go-Karts

drive on a racetrack.

If I want to drive I have to
be taller than 54 inches.

I have to be 40 inches or
taller to ride in the

passenger seat and the
adult driving has to be

older than 16.

16

If I’m too small for the Go-Karts, I can try

driving the Kritter Karts. The Kritter Karts drive

at a slow speed but are still fun! 17

Sequoia Springs is a water park that is only

open in the summer. I will get wet so I should

wear a swimsuit. There is a lot of splashing.

18

Adventure Park is so much fun!
I am ready to go!
