The things I have seen… the stars I have floated above… the cultures that have been laid out before me like a endless feast. Precentor Bhaoil, thank you so much for the last several years. If you could’ve seen
the aftereffects of the supernova, or landed on the pristine worlds in the Jacobite system, or lived among the JàrnFòlk (Oh, the technology they have for long-term space travel!) you would understand my gratitude. I
have experienced and seen more than I ever thought possible.

I’m sorry for my scattered thoughts, but as this is the first message I’ve been able to send in some three years, I can’t begin to put it all down now. I’ve kept my daily journal, however, and all logs will be attached.
For so many years, I was brought up to hate and fear the Clans—monolithic, tradition-bound, blood thirsty warriors intent on conquering everyone. But after years among the Diamond Sharks, I can no longer see
the spectre I was raised to fear. In their own way, they are as honor-bound and warrior oriented as any Clan, and yet they have a way of looking forward that most Clans lack: a way that has allowed them to survive
and prosper even when they shouldn’t have. I believe they will survive no matter what.

For years, we have concentrated so hard on the Clans that have conquered worlds within the Inner Sphere that we have overlooked the Diamond Sharks. In their own way, they have forged a better relationship
with various Inner Sphere powers than any other Clan, while still managing to maintain ties with the Clans that despise them.
The new trend of upgrading ancient BattleMech designs—first introduced in the Inner Sphere—has begun to move amongst the Clans, instigated by Clan Diamond Shark. Once again, it is a measure of their
subtle power and influence. Though it may seem that her enthusiasm would blind her, Capetturn’s journals tell a story of a dangerous power to which we have been blind, who has woven firm threads already into the
Inner Sphere.
