That paint is Lotasil Heritage Collection, based on a brilliant German technology proven over 40 years that lets water escape from the lime plastered wall.
Why is that so important?
Because until now, paints have formed a plastic film that trapped water. As that water escapes, it damages the paint in
a number of ways. Trapped water is the number one cause of paint failure. You can’t paint before the wall is dry and tested by Protimeter or you’ll definitely have paint failure in the future. You’re wasting time and money.

Lotasil breathes to remove the major cause of paint problems.
Normally, water trapped inside walls is the major cause of paint deterioration. Lotasil Breathable Paint releases that water.
Water enters the wall in three ways:
1. Poor drainage allows water to collect at the base. It is sucked up by cappillary action. 2. Through hairline cracks when it rains.
3. During construction and plastering.
Lotasil Heritage Paint is totally different. Its molecular structure is almost identical to quartz, allowing it to become part of the wall surface. Instead of coating the wall in a continuous plastic film, it forms micro-pores which allow the water to escape easily. As an added bonus, Lotasil’s bond with the wall surface
is super strong.

Lotasil Heritage Paint comes with the primer already built in! You can apply just two coats of Lotasil Heritage Breathable Paint. However, we encourage you to use one undercoat of Lotasil Heritage Breathable Paint to reinforce and consolidate all loose particles and chalkiness of the lime plastered wall.
