ROXSIL BREATHABLE PAINT KEEPS WALLS LOOKING BEAUTIFUL
All cements walls contain water, and all cement walls breathe.
When the sun heats the wall, the water within turns into vapour. Vapour does not stay still and seeks to become part of the atmosphere. This movement of vapour- through the walls and into the atmosphere- can be described as ‘breathing’.
Acrylic paints are simply plastic molecules suspended in water. When you apply acrylic paints, it is like sticking a thin sheet of plastic on your wall. Acrylic paints are non-breathable and prevents vapour from being released into the atmosphere.
Roxsil Breathable paint works with your walls, and allows vapour to pass through- with no effect to paint adhesion. Formulated with Roxsil Open Pore technology, it reduces the incidences of paint problems, and keeps walls looking bright and beautiful.


HOW DOES WATER GET INSIDE WALLS?
When the wall is exposed to the elements during construction. Through leaks caused by a burst pipe within the wall.
Through water from the roof that drips on the top of the wall
Through capillary action. Oil rises through the wick of an oil lamp. In the same way, water defies gravity and rises through the many tiny and connected tunnels in the cement wall. This process is called rising damp, and is especially prevalent on structures built on land with high water tables.
