Pinocchio & Jiminy

Once upon a time there were two brothers.
They were born into a hoarder situation and
rescued by RESCUE CAT PROJECT. At just
5 months old ( see photo at left ) they were
adopted together by a family who were so
excited to be giving them a loving home.
Sadly just a few months later they were found
in a country pound just by chance by a
volunteer from Doggie Rescue who was
rescuing a dog. They had been on death row
there for about 8 weeks and time was running
out. Why they were abandoned again we
have limited information, except perhaps due
to a marriage breakdown.

And so their second journey began
at DoggieRescue, that was in 2016.

Being such sweet natured cats they deserve
another chance with a loving family. Both
show gratitude when they are patted and
admired, and will happily sit on your lap (yep
each one does manage to squeeze on a
person’s lap) while you continue to pat and tell
them how beautiful they are. Your lap is fine,
they don’t need a pedestal. They are both 2
years of age, and starting to mature, with
siestas during the day becoming a prime
activity. They also love to watch the birds in
the trees or the crawly things in the grass –
we would love them to have an enclosed
outdoor space besides being part of your
family with a cosy bed at night.

My name is Somerset and I was not always as gorgeous as I am today. I was
in a bad way after being trapped and serving my time in a high kill pound. But
Kimberley adopted me and I now reside in Canberra with my family ( incl my
sister cat Lady ). Kimberly says "He is doing brilliant and is still the funniest cat
ever. He has been on a bit of a diet, as he was 9kg he is now down to 7kg and
looks amazing.” ( I agree ). I am a testament to FIV positive cats being able to
live healthy lives and co-exist with other friendly cats, especially if the FIV
positive cat ( me ) is a lover not a fighter! See how happy and healthy and

Are you ready to show special attention to a new little fur-child? Come meet Josephine recently rescued from the
pound, she has had her vet work and is ready for adoption meetings. She is smaller than we expected for her age (4
months), so we are "feeding her up". She loves being patted, a bit reluctant to trust us all yet with cuddles, and yes-
terday started to play with lots of the toys in the cat room (someone put a few of those she selected in with her safe

1. Tennessee, 2. William and 3. Brick are gorgeous tabby boys around 12 months old and are very friendly and
playful. They are still very kittenish in their behaviour. They love their toys and wrestling and chasing each other.
They purr very loudly, love pats and run to people for attention. They love playing together and like dogs too. They
have short, very soft silky coats. Tennessee is the boldest, and he loves his foster carer's dogs. William is the
prettiest but can be a bit shy of new people. Brick is the smallest and is probably the most suited to being an only cat.
He is a little more independent but still loves his pats and attention. Their foster carer is located in Parramatta area.
