Shabbat Across America
On Friday night, February 28, 2020,
150 members of our Ahavath Torah and
area Jewish community gathered in an
unparalleled display of Jewish
revitalization and Jewish unity.
ATC was one of approximately 700
synagogues across the continent that
simultaneously opened its doors to
experience and rejoice in a traditional Shabbat service and
a buffet dinner honoring food from across this great
country. Tina and Dr. Arthur Mallock were our hosts for
the evening, with Dan and Betty Bauman leading the
service. We were excited for the return of Tufts
University’s a cappella ensemble, Shir Appeal who
entertained during dinner and service

Passover Cooking Demo
ATC members Elana Milstein and Rob Yunich
led a virtual Passover cooking demo during
the week of March 15-20. Because of the
closures caused by COVID-19, the March 15
in-person demonstration was postponed.
Dishes demonstrated during the video series
included: Slow-Roasted Apricot Chicken,
Yankele's Israeli Salad, Not-Your-
Grandmother's Matzah Farfel Stuffing, and
Elana's Cinnamon Snickerdoodle Cookies.
All of the ingredients used during the demo
were kosher for Passover. The videos can
be found on ATC's YouTube channel and
Facebook page. Elana and Rob hope to
conduct an in-person demonstration in the Slow-Roasted Apricot Chicken
future.
