• FELINE FEATURE FOCUSING ON A LONG TERM CAT

“ I have very limited vision, possibly blind due to a genetic
disorder however I can navigate my way around the office at
DoggieRescue to get to my favourite spot on the chair. “

After my breakfast every Monday I wait patiently at the door
until my lovely volunteer Hien lets me out to run straight to my
beloved couch! I do like her to spread out a nice soft blanket
before I lie on it though, but really that’s all I ask of her. The other
cats play and make noise but I don’t mind at all. I guess they
haven’t had the Royal upbringing I had, also I did graduate from
etiquette school with honours!!!

PRINCE HARRY
It’s impossible not to be wild about
this sweet ginger boy!

Hello Lovely Readers!

My name is Prince Harry... yes you heard
right, I’m a real Prince and have royal blood
and the ginger fur to prove it! I’m actually
next in line to sit on the throne to become
King... and if you’re lucky I could be King of
your castle and provide you with eternal love
and joy.

Unlike some Royal Princes, I am down
to earth and don’t ask too much of my
servants. I’m not a fussy eater at all and
enjoy any tasty meal that is put in front of me.

Although I cannot see, I still take a
lot of pride in grooming my glorious
ginger fur so it is always nice and shiny.
Only when I’m nice and clean, I make
myself comfy and enjoy my couch time. I
curl up in a neat ball and relax and enjoy
my time outside of the cat enclosure.

“ I have been at the shelter for a year now and would
love to find a home before a Christmas!” Prince Harry

By Hien Nguyen

“Prince Harry is really the most low
maintenance cat you could have. He has
a great appetite, is not bothered by other
cats and sits very patiently and does not
complain about anything.” Hien

Prince Harry has eye drops once daily and
does not fuss when we pick him up to do it. He
would be a wonderful companion for any
family as he enjoys gentle pats and loves
human company. Prince Harry really deserves
a home and after all who can resist a Royal

Hi Monika, It’s taken about a week or so for her and my other cat to

Just thought I’d send you an update on how things are get along, but now they are doing fine together (and
going with Asia. She settled into the home really quickly- even sleeping on the same lounge)
she was purring as soon as she got in the room. She has
really made herself at home, lounging on the sofa and Thanks for giving us the opportunity to welcome this
sitting on our laps (which we absolutely love, as my other gorgeous girl into our lives. She is super sweet and
cat is not as affectionate!). affectionate. Warm regards, Christel

Here’s Some Interesting,
By Tricia Curran

and Odd Rabbit Facts!

Fact 1: Rabbits can’t vomit.
Their digestive system makes
them unable to vomit so unlike
cats who can cough up a hair-
ball, rabbits have to eat fibrous
food to push things through
their digestive tract. Woodsy &
Forest say, ‘in one end and out
the other!’

FOREST 1.65kgs & WOODSY

rabbits & are a bonded pair.

Fact 2: Did you know? Rabbits’ vision covers
nearly 360 degrees which helps them as they are
prey animals. Lovebug at right says he’s watching
you! This means they can see things coming at
them from above, on their sides and from behind,
with their only blind spot being a small area directly
in front of their faces. So no boops please! Meet LOVEBUG
& his partner
“Rabbits are amazing animals and each month we CUDDLES
will explore the many unusual qualities which make on p18
them such unique and loveable pets.” Tricia
