BIOGRAPHY

Ts Dr Nor Hafiez Mohamad Nor obtained his first degree in
Mechanical Engineering from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia
(UKM) before pursuing his MSc (Manufacturing) Engineering
degree and later completed his PhD degree in (Manufacturing)
Engineering with the same university. He started his career as a
lecturer at Faculty of Mechanical Engineering UiTM in 2001 and
presently is a Senior Lecturer at this faculty. He was also part of
UiTM Management Team as a Centre of Studies Heads
(Manufacturing, Design & Innovation). In his career, Ts Dr Nor
Hafiez Mohamad Nor had also been given an opportunity to gain
more than six months of industrial experience as a visiting researcher, working at Joining and
Welding Research Institute (JWRI) at Osaka University. His competencies in mechanical
engineering areas supported by his past experiences and current involvements with many
industries have qualified him to register as a Professional Technologist (Ts) with the Malaysia
Board of Technologists (MBOT). Ts Dr Nor Hafiez Mohamad Nor has been lecturing on
Computer Added Design, Manufacturing Processes, World Class Manufacturing and Mechanics
of Materials, which happens to be his areas of research interest and has published more than 100
technical papers in journals and conference proceedings locally and internationally. Due to his
expertise experiences, he has been appointed as a judge in design competition, external
examiner, keynote speaker, panel evaluator, visiting researcher and a member in various
technical committees at national and international level.
