Gen Treasurer. From link given Puan Sareah Wahet been nominated by Puan Siti Mariam and seconded by Ms. Suli, Puan Sharipah Asiah nominated by Puan Raja and seconded by Ms. Choong. ACTIVITIES REPORT WITH PICTURE: Activity 1: Annual General Meeting TITLE/DATE: IJN Branch AGM/ 14th January 2022 OBJECTIVE: Annual General Meeting REPORT: The 27th MNA AGM IJN Branch was held on 14/01/2022 chaired by Madam Chairman Puan Anida Elias and attended by 254 members. During the meeting, all participant was gone through the minute of meeting for 2021 Annual General Meeting with minimal amendment done. The treasurer, Ms. Mah Kar Yee presented MNA IJN Branch income statement followed by presentation on all the activities conducted in year 2021 by the secretary, Ms. Sulizawati Nain. Agenda were continued with the election of Chairman, Treasurer and 5 committee members. Puan Anida Elias remained as a Chairman and Miss Mah Kar Yee remained as Treasurer as agreed by all members. Puan Sharifah Noraida Syed Nong, Puan Ruswati Khossim, Puan Noor Ashikin Saad, Puan Jasriyani Mohamad And Ms. Choong Shiau Yin won election for committee members. Members also suggested activities that they wanted like hiking, cycling, webinar and other activities. The meeting was end with photo session and Puan Anida thank all the members for the continuous support.
Activity 2: WEBINAR TITLE/DATE: MY HEART BEAT / 14TH JANUARY 2022 OBJECTIVE: MOTIVATIONAL TALK FOR IJN STAFF REPORT: MNA IJN Branch invited Coach Marzuki and Ibu Rose to give motivation to MNA members. We also invited other staff to join us for them to get benefit from this webinar. Total of 481 participants were joining our webinar which last for 2 hours. Our theme for this webinar is Together We Beat as One. The objective of this event was to embrace the mindset for change and take charge of our lives. To understand the psychology and process of change, learn specific, empowering mindsets for change and become the change- agent in our life. From some of the feedback from the participants, they understand on how essential is change need in someone’s life, the activities were fun, new experience obtained and now they enjoyed their working environment in parallel with our aim to make staff feel appertained in this institution.
Activity 3: EDUCATION TITLE/DATE: WALKABOUT EDUCATION BY CHAIRMAN/ 20TH JANUARY 2022 OBJECTIVE: TO IMPROVE NURSE’S KNOWLEDGE REPORT: To improve nurse’s knowledge MNA IJN Branch Chairman Puan Anida have taken initiative by do walkabout and share her knowledge with IJN nurses at the end of the shift. Activity 4: EDUCATION TITLE/DATE: BLOOD TRANFUSION WORKSHOP/ 30TH JANUARY 2022 OBJECTIVE: TO IMPROVE NURSE KNOWLEDGE REPORT: To improve nurse’s knowledge MNA IJN Branch arrange a workshop for IJN nurses, the objective of this workshop to give education especially for new nurses in IJN.
Activity 5: SOCIAL VISIT TITLE/DATE: VISIT RETIRED LIFE MEMBERS MNA / 22nd APRIL 2022 OBJECTIVE: HAPPINESS COMES FROM HELPING OTHERS, BY BEING WITH OTHERS, AND BY SHARING, EVEN IF IT'S ONLY A SMILE. REPORT: On 22nd May, madam Chairman Puan Anida and MNA members has visited retired staffs from IJN. One of the ex-IJN staff was Puan Jamaliah who was Life Member of MNA IJN. Puan Jamaliah previously had hold position of Chairman MNA branch previously before she retired from Nursing. The aim for the visit to give small goodies to retired staffs of IJN for Hari Raya celebration.
