Working on the Next Big Thing
is the JMF brand ethos, it portrays our hard working ethic as well
as the physically large projects, constructions and installations we work on.

At JMF Group we understand that good brand management analysis and planning can reveal how a brand is actually perceived in its sector.
Good brand management also includes developing an excellent relationship with a brand’s target market, with tangible elements of this including the product itself - by which we mean things such as look, price, packaging and so on.
08 www.JMF-GROUP.co.uk
The intangible elements, however, are the experience that the consumer has with the brand, as well as the relationship they have with it.
Our brand managers therefore oversee all aspects of consumer brand association, including relationships with members of the supply chain.

HOUSE OF TIDES LEISURE REGIONAL
From the day he opened for business, JMF Group has helped House of Tides founder, Kenny Atkinson to design, develop and build his brand.
The brief entailed creating a brand to match Kenny’s cutting-edge food and restaurant within the recently restored, Grade 1-listed building, located on the historic Newcastle Quayside.
Back in the 1600s the water from the River Tyne would come right up to the doors of the old building, hence
the term ‘House of Tides’, which inspired us to show the waves in a circular logo which represents a ship’s porthole.
To demonstrate his pride in the North East, Kenny was keen to use local landmarks as part of the brand designs, so we utilised illustrations of each of the iconic bridges, which also act as a location map for the building.
We would like to congratulate Kenny on his ever-growing popularity, his recent Michelin Star and his restaurant being voted best in the UK by the AA.

TP TRESOR PARIS RETAIL INTERNATIONAL
We were invited to tender for this prestigious print and design contract following a strong recommendation from another international jewellery brand. And having analysed Tresor’s current brand and statistics, we then used what we learned to help us in our proposal of costs.
OUR RESPONSE
After winning the tender, our designers began developing existing designs to bring them to a level which reflected the class and elegance which is synonymous with the Tresor Paris brand. We then applied this sleek look over a variety of POS and other materials, including everything from perfect-bound brochures to full bus wraps.
Construction
Creating all the necessary outputs for Tresor Paris required a whopping 89% of our in-house machines to be utilised. And by using a combination of print and print finishing techniques we were able to hit deadlines and produce the highest quality products.
Result
Since acquiring our first Tresor Paris tender in 2013,
we have continued to build a strong working relationship and have been given the opportunity to help the brand grow even further.

HOTEL INDIGO / MARCO PIERRE WHITE LEISURE
REGIONAL
Our working relationship with Hotel Indigo began with an introduction by a local business based in Newcastle city centre.
As the initial construction of Hotel Indigo got underway, our design team helped with some basic creative branding to develop the hotel’s identity. Following which we put together a successful presentation which saw us being appointed to design and produce the whole of Hotel Indigo’s brand materials.
So from simple door hanging signs and stationery we have since assisted in the opening of the Marco Pierre White restaurant, with a whole range of menus and posters created, printed and finished in-house, and have also been working on exterior signage.
And as a result of our success here, we are now branching out into supplying other sites with all their marketing requirements.

UNCLE SAM’S LEISURE REGIONAL
This all-new, Redcar-based American diner was a designer’s dream project, especially as we were brought in at the very early stages, with a requirement for naming options being part of our initial brief.
Our team of designers presented a range names and logo ideas, and once a route had been selected we set about creating the Uncle Sam’s brand. This was inspired by
‘50s Americana and involved us producing table menus, wall and window graphics, as well as a wide range of promotional materials to help make Uncle Sam’s grand opening a huge success.
Since then, the diner has proved to be so popular that there are plans in the pipeline for further sites to be opened soon.

After careful care and consideration the “mark” was created using resources and references from nature and from spheres the “Hibou Brand” was created. A bespoke font was constructed to substantiated the brand and allowing complete identity uniqueness. The outcome of the identity is delicate, elegant, subtle and tailored to the uniqueness of Hibou Blanc.
The RESPONSE
After the initial presentation to the management team of Hibou Blanc the brand journey was well received and accepted with jubilation. The sophistication and “feel” of the brand journey ties hand in hand with the customer experience at Hibou Blanc.

Developments in printing technology include the movable type invented by Bi Sheng around 1040 AD and the printing press invented by Johannes Gutenberg in the 15th century. The technology of printing played a key role in the development of the Renaissance and the scientific revolution, and laid the material basis for the modern knowledge-based economy and the spread
of learning to the masses.

NEWCASTLE UNITED RETAIL
REGIONAL
JMF has enjoyed a long-standing relationship with Newcastle United Football Club.
Our journey together started with us fulfilling basic print requirements such as letterheads, compliment slips and season tickets, after which we went on to assist in the opening of Shearer’s Bar, from initial concept to design and print.
Over the past 15 years employees at JMF and the club have developed a strong working relationship, which together with recommendations from Sodexo Prestige have seen us being awarded big opportunities in recent years.
Our most recent success with the club was being given chance to pitch for the tender of all internal kiosk signage within the stadium, which we won. And if you visit the stadium today you can see our designs in every kiosk.

Motion graphics are pieces of digital footage or animation which create the illusion of motion or rotation, and are usually combined with audio for use in multimedia projects. Motion graphics are usually displayed via electronic media technology, but may also be displayed via manual powered technology (e.g. thaumatrope, phenakistoscope, stroboscope, zoetrope, praxinoscope, flip book).
30 www.JMF-GROUP.co.uk
The term distinguishes still graphics from those with a transforming appearance over time, without over-specifying the form. While any form of experimental or abstract animation can be called motion graphics, the term typically more explicitly refers to the commercial application
of animation and effects to video, film, TV and interactive applications.

MYMO TECHNOLOGY WORLDWIDE
MYMO is a brand new company that has recently developed an innovative app-based solution for runners, athletes and sports professionals.
The app analyses running styles then collates data through the use of a specialist sock which the user wears whilst running. The data is then communicated visually and graphically by the app via a smartphone or tablet.
The Brief
To generate a wire frame 3D model of a realistic human foot which can then be animated to replicate Pronation, Supination, etc., to highlight the pros, cons and dangers of the user’s running style. The app then communicates the findings through the animations to give the athlete a better understanding of their needs and what kind of footwear they require.
RESULT
MYMO told us they were overwhelmed with the finished product as the level of animation we delivered replicated real Pronation, Supination, etc. so accurately.
The quality we achieved surpassed the expectations of their low budget and they are now looking to expand the app into other forms of sports science.

Signage is the design or use of signs and symbols to communicate a message to a specific group, usually for the purpose of marketing or a kind of advocacy. Signs are any kind of visual graphics created to display information to a particular audience.
This is typically manifested in the form of wayfinding information in places such as streets or on the inside and outside buildings. Signs vary in form and size based on location and intent, from more expansive banners, billboards, and murals, to smaller street signs, street name signs, sandwich boards and lawn signs. Newer signs may also use digital or electronic displays.
We’re pleased to be able to say that JMF is one of the UK’s fastest growing sign companies, offering state-of-the-art services across a wide variety of market sectors.
Should you get the chance to take a look inside our 25,000 square foot factory units, you’ll discover the latest in-house design, metal and plastic fabrication facilities, along with vinyl, large format and digital print capability. And it’s all backed by first class project management, national installation services and the maintenance of corporate signs and images.
