What We’re All About
The Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology (BSIT) Transfer Program is a degree
completion curriculum designed for students who have been awarded a qualified
Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree in an industrial or technical related field.
The courses completed in the qualified technical AAS degree provide the foundation
and half of the courses required in the major for the Industrial Technology degree. The
BSIT degree program allows students to tailor a curriculum to their specific career
goals.
Admissions Requirements
1. Completed AAS degree in an
approved area.
2. Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA
(including all higher education
institutions attended).
3. Completed 3 hours of English
composition equivalent to ECU’s
ENGL 1100 with a grade of “C” or
higher.

Our program offers eight unique concentrations, that ensure you get the courses and
experiences you need for your specific career path. Regardless of which concentration
you choose, we offer 5 core classes that emphasize leadership, management, and
communication skills to increase your marketability in the workforce.

Our Concentrations
Bioprocess Manufacturing (BIOP)
Program Description: Prepares students for supervisory roles in
pharmaceutical and food processing fields.
What You’ll Study: Recall procedures, industry regulations and standards,
waste treatment, quality, Six Sigma.
Post-Graduation Opportunities: Lab manager, production supervisor, project
manager.
Additional Info: Online and on-campus.
Graduates of our program are working as engineering technologists, freelance
contractors, network administrators, teaching at community colleges, and managing
teams at leading companies, like IBM, Cisco, and Honeywell Aerospace.
Industrial Supervision (SUPER)
Program Description: Prepares students for leadership and management roles
within a variety of technology fields.
What You’ll Study: Management, supervision, planning, logistics, engineering
technology, and technical writing.
Post-Graduation Opportunities: Flexible opportunities for leadership roles in a
wide variety of technical fields.
Additional Info: Online and on campus
Distribution and Logistics (IDIS)
Program Description: Prepares students to manage the movement and delivery
of goods and services throughout the world.
What You’ll Study: Students can choose to focus on either distributor sales,
supply chain, or transportation. An emphasis is placed on business to
business sales, and large scale scheduling and planning.
Post-Graduation Opportunities: Logistician, transportation manager, supply
chain manager, distribution manager, inventory manager.
Additional Info: Online and on-campus Professional certifications available.
Manufacturing Systems (MFG)
Program Description: Prepares students for supervisory roles in
manufacturing, operations, and materials planning.
What You’ll Study: Plant layout, process excellence, lean manufacturing, six
sigma, and work methods and ergonomics.
Post-Graduation Opportunities: Industrial engineering technologist,
manufacturing engineer, quality manager.
Additional Info: Offered both online and on-campus.
Information Computer Technology (ICT)
Program Description: Prepares students for successful careers in computer
networking, information technology, and technical management.
What You’ll Study: Students learn strategies in the design, deployment,
security, and troubleshooting of computer networks, while learning the needed
skills to advance in a technology based career. Opportunities to earn industry-
standard certifications.
Post-Graduation Opportunities: Network administrator, network analyst, data
base administrator, information security analyst, IT manager.
Additional Info: Must have industry-standard certification (current Cisco
CCENT, CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network+) and/or specific prerequisite
coursework completed prior to enrollment. Offered both online and on-campus.
Health Information Technology (HIT)
Program Description: Prepares students to become networking professionals
that manage, analyze, design, and deploy information technologies and systems
for health care organizations.
What You’ll Study: Students learn how to utilize medical technology, and
develop skills in health services & health information management.
Post-Graduation Opportunities: Health information technician, health
technologist and health care information manager.
Additional Info: Must have industry-standard certification (current Cisco
CCENT, CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network+) and/or specific prerequisite
coursework completed prior to enrollment. This concentration is offered online.
Architectural Technology (ARCH)
Program Description: Develops skills using industry standard software for
digitizing and product realization, and development equipment. Prepares
students to be members or managers of a design team.
What You’ll Study: Sustainability/Green Technology, Graphics, Drafting,
AutoCAD, Planning.
Additional Opportunities: ADDA Certification.
Post-Graduation Opportunities: Architectural Technologist, Design team
leader.

Mechanical Technology (MECH)
Program Description: Develops skills using industry standard software for
digitizing, product realization, and development equipment to support engineers
in the design and development phases of projects that involve mechanical
systems.
What You’ll Study: Graphics, AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, Robotics, CNC.
Additional Opportunities: ADDA Certification, ATMAE Robotics Team.
Post-Graduation Opportunities: Mechanical technologist, design team
manager.
