SAM’s Club of Zanesville held a special surprise party for Sr. Moose Lodge member, Joe
Batross. Joe is at SAM’s every morning doing the shopping for the Zanesville Moose Lodge
and has for many years. Recently Joe has had some health issues and SAM’s heard about
it and wanted to do something for him. The Lodge members and his family were invited as

well as the employees of SAM’s.

The hospitality of our local SAM’s club is over the top. They had a spread of breakfast
items, fresh fruit, water, milk, juice and two cakes set up. The em-
ployees wrote special messages to Joe on SAM’s Club vests and pre-
sented them to him. They even asked him to lead their weekly meet-
ing chant. Joe was so surprised to see everyone from the lodge and
his family there. It was a very touching display of humanity and

kindness that was above and beyond.

Joe and his family want to send a sincere thank you out to SAM’s
Club of Zanesville and all the Moose lodge members and family that

made this celebration such a wonderful event.

Governors Corner

It is time once again for the Zanesville Moose Lodge Election of Officers. The
2015/2016 Election Year runs from May 2015 to May 2016. Open offices this year are Governor,
Jr. Governor, Treasurer, Two-Year and Three-Year Trustee, and One-Year Prelate. Any member
of the Zanesville Loyal Order of Moose, whose dues are in good standing, can run for office. If you
would like to run for an office of the lodge, please see any current officer or Ron Baughman, Ad-
ministrator. Nominating committee meetings are scheduled for Thursday, February 19th at 5:30,
Thursday, March 19th at 5:30, and Thursday, March 26th at 5:30 PM.

Self nomination forms must be submitted prior to the last date of nominating committee
meetings.

Recently the Audit Committee did an audit on the pill capsules that hold each members
number. These capsules are drawn when we have our Lodge drawings. The audit was held two
weeks in a row to double check to make sure numbers were correct and membership was current.
The committee pulled the capsules of all members whose dues were in arrears.

Your lodge needs volunteers and members to step up and help out to make our lodge better
for all members.

Moose Rider News

COME PARTY WITH THE MOOSE RIDERS……

ARE YOU A MOOSE RIDER? OR WOULD YOU LIKE TO JOIN THE MOOSE
RIDERS?
On Saturday, March 28, 2015 from 6 to 10 PM, the Zanesville Moose Riders will
be hosting a party and all Zanesville Moose Lodge members and their guests are
invited. There will be light refreshments, door prizes and a DJ.

In the past we have held a member appreciation dinner, but this year we wanted to try something
new and hope to get some new members. All new members pay $20 the first year and $15 each
addition consecutive year. Current members should pay their dues and pick up their new member-
ship cards at the party. We will have Moose Rider t-shirts for sale and will be holding our yearly
election of officers. If you would like to run for office, please come to the party and nominate your-
self or someone else.

The Moose Riders hold many lodge events, serve breakfast once a month and go on rides and
state Moose Rider events and meetings throughout the year. We give away a $1,000 college
scholarship yearly, adopt families at Christmas, give to many charities, go on biker runs and events,
hold a golf outing and help to make improvements to our lodge. We have a lot of fun and would
love to have you as a member. You do not have to ride a motorcycle to be a member of the Moose
Riders, but you do have to be a member of the Zanesville Moose Lodge.

Whether you join or not, come party with us!!

WOTM Chapter news Chapter #663

Good day Moose members!

We are getting close to the end of our chapter year pushing forward for the Award of Achievement
for the Women of the Moose with help from our men and women I am hoping the chapter will reach
this goal!

We need new officers for the incoming year if you will help us out as officers I will help you with whatever is needed.
We need presiding officer Senior Regent, Junior Regent, Secretary and Recorder. If you wish to fill one of these offices
please contact any woman member. We will welcome you aboard and will give you all the support you need.

We have plans for March 29, 2015 @ 5:00 pm a Spaghetti Dinner for all Zanesville Moose member’s men and women
for our appreciation of your support in this past year of Loyal Order & Women of the Moose raffles & functions. Please
plan to attend.

The Women of the Moose coworker of the month is Waynette Tackett. Thanks for all you do for the Lodge & Women of
the Moose. You are appreciated!

The Women of the Moose meetings are 2nd & 4th Thursday @ 7:00 pm. It would sure be nice to see some of our
coworkers attending our meetings. It takes less than 1 hour, come and see what you are missing!

We have a drawing planned with envelopes numbering 1-500. If you draw the envelope numbered #1 you pay a pen-
ny, if you draw envelope numbered #399 - you pay $3.99, and so on, with the number 500 envelope being free. When
all envelopes are sold we will draw the winner and they will receive $500.00! Good luck to everyone! (Names will be
listed with numbers drawn, your ticket will be your receipt). Someone will be the lucky winner!