Activity 6: INTERNATIONAL NURSES DAY TITLE/DATE: NURSES DAY CELEBRATION / 12TH MAY 2022 OBJECTIVE: NURSES: A VOICE TO LEAD – INVEST IN NURSING AND RESPECT RIGHT TO SECURE GLOBAL HEALTH REPORT: Puan Anida and 8 Nurse Manager attended the International Nurses Day at The Everly Hotel, Putrajaya. The celebration launched by Health Minister YB Tuan Khairy Jamaluddin Abu Bakar and attended by Tan Sri Dato' Seri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah and Puan Devi A/P K. Saravana Muthu. During this event one of Nurse Manager IJN, Puan Nur Izyanti Mohd Supian shared IJN journey during Pandemic COVID-19. She shared experience: “Independent Panel for Pandemic Preparedness & Response (IPPPR) Focus Group Discussion”. From her talk the objective of this sharing to let other people know: 1. How global healthcare workers experienced the Covid-19 pandemic. 2. The impacts of pandemic to their day-to-day jobs as healthcare workers. 3. Aims to review lesson learned from the Covid-19 response and recommend changes in international systems for future pandemic. 4. Study of “Understanding the impact of Covid-19 on the Global Health Care Workforce. 5. Collaboration International Council of Nurses (ICN) with IPPPR. 6. MNA has been invited to be part of ICN in sharing experience.
Activity 7: NURSES DAY TITLE/DATE: NURSES DAY CELEBRATION FORM NURSES IJN / 12ND MAY 2022 OBJECTIVE: DISTRIBUTE TOKEN FOR NURSES IJN REPORT: On 12th May 2022, MNA IJN branch have distribute token and cake for all registered nurses of IJN to celebrate Nurses day. Activity 8: LEADERSHIP COURSE TITLE/DATE: MNA IN-HOUSE LEADERSHIP COURSE 2022/ 13TH MAY 2022 OBJECTIVE: LEADERSHIP COURSE REPORT: On 13th May 4 committee members attended In-House Leadership Course at Crystal Crown Hotel. The course very beneficial especially to new committee member to be equip with knowledge on do the report for activities and financial report.
Activity 9: EDUCATIONAL TITLE/DATE: KNOW YOUR HEART FROM ECG / 20TH MAY 2022 OBJECTIVE: TO IMPROVE NURSE KNOWLEDGE REPORT: In conjunction to Nurses Day celebration, MNA IJN Branch do several workshops to enhance nurse’s knowledge. 70 participants had joined this workshop. The main objectives for this workshop was to improve nurse’s knowledge on ECG Interpretation and arrythmias management. For this workshop, nurses from critical care area IJN have been invited to give talk to participants. Feedback from participant they have gained knowledge from this workshop and very beneficial for them at workplace. Activity 10: COLLABORATION TITLE/DATE: BLOOD DONATION DRIVE / 23RD & 24TH MAY 2022 OBJECTIVE: TO ASSIST IN BLOOD DONATION DRIVE REPORT: MNA IJN Branch do a collaboration activity with IJN Laboratory department. For both day total of 180 participation and from that 154 was successful donor. 30 successful donors were MNA members IJN Branch.
Activity 11: EDUCATION TITLE/DATE: CORONARY ARTERY BYPASS GRAFT… A PATIENT JOURNEY / 27TH MAY 2022 OBJECTIVE: IMPROVE NURSES KNOWLEDGE REPORT: This workshop has been participated with 75 participants. The objective of this workshop is to improve nurse’s knowledge on the journey of a patient who undergoing Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG) in IJN. The content by speakers very informative and easy to understand by participant. During workshop also the participant actively participates by sharing their experience taking care of CABG patient. A quiz session was conducted to evaluate participant understanding. Activity 12: EDUCATION TITLE/DATE: TEAM BUILDING / 4TH & 5th JUNE 2022 OBJECTIVE: IMPROVE NURSES KNOWLEDGE REPORT: MNA IJN Branch has assisted Nursing Division IJN to arrange Team building for Nurses and support staffs. Total of 5 team building have been planned for this year. First group team building has been successfully done on 4th and 5th June 2022. The objective of this team building was to build team work among staff, connecting to current mental model and mindset in line with vision and mission of IJN, increase team performance, exhibit the behaviors of IJN’s core values and experience the dynamic working in team.
