• Feline FEATURE LOGAN & LEVI—PROOF + THAT FIV CATS MAKE GREAT PETS!
Looking for two of the
most sweet-natured
kitties around?
Levi & Logan are gentle kitties over a year
old and still seeking their for ever family. They
were rescued with a sibling, and have been with
a kind foster carer who showed them a normal
and loving home environment.
Both are now with us at the shelter and have
been provided with a “balcony” in a catio for
catching the sun and the sights (in much
reduced space of course).
Logan is a gorgy-boy, enjoys playing with toys
that you of course will dangle and throw for his
amusement. He likes to take his toys back to his
bed, where we mostly find them. He is a lovely
fluffy ginger and white – showing the general
tendency of gingers to be very friendly.
Levi is the “brains”, she is smart and quite good
about assessing risks. Long and lean, she has
huge green eyes to assess the world around her.
She does enjoy being patted, her favourite soft
spot is just under her chin! Her coat looks like a
tuxedo, but… she has tabby ginger markings in
her black coat which show up in the bright
sunlight, quite unusual.
Both of these cats are FIV (feline immunity Sponsor: “A loving home soon!” Love from Sam & Joy Jenkins

Listing, in no particular order, their favourite activities: catching some sun, playing
with toys, watching the world go past and hanging out with people in the office, on
a balcony or catio, or best: on the bed! They were fostered in an apartment, and
don’t need lots of space but do need two litter trays (one each please).

HAS YOUR CAT BEEN VACCINATED WITH A LIVE F3 VACCINE?
If not, please see your local vet.
Feline Panleukopenia is both deadly
and preventable.
Vaccination has revolutionised control of infectious disease in our pets. It is essential that all pets
are adequately vaccinated to help protect the pet population as a whole. Responsible pet care
requires kittens be given their initial course of vaccinations, but this cannot protect them for the
rest of their lives. Adult cats require regular vaccination to maintain immunity against disease.
When you adopt a kitty from DoggieRescue they come with F3 vaccinations for all kittens and cats are vaccinated in
accordance with standard procedures, ie if people adopt from us then the kitties are initially covered and you will be
provided with a Vaccination Certificate from The Cottage Animal Hospital.
All vaccinations take time to be effective and cats/kittens should be kept safe and away from other cats/kittens during
that time, either in the house and in outdoor enclosures, we also recommend good healthy diets. Outdoor enclosures
are a great idea for any cat owner to keep kitty safe and also stop them from mixing with other cats and therefore not
at risk of picking up infectious diseases from unvaccinated cats.
We highly recommend that after adoption that adopters engage with a good reliable vets such as The Cottage
Animal Hospital for the continued good health and care of their new family member.
Feline Panleukopenia virus, also known as feline infectious enteritis, feline parvoviral enteritis, feline
distemper, feline ataxia, or cat plague, is a viral infection affecting cats. There is an outbreak of this horrible,
fatal disease in Sydney right now. Get your cats vaccinated as soon as you can. Even indoor cats cat get it

comedians. Binkies (little hop-spins and kicks they
do when they’re happy), bunny flops (flopping over
and playing dead) and bunny 500s (think the Indy 500,
but with bunnies) are just some of the quirky and
amusing habits of the house bunny.
Rabbits also love to play with toys and there are many
available, a lot you can make yourself. They love rolly
and jingly toys, wooden blocks, anything fun for
chewing! They also LOVE tunnels to run through and
hide out in, and it provides great exercise. Buns love
being stimulated and toys are a great way to get them
to use their brains and lead a happier life.
