Topic: Improving and keeping the batik industry alive. Problem: Outdated in terms of style innovations. Solution: Integrating modern taste in clothing style with the batik elements among students (specifically IIUM community) i.e. becoming or volunteering to be one of the designers for clothing (self branding). Start-up a small clothing designing business i.e. Sweatshirts with a batik lining or layer. BATIK presented by group Saree

Problem: The art creation of labu sayong are slowly disappearing due to the lack of younger generation interest in inheriting the art because it's viewed as not important anymore. Solution: Make a craft gallery that can showcase labu sayong with information boards about its creation and history. Having the product being shown and fun facts being provided at the stall will peak the interest among young people and attract many people to continue this creation. Problem: The absence of widespread ackowledgement of the keris as a historical and cultural icon in Malay tradition Solution: Use the power of social media and short-form content such as Tiktok, Youtube & Instagram to promote the history and cultural significance of keris in order to bring it back to relevance among the youth. KERIS LABU SAYONG presented by group Puisi presented by group Mangkuk Tingkat

RATTAN Topic: The natural rattan industry is threatened by the mass production of synthetic rattan. Problem: The natural rattan industry is facing competition from mass produced synthetic rattan which lead to a decline in demand and cause environmental concerns and a change of consumers' preferences. Solution: Invest in research and development to improve the quality and durability of natural rattan products. Explore treatments, coatings, or innovative manufacturing techniques that enhance the longevity and performance of rattan furniture or accessories. This can position natural rattan as a premium and long-lasting option. POTTERY Problem: Old practices such as pottery are bound to be forgotten or replace by new modern methods. Solution: Preserving the arts of pottery as a cultural heritage by passing down the knowledge through means of creating a club revolving around poetry as an extracurricular activity. presented by group Batik Cap presented by group Kimono

MALAYSIAN CULTURAL HERITAGE KELINGKAN Topic: Instilling the younger generation's fascination with the Kelingkan fabric. Problem: People nowadays prefer to wear western or other culture-inspired attire when going to events. Solution: Start from students' initiative which is to incorporate kelingkan inspired outfits. For example, some indian women wear sari everyday in their life . BATIK HANDICRAFT Topic: Ways to preserve the traditional Batik from dying. Problem: Many people ignore the real value of Batik. instead of buying the original batik, some people tend to buy and sell fake batik Solution: Doing an exhibition inviting trusted batik companies that produce handmade batik, from this they can learn how to differentiate real batik from massproduced Batik. presented by group Kuey Tiau presented by group Sumandak

TEKAT Problem: Skills required time and patience which make younger generation refuse to try as it is hard to make. Solution: Provide skills workshops and talk programs to spread general knowledge. For example, gather all experienced practitioners to help the younger generation in learning how to make tekat and share their skills, knowledge and techniques. Problem: The songket is too expensive and people aren't as interested in appreciating its value due the designs are so formulaic and limited in variety. As a result, the songket industry is slowly dying out. Solution: By organising international displays that highlight the Songket's heritage and cultural relevance, focusing in particular on its motifs, in an effort to make it more relevant to future generations. As the show will be held explicitly, whether in public places, universities, or both, it is going to bring an array of songket and professional songket weavers, as well as some fashion designers, who will collaborate on refreshing the designs and themes. It is hoped that this exhibition will grab the interest of young people and spark their dedication to upholding Songket values. SONGKET presented by group Gendik presented by group Sakura

The club is going to have regular meetings and occasional events that provide opportunities for learning and networking. TELEPUK Topic: Establishing the continuity of Telepuk tradition. Problem: Young generation lack exposure about kain telepuk.
