ผ้าสาเกต

1. ลายโคมเจ็ด หมายถึง โคมไฟส่องสว่างสู่ความรุ่งเรือง ความอุดมสมบูรณ์ ความเพิ่มพูลของผลผลิต ตลอดจนการอยู่ดีกินดี ลวดลายทั้ง 5 ที่ประกอบกันนี้เรียกวา ลายสาเกต และไดประกาศใหเปนลวดลาย เอกลักษณประจําจังหวัดรอยเอ็ด เมื่อวันที่ 13 กันยายน 2544 2. ลายนาคนอย หมายถึง ลายนาคพ่นน�้า เปนสัญลักษณ์ของความ อุดมสมบูรณ์ ชุ่มชื้น ฝนตกต้องตามฤดูกาล ยังความสมบูรณ์สู่ไร่นา 3. ลายคองเอี้ย หมายถึง ลักษณะของสายน�้าที่เอื้ออ�านวยต่อวิถีชีวิต ความเปนอยู่และการประกอบการอาชีพเกษตรกรรมของชาวร้อยเอ็ด 4. ลายหมากจับ (หมากจับเปนชื่อพืชชนิดหนึ่ง) หมายถึง ความประทับใจ (จับจิตจับใจ) เมื่อใครได้มาพบเห็นความมีน�้าใจของชาวร้อยเอ็ด แล้วอยากจะไปมาหาสู่ตลอดไป 5. ลายคํ้าเพา เปนลายเส้นตรง ประกอบด้วยเส้นสองเส้น หมายถึง ความซื่อตรงมุ่งมั่น เข้มแข็ง อดทน ความยั่งยืนแห่งมิตรภาพของชาวร้อยเอ็ด ผ้าสาเกต ผาสาเกต หมายถึง ผ้าที่ประกอบด้วยลายผ้าที่เปน เอกลักษณ์ในการทอผ้าไหมของจังหวัดร้อยเอ็ด น�าเอาลายมัดหมี่พื้นบ้าน 4 ลาย ลายขิด 1 ลาย ที่นิยมทอในกลุ่มชนที่อยู่ในเมืองร้อยเอ็ด มาทอต่อ กันในผ้าผืนเดียวกัน เปรียบเสมือนเปนการหลอมรวมความสามัคคี ของชาวร้อยเอ็ดให้เปนหนึ่งเดียว โดยแต่ละลายจะทอคั่นด้วยผ้าสีพื้นดอกอินทนิลบก (สีชมพูอมม่วง) ซึ่งเปนดอกไม้ประจ�าจังหวัดร้อยเอ็ด ค�าว่า “สาเกต” นี้เปนชื่อเดิมของ จังหวัดร้อยเอ็ด ลายมัดหมี่ 5 ลายที่ประกอบในผ้าสาเกต ได้แก่ รอยเอ็ด ในมุมมองใหม่ ROI-ET NEW SERIES 2

Sa-Ket Fabric Sa-Ket Fabric refers to fabric consisting of unique patterned in the silk weaving of Roi Et Province by weaving five popular tie-and-dye patterns together into the same cloth as the one to unite the unity of Roi Et people. Each pattern is weaved by plain color fabric of Inthanin Bok flowers (Magenta), which is the flower of Roi Et province. Sa-Ket is the original name of Roi Et Province. The patterns of five tie-and-dye that are composed in Sa-Ket are; 1. Kome-Jed pattern refers to that the lamp illuminates the glory, abundance, productivity and well-being .................................................................................................... 2. Nak-Noi pattern refers to Naga spraying water pattern is a symbol of fertility, humidity, and seasonal raining for the perfect farm. .................................................................................................... 3. Kong-Eai pattern refers to the nature of the river that facilitates the way of life and agriculture of the Roi Et people. .................................................................................................... 4. Mhak-Jab pattern (Mhak-Jab is the name of a plant) refers to the impression when anyone meets the kindness of the Roi Et people and wants to visit endlessly. .................................................................................................... 5. Kam-Pao pattern refers to a straight line pattern consisting of two lines, meaning integrity, commitment, strength, patience, sustainability of the friendship of Roi Et people.
