When angry, she roars like a lioness,
Her gallant traits can fight all slyness.

Still she wanted to watch the game,
Played against her without any shame.
She knew the aim was to break her empire,
But she was ready to lose her fire.

The inscrutable mystery of a woman’s heart,
Even makes the empress unaware of the
smart art.
The game of love is so dangerous,
Even the contessa is ready to become adven-
turous.

Inner Voice: Rending the Heart

Last night while I was studying in my room, I got a call from my uncle who lives nearby.
He was all alone in his home and was not feeling well. I too was alone preparing for my
exams but pondering upon the situation I prepared for the exam within a short time and
stepped quickly to his house. He told me that he wasn’t fine and there was nobody to take
care of him so I believed him and went there. As I reached there, I found him fully drunk
and he wasn’t even able to handle himself. His way to see me was something different
that terrible night. He looked me with drunk red eyes revealing his utter bad intentions.
He came closer to me by making excuses like he was unable to stand properly. I should
assist him on his way to bed and let him sleep as he was my uncle and then decided
to return to my home for studies. Innocently, I took him to his bed room but he tried to
misbehave with me. He forced me for the sexual abuse and tried to touch my body here
and there. When I tried to run, he pulled me back and pushed me to the wall. I cried, I
shouted, I screamed louder and louder with time but there was no one to listen to my
afraid voice. That horrible night snatched my everything: my happiness, my self-respect,
my dignity and to the extreme, my soul! That brutal devil broke me and my inner heart.
The very next day, I walked towards my home absolutely traumatised. I didn’t appear for
my exam that day and called my parents for help. They came home and then I narrated
them everything but my father tried to lower down my voice. He suggested not to tell
others about that incident, and I thought, how could a person, the one whose daughter
has gone through such a torment, suggest to shut the mouth? I walked against my father
and decided to raise my voice for justice as I didn’t want to leave that man who made me
a victim. Because of my bold step that day now I’m here, at this stage, where everyone
is supporting me and raising voice for my justice. The court’s hearing is in the next week
and I won’t let that man live freely for his crime, that’s my promise to myself.

PS: Not all men have the same ill mentality. Rapists are mentally sick persons who don’t
see woman as a human being, daughter as a daughter, sister as a sister but every female
around them as a source of few seconds of pleasure. A pleasure that lasts for 5-22
seconds and destroys the life of the girls within these few moments. Is that 22 seconds
of pleasure for their organs worth ruining a girl’s life? Also the bitter truth that we face
in our society is that the parents try to hide these incidents in order to avoid problems
regarding their prestige and pride. Rapists should be subjected to capital punishment
so that every accused and innocent person gets a clear idea that even thinking of such
a crime may destroy their whole lives. If they are mentally sick, as described by many,
they should be sent to lunatic asylums and should be castrated in order to prevent any
more acts of inhumanity around us.

Striving to be Gender –
Neutral

My adamant decision of adopting a girl child when my
wife gave birth to a boy without disclosing the gender of
the adopted child... Did meet up with revolts and sudden
withdrawal of support from my family...
Knowing that there would be a sub conscious discrimination,
if I disclosed it to my wife.. I had let her bear the pains of
such without her knowledge. She gracefully accepted my
decision and bore the pains with me...

One morning when our bucket of sunshine played in our
laps... I was questioned by my other half, to which I had to
answer.
“I adopted the other one so that they would grow up in an
environment of equity and value their relationship. They
would bear the same amount of pain the world would give
them together.
The boy would teach her to be heads on with the world,
providing an invisible cloak as she proceed in her life. While
the girl would teach the boy to love and live along in serenity
and calmness.
They will deal in love and hate together. Their love will
cherish within with purity and the sense of being supported
will be with them when we are not around. “

भजे रही राखी मैं भी, शुभ रक्षाबं धन का है त्यौहार सनु ो, जन्म से पहले कई बटे ियों को, माँ बाप से दूर करती ह,ै
बटे ी बन मंै कोख मे आई, पर दनु िया को देख न पाई, मिटा डालो अब ये करीतिया, बस इतना उपकार चाहिए,
मरे ी पहली ये राखी, जिसका हक़दार है मरे ा भाई, राखी के बदले नोजवानो,ं बस यही उपकार चाहिए,
राखी के बदले भैया मझु को एक उपहार चाहिए, आखिरी ये राखी उन नते ाओं के नाम करती हूँ,
मा-ँ पापा और समाज दे ना सके , वो जीने का अधिकार चाहिए, मेरे हक मंे आवाज उठाई, दिल से नमन करती ह,ंै

मुझे लोक लाज के बड़े ियों में जकड़े रहने को कहती ह,ै  
मरे ी आज़ादी मुझे जी भर के हसने को कहती ह,ै
पर साथ मे ही वो मझु े बचपन भलू जाने को कहती ह.ै
मरे ी आज़ादी मुझे दनु िया मे कु छ बड़ा करने को कहती ह,ै
पर वो दनु ियादारी की बातों मंे पड़ने से रोक देती ह.ै
मरे ी आज़ादी से एक बार गुफ्तगु कर लेना यारो,ं

