Greetings!
The notion that "Home is the first school, and School is the
second home" has always fascinated me and it has become
true today. Coronavirus has had a significant impact on our
lives, including our educational system, students and parents.
Our homes have become schools, parents have taken on the
role of teachers, teachers have delved into the realm of
technology. The positive outcomes of the pandemonium are
farfetched! This e-magazine is yet another one of its kind and
a fantastic way to connect and be innovative. It's a great
pleasure for me to associate with all of you through this e-
magazine.
The diversity and ingenuity of the magazine illustrate ISAM
students’ skills and I congratulate the entire team on their
commitment and hard work in creating this magazine. I am
confident that our young children's positive attitude, hard
work, perseverance, and creative ideas will kindle the readers'
interest and transport them to a magical world of unbridled
joy and pleasure.
The e-magazine has given the ‘Tale of Two Countries’, India
and Oman, and the remarkable difference the global
collaboration has brought about in these two countries. From
SGIS campus in the Indian state of Maharashtra, Incredible
India, the team is closely working with the fraternity of ISAM
situated on the sprawling campus in the outskirts of the
Muscat city, Oman, and maintaining a camaraderie between
the two entities. Let the bonhomie between the two schools
continue to thrive as it creates a profound difference to the
education of students across the region. My best wishes to all
the students and teachers to excel in all their future
endeavours.
Warm regards and blessings!

keep alive the flame of intelligence that is so
much more than abstract problem-solving skill.
Therefore, education at ISAM is based on the
idea that each person finds identity, meaning,
and purpose in life through connections to the
community, to the natural world, and to spiritual
values such as compassion and peace. This is done
by direct engagement with the surrounding of the
students and hands-on learning. Children join the

Health and Hygiene, Mathematics, Quiz, Charity,

phonics, Gardening, Nature and Adventure, IT,
Music, Art and Craft etc. They discover their
strengths and talents and learn life skills.
The school stresses on the importance of
developing a child’s ability to survive in the modern
world along with academic skills. They learn how to
meet challenges presented to them and be a
responsible citizen of the world. Every child at
ISAM is special, and each child is taught to
prioritize themselves, find their worth, discover
their abilities and to enable themselves to do what
they want in their life. Doing what they want ties
into the relationships that they build and how they
treat those relationships. Children are also
educated of their relationships with family and
friends, as well as with others. It teaches them of
social development, health, intellectual
development, social skills etc.
ISAM 4
Adult life isn’t easy; it has a lot of ups and
downs and a timid, vulnerable person cannot
survive it very easily. Hence, it is very important to
be a resilient individual. Resilience is a learned
quality, not an inborn one. Children at ISAM are
taught to face difficulties head-on and overcome
them with a positive attitude. No child is labeled
here as a certain category. By accommodating
differences and refusing to label children, for
example, as “learning disabled” or “hyperactive,”
teachers bring out the unique gifts contained
within each child’s spirit.
ISAM helps children learn at their own pace.
Instead of requiring all children to work at a
uniform speed, the school lets students go at a
pace they are comfortable with. This method also
avoids boredom, loss of interest, or frustration.
ISAM is a school where learning is experiential. A
love of learning is encouraged by the school in
order to have a life where one can learn from
anything and everything in this rapidly advancing
world. The teachers, students and parents of ISAM
join hands to make the learning process as
inclusive as possible, and fun and educative for all
students. An ideal environment that nurtures the
talents and requirements of students; that’s what
ISAM provides. No child is treated inferior to
another; all children are treated as geniuses with
their own abilities. ISAM provides students multiple
opportunities to showcase their existing talents
and discover new ones. That is why it excels at all
levels.

between the 12th and the 15th centuries. The ruins of the immense fort, with its walls and towers
of unbaked brick and its stone foundations, can be considered as a remarkable example of
Oman’s splendid architecture.

Jabrin Castle, also spelled as Jibreen Castle, is a late 17th century built fort, located about 175
km from Muscat, and is popularly known for its decorated windows, wooden balconies and
stunning artwork on the ceilings. A few highlights of the Jabrin Castle are the curved arches,
the wooden galleries and the painted interior ceilings. The design of the interior stairs of the
castle is also remarkable. The stairs along the first-floor stairwell are unusually low and
shallow so that they can easily be traversed by the horses.

The Jabrin Castle was built by Imam Bel’arab bin Sultan Al Yarubi. Jabrin Castle is different
from other Omani forts because it was not built in the times of war and is not a fortification that
