during Miami Art Week at Spectrum Miami Art Show - a juried,

contemporary art show in the heart of Miami's Arts &
Entertainment District, December 6-10, 2017.

Ximena Kavalekas is a Miami based accessories brand
specializing in unique, hand made genuine python bags. She
brings forward a new wave of exceptionally and expertly
crafted exotic-skin accessories made entirely in Italy.  The

CATCH MICHELLE

Catch Michelle was founded in 2013 in United Kingdom by Mihaela Teleaga
Designer.
In french Michelle means Mihaela, the designer’s name and Catch because of
her life events and the rush to realize her dreams. She started to draw at 5
years old for the first time and later she discovered her passion for fashion
design when she started to create clothes for herself, inspired also from ‘’ A
woman of substance’’ movie.
After years of study in London in art, fashion design, costume history and
pattern cutting and her internship experience with Vivienne Westwood
through Marangoni Institute, London Campus, the designer started her
collaboration with romanian surrealist painter, Mihai Criste.
The transposition of his paintings on the fabrics combined with the designer’s
dreams formed the base of the brand Catch Michelle. Mihaela Teleaga’s
dream to showcase her Fall Winter 2016/2017 collection, ”Dream Walker”, in
New York City becomes reality soon after her presentation of the Spring
Summer 2016 Collection ‘’Dream Seller’’ during Paris Fashion Week on 4th
October 2015 with a positive feedback from european press and buyers.

MARIA CAMILA RODRIGUEZ

Maria Camila Rodriguez was born in Bogota, Colombia. Since
childhood she had the privilege of being involved in art and
creativity since his father is a distinguished artist. 

At school she stood out in subjects related to art and design, she
knew her career had to be related with something creative;
therefore she started a career in Fashion Design.

She also lived in England, which led her to meet new perspectives
of the industry, trends and to dream internationally. Great
experience, yet, she returned to Bogota working in a photography
agency on the graphic design and illustration department. But her
traveler spirit did not keep her there for long. 

Off again, she traveled to Barcelona to do a master course in
Management and Entrepreneurship of Fashion, which led her to
create her brand MCR.

KRISTIN PAVLICK

Born outside of Philadelphia, Kristin Pavlick has been a life-
long artist, channeling her  creative  vision  to magnify the
beauty of everyday experiences.  Pavlick celebrates the
subtle, natural splendor of ordinary scenes in a way that is
both intense and dramatic. She paints in acrylic and has a
diverse portfolio — from brilliant landscapes to
expressionistic portraits.

"When I paint I feel alive," Pavlick says. "Painting connects me
to the world and allows me to express myself. By breathing
life into perception, I can teach an audience to find the beauty
in experience."

PETE KIRILL

Pete Kirill was born in Mobile, Alabama in 1974. He received
his BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago
(concentration in Fine and Design).

Kirill collaborated with techno-timba music collective Sin
Palabras (Havana) from 2000 to 2003.

His first solo exhibition, A Communist Dictator Visits Miami,
debuted at Myra Galleries Miami in October 2011.

In February 2013 he completed MC Elvis, a full-scale mural in
Miami’s Wynwood Arts District, receiving widespread
coverage from The Miami Herald, CBS News Miami, FOX
News Miami and Yareah Magazine.

ALEXA TORRES

Alexa Torres, born in Bogotá, Colombia. She is based in Fort
Lauderdale, USA since 1999.

Daily inspiration is develop at her studio by collections. Her
background in architecture allows us to enjoy bold
compositions with a similar color structure, variety of shapes
and movement.

She  perceived art as her reminder of a happy and positive
life,  because it is short and days get better when you
surround it with beauty.

MILES DURANGO

Miles Durango (1978). With knowledge and background in
visual arts, film, and photography, he likes to explore
perceptions of Pop culture and advertising, both subjects that
resonate within his art bursting with energy and color.
Spaghetti western movies, comic books, graffiti of the late 80s,
and pop icons have inspired his distinct artwork.

Durango uses a variety of techniques including painting, spray
paint stencils, printing, and digital collage.

ANDRES BUITRAGO

Andres Buitrago is a Visual Artist with audiovisual emphasis. Since
his teens years, Buitrago always has been aware and fascinated of
the different currents of fashion and music, discovering how the
world in the 80s and 90s awoke to a frenzy of consumption. Music
channels, magazines, radio, the emergence of Internet spreading
like a virus, brands, trends, popular idols in Colombia and around
the world becoming trends as if they were a religion. All these
images were engraved in his head when he start college creating
images based on fashion and music in his work as a student of art,
and as a photographer he found the best way to express all this
flood of images as visual boom that has been around us for years.

"To create an image I always look to the past and I take the
present", Buitrago says, "the future does not exist".

GIOVANNI DI NUNZIO

Artist & Fashion Creative 

Born in Venezuela (1982).  Long time backstage photographer for
Dazed & Confused and Another Magazine (UK).

Studied fashion in Milan and works as a creative consultant and
stylist as well as photographer. 

Giovanni Di Nunzio's practice explores ideas around
communication. Some of his works are conceptual juxtapositions
of text and images that demonstrate the enormous associative
power of language in the way that art is interacted with and
understood. Art, created by language and visuals.

SOFIA REYES

The work of Sofia Reyes (Bogota 1982) can be interpreted as a
battleground between the noise and the silence of
representation. No representation as a retinal condition last
industrial action but as a discourse of chaos.

Using various media and aesthetic languages, blurs the
boundaries between self and virtual-memory-memory
collective trivialized by new communication codes-product of
globalization internet. Thus Sofia permanently redefine their
memories, dissolving within the imaginary viral meme or
pornography.