Activity 13: SOCIAL ACTIVITY TITLE/DATE: VISIT PERSATUAN BINA KERJAYA ORANG KURANG UPAYA PERAK / 10TH JUNE 2022 OBJECTIVE: SOCIAL ACTIVITY REPORT: 18 members from MNA IJN Branch visit and supply necessity to occupant of Persatuan Bina Kerjaya Orang Kurang Upaya Perak (OKU). From this event we hope it can make all the people in there were happy to receive our visit. The objective of this visit was to know how this center help and train all disable people to be independent in their life. Activity 14: ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING TITLE/DATE: 72ND MNA AGM -PENANG / 11TH JUNE 2022 OBJECTIVE: IMPROVE NURSES KNOWLEDGE REPORT: 18 members have participated in 72nd AGM at Bayview Penang. For this year AGM, New President have been elected, Puan Aisyahton Suhaimi and Puan Hanimah Samsudin as Hon. Gen. Treasurer for MNA. During this event Penang branch also prepared activity for MNA members to eat Durian at the Bayview.
Activity 15: TOUR TITLE/DATE: PENANG TOUR / 12ND JUNE 2022 OBJECTIVE: RELATIONSHIP BONDING ACTIVITIES REPORT: Following AGM, IJN Branch also continue Penang Tour after the AGM and following day. Some activities during this tour was, water activity at beach, boat ride to Monkey Beach, visit Gurney road for Street Food Tour and go shopping at Batu Ferringhi Night Market. Activity 16: VISIT TITLE/DATE: MADAM CHAIRMAN VISIT HUSM / 29TH JUNE 2022 OBJECTIVE: RELATIONSHIP BONDING ACTIVITIES REPORT: Puan Anida has visited Hospital USM and meet with General Manager Nursing Division HUSM to share and discuss ideas for nursing profession in Malaysia.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF BRANCH VICE CHAIRMAN Responsible to Branch Chairman Duties and Responsibilities The Vice Chairman is accountable to the Branch Chairman for planning, coordinating and implementing all activities of all branch. Deputize the chairman in her absence. Administrative Functions 1. Assist the branch Chairman in the smooth running of the branch. 2. Attend to duties delegated by the Branch Chairman. 3. Assist in the planning and preparation of the annual master plan of all activities of the branch. 4. Disseminate information, latest news and upcoming activities and program members. 5. Supervise the implementation of scheduled activities. 6. Assist the Branch secretary on the preparation of the Branch Annual General Meeting. 7. Act as an advisor/resource person to branch members. 8. Attend meeting as required by the chairman to represent the association.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF BRANCH HONORARY SECRETARY Responsible to Branch Chairman Duties and Responsibilities The Branch Honorary Secretary is accountable to the Chairman for the smooth running of the branch in planning, coordinating and implementing all activities of the branch. Attend meeting as required by the chairman to represent the association. Membership 1. Maintain and update records of members 2. Assist the chairman in recruitment and sustaining membership of the branch. 3. Coordinate with the Branch Honorary Treasurer to update branch membership record. Branch Committee Meeting 1. Discuss with the chairman the agenda before the meeting 2. Send notice of the meeting at least two (2) weeks before meeting. 3. Record the minutes of the meeting. 4. Submit minutes of the meeting to the chairman for endorsement within one (1) week. 5. Disseminate all association information to members. 6. Maintain records of all meetings/ activities using a good filing system. Correspondence 1. Write letters or email to members on specific issues 2. Keep files of all correspondences. 3. Distribute Bulletin and JOMNA to members in benefit. Branch Annual Meeting 1. Initiate the preparation of the branch Annual General Meeting (AGM) a) Send the notice of the AGM in writing to all members through the area representatives at least one (1) month before AGM.
b) Write summary of the branch activities for the year. c) Prepare the files and necessary documents for the AGM. • Agenda • Secretary report. • Statement of account. • Minutes of previous year's AGM • Attendance list. 2. During the AGM a) Record attendances b) Write minutes of meeting c) Present the secretarial report. 3.
