WORKING ON THE NEXT BIG THING...
KENNY ATKINSON OF
JMF Group helped House of Tides Founder, Kenny Atkinson, design, develop and build his brand & advertising from the very first day he opened House of Tides. We would like to congratulate Kenny on his ever growing popularity, his recent Michelin Star and being voted best restaurant in the UK by AA.
The brief entailed creating a brand to match Kenny Atkinson’s cutting edge food and restaurant within the recently restored Grade 1 listed building, located on the historic Newcastle Quayside.
Back in the 1600’s the water from the River Tyne would always come right up to the doors of the
old building, hence the term ‘House of Tides’ this inspired us to create the circular logo, showing the waves, and the whole device represents a porthole on a ship.
Kenny was keen to use local landmarks as part of the brand designs, to show his pride in the North East, we illustrated each of the iconic bridges, which also act as a location map for the building.

WORKING ON THE NEXT BIG THING...
CASE STUDY 03

JMF have had a long-standing relationship with Newcastle United Football Club over the past 15 years. Starting off our journey together fulfilling basic print requirements such as letterheads, compliment slips and season tickets, we then went on assist in the opening on Shearer’s Bar, from initial concept, design to print we did it all!
Ever since these early years employee’s at JMF and NUFC have developed a strong working relationship along with recommendations from Sodexo Prestige we have been given big opportunities in these recent years.
Our most recent success with NUFC was being given chance to pitch for the tender of the all internal kiosk signage within the stadium. Through our hard work and creative presentations we were successful in winning the tender. If you go to NUFC today, you can see our designs and hard work splashed along and around every kiosk. Looking towards the future, we hope to continue all our work for them.

CASE STUDY 04 WORKING ON THE NEXT BIG THING...
JMF started off their working relationship with Hotel Indigo after being invited by a local business in Newcastle city centre.
After the initial construction of Hotel Indigo started, JMF’s design team helped with some basic creative branding to develop the hotels identity from the onset. We also put together a presentation, following the existing brand guidelines, which was a success so JMF were given the whole brand and associated materials to design and produce!
It started off with simple door hanging signs and stationery, but since then we assisted in the opening of the Marco Pierre White restaurant, with a range menus and posters created, printed and finished in-house.
JMF are glad to have worked with such an established restaurant chain. Following all this we have since been working on exterior signage and we have branched out into supplying other sites with all their marketing requirements.

WORKING ON THE NEXT BIG THING...
CASE STUDY 05
The Brief
JMF were invited to tender for the upcoming print and design contract. We acquired this opportunity through a strong recommendation from another international jewellery brand. JMF analysed Tresor’s current brand and statistics, then used this to help us in our proposal of costs.
OUR RESPONSE
After winning the tender, JMF’s designers set off tweaking and modifying designs to help bring it up to the level of class and elegance that is the Tresor Paris brand. We then applied this sleek look over a variety of POS and other materials. These included everything from perfect bound brochures to full bus wraps.
Construction
Manufacturing of all the jobs used a total of 89%
of JMF’s in-house machines. Using a combination of print and print finishing techniques we were able to hit deadlines and achieve the highest quality products
Result
Since acquiring our first tender JMF have continued to have a strong working relationship since 2013 and have been given the opportunity to help Tresor Paris’ brand grow with our help.