I am the youth. If I am nurtured and polished right,
I am an asset, and if I am left raw and unattended,
I am a liability. I have the zeal to make or break
the nation. I work my way around the grey cells of
my brain to drive passion into the cornerstones of
creativity, only to rise up, above, and beyond. I see
the problems of our nation, I act and react; and
sometimes I even react and don’t act. I have my
nation on the World Wide Web, I have access to the
ocean of infinite possibilities. I see India as a coal
mine, still at verdict whether to be turned into a
jewel or junk. I have it all but I lack direction, I am
the flame unattended, and untouched. I carry the
power to burn the bridges or break the burdens. The
social and political conflicts that weigh down the
nation’s common man are mine to set into correct
motion. I aim to make this place a safer habitat for
those beautiful souls that are stripped down to the
hands of morally misbalanced beasts.
I aim to make this place a better environment to
breathe in.
I aim to rob off the justice idol of its blindfold and
seek the true justice for those who are suffering
under the darkness of money, and power and pride
that is being misused.
I aim to break the chains of superstitions and
unethical practices that bring misery to the human
kind.

I aim to keep the intellectual gems of India in its
original place to stop brain drain and make this
nation progress forward without being crippled to
the caste system.
I aim to make India a better country to live in and a
better country to be looked at.
I am the young generation of India,
I have the eyes of a hawk,
Heart of a lion,
And voice of a wolf.
I am the change that the world wants to see. I am
the prayer that is murmured by the sufferers and
the victims, I am the blessings that the old people
give to the new ones,
And I am the one who holds the future of India.

capture the Jubar Top where he was wounded by
bullets on legs and shoulder.
Today we have a free nation. Did anyone think
why we are free and happy? Our soldiers struggle
at the border to keep us safe. They have to stay
awake only then we can sleep. The soldiers are our
superheroes. When everything fails in the country,
Indian Army marches in quietly and then move
back even more quietly. So as a citizen we must
be proud to have such brave soldiers in our coun-
try. Hats off to our soldiers. Let’s give them a big
salute:

API Haryana Mid Year CME 2018

Hosted by API Mullana Chapter

The Department of Medicine (Mullana Chapter of API
Haryana) organized the first Mid year CME under the
official banner of Association of Physicians of India
on 12th August 2018. The CME was accredited by
Haryana Medical Council and was granted 7.15
credit hours. The CME was intended to benefit
academicians, private practitioners and postgraduate
students. Speakers from institutions shared their
experiences and knowledge with the delegates.
Dr. Vivek Handa (Director, ESC head office, New
Delhi) was the guest of honor and Dr. Victor Gambhir
(Vice Chancellor, MMDU) was the chief guest. The
highlights of the meet were the excellent academic
session which were conducted by the esteemed
speakers who had come from Premier institutes of
India like AIIMS (Dr. Anant Mohan), PGI Chandigarh
(Dr. Sanjay Badhada, Dr. H. S. Kohli, Dr. Subhash
Verma), PGIMS Rohtak (Dr. V. K. Katyal, Dr. Harpreet
Singh, Dr. Neetu Jain), MGIMS Sewagram (Dr. S.
P. Kalantri) and Apollo Hospital Delhi (Dr. O P.
Sharma). The CME was attended by around 200
delegates from all over Haryana.

improve it. It organizes events and activities for people to participate that include tree planting, cleaning
drives, and spreading the good word and awareness about the need to improve the atmosphere.

ऐसा करने से पक्षियों का दीवार पर बठै ना बं द हो जाएगा।क्योंकि दीवार के काचं ों से उनके नाजकु पैर घायल
हो सकते ह।ंै कै सा स्पष्ट सं देश है िक हम कितना महत्वपरू ्ण काम क्यों न करें, कै सा भी जीवन क्यों नहीं जिए,
प्रकृ ति से कटकर प्राणियों की चितं ा किए िबना जीना बड़प्पन की निशानी नही।ं

Breathing in the polluted air, and how.

The one, that saved lives,
All toxicated, no more pure,
"Hail O' Human!", she pleaded,
'Water- the life saviour', has gone.

Once stitched with the trees,
'Clean-n-green' was your prime,
"Hail O' Human!", she said,
Cutting them down, is no less than a crime.

You shall become a rock,
Of regrets, the stones are paved,
"Hail O' Human!", she marked,
I, mother earth, shall not be saved.

मंै आज भी वही हंू, जहां कल था,
सदियों से मैं यही हंू, हे मनषु ्य,
तरे ा बचपन, जवानी, बढु ़ापा और मौत को देखा ह,ै
परंतु तुमने कभी मेरे एहसास को, अस्तित्व को महससू ही
नहीं किया।
मंै भी हंसता हूं, मैं भी रोता हंू, मझु े भी दर्द होता ह।ै
कभी तमु ने सोचा ह,ै जिस लकड़ी के घरों मंे तमु रहते हो,
