No person may remain a Cadet
Cadet Regulations after his 18th birthday. The
Cadet may elect to join Adult
Eligibility membership at any time after
(a) Candidates for Cadet Membership must: their 16th birthday.
(i) Be between their 10th and 18th birthdays
(ii) Have the written consent of their parent or guardian
(iii) Be acceptable in all respects to the Commander
(iv) Have passed the Essentials of First Aid or Basic First Aid
examination
(b) The date of joining is the date of signing the Form BF1 or
BFRS.

Enrolment Ceremony

(a) The Enrolment Ceremony is to take place as soon as practicable, and in any case
not more than six months after the Cadet has joined the SJAM. The Ceremony may
be conducted in order of preference, by:
(i) The State/Regional/Area Commander
(ii) A Staff Officer (Cadets)
(iii) A President
(iv) Other senior officer approved by the State/Regional/Area Commander
(b) The Ceremony should take place at State/Regional/Area Headquarters, a half or
other suitable place where parents and friends can witness the event.

Grand Prior’s and Cadet Proficiency Badges

Cadets who have obtained 12 badges may
